i don't think he was healing himself with a spell though.  because i couldn't disrupt it with my mesmer.  the problem was that none of us had a good spell to use against him to bring down his hp.  but still, lvl 28?  wtf is up with that o_O  if our lvl cap is 20 than so should the monsters :p

i've killed him, i remember he was very difficult, it took 6 lvl 20 characters working together but we got him

Yay!, I've finally made Elona's Reach and not with a great party, but with a group of henchman :)

I've tried the mission something like 15 times with numerous parties, but there would allways be some guys not listening and agro-ing to many enemies at once. So I finally decided to try it with a group of henchman and on the second try I completed the mission, without any real problems...

Hey Angie Faith, what's your e-mail so I can add you to my Xfire thing?

I failed on a big quest yesterday with LOADS of charr, anyone feel like helping out?

You dont need my mail to add me. Just search for username "lorddeathcro" when adding.

I'm lvl 10 now btw. Half way to 11. The game is fun! :D

The weird thing is, there is a storage area at the HoH.  I guess she is there for people who make it there with their PvE character.  I am slow and discovered last night that you can fight with PvP and PvE characters in a PvP game.

Oh, my bad, sorry for confusing... It seems you can trade with other characters too? Hmm, it's a bit weird since I don't think you could earlier in the betas. I recall they didn't want "quickie" PvP players gain the same advantages as PvE players that had went through the entire game, but I guess they changed their stance about it to give the PvP players able to get more item variety instead.

Yes, PvP and PvE is pretty seamless in this game, and PvE questing / training can unlock item components and skills for PvP players.

I just completed the quest "Althea's Ashes". I have heard from many a player that this quest is really hard and some people die alot before they complete it. I have a question, however...

Did this new patch lower the difficulty of this quest? I mean, i did it on my first try and i only died one time and that was after i had the ashes. Was this quest much harder before the patch, or am i confusing this quest with another?

heh I did this quest right before the patch and boy was it hard. We had a group of 4 all about level 9ish and we eventually ended up just killing 1 charr, dying, and then going back and killing another charr. We did thid probably 6-7 times just to finish up this quest. The -60% didn't help either from dying so much.

dammit, something with the servers, i keep getting kicked :/

the ashes quest is one of the hardest quest so far. we did so many times we lost count. we were all at -60% by the end of it. but we kept trying and trying until we eventually killed'em all except for the ones who were surrounding the ashes. someone managed to go up and touch it before being killed. so we got the quest ;)

Any of you guys manage to do the mission at The Gates of Kryta. There are these damned skeleton like foes and when they hit you, it casts poison for 22 seconds. It gets abosulty rediculous, when after finally the spell wears off, one hit, BAM another 22 seconds of life degration.

Well, i was Level 13 at the time. I only used henchmen. A fighter, ranger, and healer. I myself was a warrior. I just picked off the small groups one by one till i had a path to the alter. I fought the axe and blade charr in melee combat and equiped a long-range weapon and attack from afar on the spell casting charr while my fighter henchmen went and meleed them. My ranger attacked with her bow and my healer kept my fighter healed. When i had my path to the alter i started for it, turned on sprint, used endure pain, touched the alter, and then died for my first time. I then just warped back to piken square...

i got to the mountains area ;)

i on my original armor, i need to craft a new one, i got enough iron, i just need some Fur.

where the hell do i find fur?

edit

Hasnt crashed on me. To get fur you need to get the expert salvage kit and use it on stuff. I dont know the english names for the items though you need to use it on, and you dont allways get fur. Expert salvage kit costs 400, you can use it 25times but you dont allways get fur, sometimes you get some other crappy **** where I dont know the name ^^. You can also buy fur later on, but its the most expensive item if I was told right

I hope that post made sence

Yeah fur is really expensive and rare, around 1000gold for 1 fur, anyway yesterday i got 2 fur squares for 200 gold :woot: .

I still can't get my hands on any fur squares. Where can I find them? As in, I don't want to pay for one, just salavage it.

I think you can get it by using an expert salvage kit on charr hides or any hides, in fact anything that looks furry. And yeah i heard its cheaper now, by a lot.

    • Valve finally confirms Steam Machine prices, starts at $1049 for 512GB option by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The $1,428 option The Steam Hardware lineup that Valve announced last year is slowly starting to roll out. Following the recent Steam Controller launch, Valve has now confirmed the price of the Steam Machine, its all-in-one console-like solution for PC gaming in the living room. There are currently four variants being presented, with only the storage and the included controller being the biggest differences. All of the Steam Machines have the same internals consisting of a semi-custom AMD Zen 4 CPU with six cores and 12 threads, an RDNA 3 28CU GPU, 16GB of DDR5 memory, and 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, all inside the familiar box Valve has been showing off for months now. The Steam Machine base model starts at $1,049. This has a 512GB NVMe SSD but does not come with a Steam Controller. Keep in mind that storage can be expanded with the microSD card slot too. Next, the $1,128 model has the exact same storage as the previous one but it does come with the new Steam Controller. If you need the Steam Machine to have more storage for games and apps than that, then the 2TB tiers are also available. The $1,349 Steam Machine has no controller once again, but it does ship with two extra faceplates (red fabric and solid walnut) to replace the standard black one. The final option costs $1,428, and it adds the controller back into the bundle. The Steam Machine ships with the Linux-based SteamOS. The box has a 1 Gigabit Ethernet port, DisplayPort 1.4, and HDMI 2.0, as well as one USB-C and four USB-A ports. Keep in mind that when purchasing standalone, the Steam Controller has a $100 price tag. With the above bundles, that drops to $80. It's a rather expensive machine for the internals it is touting, though the design and small form factor do help it somewhat. However, at the same time, the lack of upgradability hurts it. Valve says the ongoing parts shortages and massive price hikes for memory were the leading causes for this price. "The overall effect is that our original goal for the price of Steam Machine is no longer viable," added the company. "So the prices we're sharing today reflect the state of the world for manufacturing; or, more accurately, it reflects the price of the components as we've secured them over the past 6 months." Valve wants interested gamers to reserve it now to get the chance to pre-order a Steam Machine starting June 25, with shipping starting on June 29. Head here to sign up. The invites to buy it will be sent in a randomized order.
    • What the press release doesn’t mention, however, is how much water the natural gas plant itself will consume, Natural gas plants use about 2,803 gallons of water per megawatt-hour produced, which is significantly less than coal-fired plants that use around 19,185 gallons per megawatt-hour. Overall, natural gas plants are more water-efficient, using 584% less water than traditional power plants on average. AI generated
