cheers Rickie.

i got the back cover problem on mine too. i managed to solve it though.

i already had back.jpg and front.jpg in the folder with the music. so i tried renaming front to folder, but that didn't work. then i removed back.jpg from the folder, and it worked. when i replaced back.jpg, and renamed it to a word beginning with a letter before 'f' in the alphabet, it would once again show the back instead of the front.

so the problem, in my case anyway, lies with the naming of images.

I couldn't get it to hide the box below the cd-cover - even if I had unselected all options in the notifier tab.

Is it just on my computer or is it using incredibly much cpu time?

you have to select Always Hide in the Notifier tab

If all your music is in the same folder, it will do..  :unsure:

What do you mean?

For example, I have my music sorted like this:

C:\My Music\BAND\ALBUM\SONG

Will this still work? I'm guessing as long as there are ID3 tags.

Yeah that will work fine, what other people are on about is when u have all your music by different artists in one single folder ie c:/music/downloaded/ but for albums its fine

Remember:

1) if you have front.jpg and back.jpg files (for covers): the best read cover method is "folder.jpg & alternative cover" (where the alternative cover you have to set to front.jpg);

2) if you have one folder for all your mp3 set "Artist - Album.jpg & folder.jpg & alternative cover" method.

Don't forget to read "Readme.txt" for further informations!

Winamp CD Case beta 6 build 08 was released for beta testing.

What's new?

- Theme manager: now you can select and create themes; there are two pre-configured: "Case" (the one we used to see) and "Aero" (a new theme just to show the possibilities - see screenshot below). By the way, sorry for the "Aero" artwork (I'm just a programmer).

What should I know?

- This version will delete your old settings (to keep registry clean).

- Don't uninstall your previous version (just unzip and copy the TWO files in WCC's folder). If you need the full version you can download it here: http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Winam...se/1109367710/1

- Invisible buttons improved (will be avaiable both in case or cover area)

- Context menu improved

- Small bugs fixed

WCC beta 6 build 30

This is probably the last build. If everything is fine it will be officially released next week.

Plugin won't start WCC if it's already running

ID3v2 cover bug (that was wasting system resources) partly fixed (some ID3v2 tags can cause the issue)

Workaround regarding Exit Winamp feature

Just curious, if I play my files via my iPod (e.g directly from the iPod HD) then this will create an image in my iPod system folders (where the music is stored). Will this affect my iPod in anyway (too scared to try, dun wanna corrupt my iPod database). If it will, maybe a "save images to specified folder" under Artist \ Album, then they can be retrieved later (when I play the same song through the iPod) but wont actually write to my iPod.
