I'm not exactly sure, but if you havent tried it and would like to see a very stable and almost finished build, go here. This version is a self-installing executable.

and if you like it, update to that last build Carlos just posted about here

It should work for everyone but me:DD

New build (18 Jun 2005):

The main feature is that WCC can follow Winamp window state (minimize, restore, exit).

E.g. if you minimize Winamp WCC will be minimized too. If you restore it... If you exit it...

To test the new feature go to "Options>Player" and check "Follow player window state".

Don't uninstall beta 8! If you need it get it here: http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Winam...se/1109367710/1

;)

This is a great program and I have been using it for a while but the only "problem" I have with it is that I do play a CD the Album look Up feature kicks in and tries to download a cover for it. I don't know if you added the feature in one of the later builds (didn't read the rest of the posts) but if you could add some kind of option for not looking for covers when a CD is playing it would be a perfect program in my eyes.

Can we have a "Pin to Desktop" Feature? And please bring back the "Exit when player ended..)

The exit is working along with the new feature. Do you need "Exit" apart from minimize and restore?

Another small glitch I noticed.

When using the "glow" skin, song titles aren't always appropriately aligned in the notifier thus leading to this:

Go to "Skin Manager>Text>Text area position and size (pixels)" and increase the "Reduce size by" setting (e.g. 32). Manage the "Left" setting could give you a better area too. Finally, when the case zoom is reduced uncheck "Center text" si also better. Try some settings!

Is there a way to make it read the cover from the folder above?

For example:

My Music\Album Name\CD1\Track 01.mp3

My Music\Album Name\folder.jpg

And when I think that I've seen all ways to organize songs and covers... A new one shows up! Unfortunately there is no way to maake WCC read this location. Sorry!

I'll see what I can do...

Yeah, that works okay. I just thought it might automatically abbreviate those long names using "..." instead once a title doesn't quite fit in. Cause it seems to be that way in the other skin styles like "Milk" which I used the days before.

I'll see what I can do...

In regurads to my last post, instead of having an option to turn it off make it so that it doesn't search for it right away make it wait for the CDDB look up to get done. I also have another question, when it does do a look up for a CD and puts it in the Covers folder how does it get the file name because it gets it wrong frequently--if I could put one in there I like/works it would be better then having WCC tring to find it every minute.

    • Signal accuses UK government of using child safety as cover for mass surveillance by David Uzondu Recently, the UK's Home Office announced a sweeping set of proposals to make Britain the "first country in the world" where children cannot share or view nude photos on their smart devices, an initiative that authorities claim will protect children from online predators and combat pornography. In response, Signal believes that while the government must keep children "safe" and "protected," it should do so through social services and education, not by "surveillance, funding cuts, and cover-ups." The company called the plan "dystopian" and warned that it violates everyone's fundamental right to privacy, arguing that scanning on the presumption of nudity will only strengthen the market dominance and data control of giant corporations like Apple and Google. The statement continues by accusing the government of hiding its true intentions under the guise of child safety. Signal argues that the Home Office is building an invisible surveillance infrastructure that remains ripe for exploitation by future administrations and authoritarian regimes. According to the company, this aggressive approach completely ignores the actual needs of young people, such as properly funded schools and mental health services. Tech companies like Apple and Google have a three-month window to implement these mandatory device-level filters across the United Kingdom. If these tech firms refuse to comply with the mandate, the government will pass emergency legislation to force them to comply, threatening massive fines and even going after the CEOs of these companies with criminal charges. The technology will work by blocking explicit images directly on the operating system of all smartphones and tablets by default. This system monitors the device camera and third-party apps to intercept nudity before anyone can upload or send the image. Adults can still view explicit content, but only after completing a strict age verification check to unlock their devices. Several bodies like the NSPCC and Barnardo's praised the Home Office's decision, arguing that device-level intervention stops the cycle of grooming before it starts. The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) also supported the policy, claiming that tech companies can implement on-device checks "without threatening privacy or collecting any data."
    • Did you watch the keynote? It is way beyond what is described in this article. Looks interesting. Now it is time for them to deliver unlike what happened in 24.
