Meshuggah,

In order to beta 6 works properly you need to install beta 5 first (that contains all necessary files).

Next week, beta 6 will have its own setup...

You can download beta 5 here:

http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Winam...se/1109367710/1

After install beta 5, just unzip and copy the TWO files in the WCC's folder:

Meshuggah,

I'm not a designer. The Case artwork was made by Brainbug and the Aero by Amit.

Maybe one of this forum member could help us to make one or more themes.

ahhh i understand, well ive been looking at The Case, i might modify it and zip it and put it up here

would i need permission from Brainbug, you or both?

I just dont like the fact that some of the cover art gets cut off at the top left

Vyk: thats actually pretty cool, ill try that out now

::::i like everything but the gradients, as it makes each covert art brighter than it should be and takes away from the true colors.....can u take that off?

Here, i modified your image. Hope you don't mind, but this is EXACTLY what i wanted, now this program is perfect :)

upload this image, put the dimensions of the .png, and set the image to 0-0 offset on both Top and Left, and it should work perfectly

BUG

When disabling a secondary monitor, the cd case continues to show up on the disabled monitor and has no way of going back to the primary without re-enabling and dragging.

Dear beta testers,

About

~~~~~~~
Beta 6 Build 36 is a new major version of WCC.
Now all skins are stored in WCC's "Skins" folder.
Each subfolder is a skin and contains 4 png (case.png, notifier.png, nocover.png and searching.png) and 1 ini file (settings.ini).
The zip file includes 4 skins: Case, Aero, Milk and Glow.
Installation
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1) Since there is no setup for now, install the full version of WCC beta 5. You can get it here: http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Winam...se/1109367710/1

2) Download beta 6 build 36: http://www.closetosoftware.com/wcctheme2.zip

3) Copy "CD Case.exe" to WCC's folder.

4) Copy "Skins" folder to WCC's folder.

Making a new skin

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) create a new empty subfolder in WCC's "Skins" folder
2) copy your custom files to it. REMEMBER: your custom files MUST HAVE the following names (case.png, notifier.png, nocover.png and searching.png). If one of the files is missing WCC will take it from the "Case" subfolder.
3) Now start WCC then rigth click it and select "Skin Manager". Select your theme and then configure it. After set press "Apply" or "Ok" button. The "settings.ini" will be generated.
Now you can easily share your custom theme!
Winamp CD Case beta 6 build 41:
I think WCC is now ready.
What's new?
- Skin Manager: "Author" tab: write the author and contact of a skin
- Skin Manager: "Text" tab: Text area size control (to even better fit the notifier)
- Some bugs fixed
http://www.closetosoftware.com/wcctheme2.zip
NOTE: it's important to unzip and copy ALL the new files, including "Skins" folder!
The details about installation are in post #63:
Thank you for your feedback!
thanks a lot, I didn't read the entire thread. :)
I am having problems, though. Check the screenie. Also, the cover shown is not for the album I am playing... what can be wrong?
How do you organize your mp3? One single folder for all songs or one folder per CD?
Do have covers saved in folders or ID3v2 tags?
Anyway, one of the best settings are:
"Options>Read cover>" then add "Artist - Album.jpg" and "Any image" to the right list (followig this order too).
In addition, the search cover depends on the right ID3 tag.
You can be prompt before downloading. Options>Download>Prompt before
uhm, I encode using Ogg Vorbis at a nominal bitrate of 192 kbps. I hope WCC can read tags of such files. Each album has it's own directory in the 'My Music' folder. Also, I don't have any cover jpegs stored on my PC. I see that each cover downloaded by WCC is stored in the folder of the song/album.
What is that big M in the screenshot about?
