Yes, the latest update has made the game much better.

I have a PvP question: I have a Ranger/Mesmer, but for PvP I primarily use poison and trap skills. Can you make a Good Beastmaster PvP player? I have been training my pet, and he is 18 now. I was thinking of Beastmastery/Expertise/Domination (i am a R/Me)

Use DOM for BackFire and Empathy, while my pet wolf goes after their mages. But, the Wolf just doesn't seem to do enough damage. (No elite skills obtained yet for beastmastery)

Any ideas? I mean, Backfire sure puts the hurtin on thier mages. and I was hoping the Wolf could finish them off...

Maybe when he is lvl 20

(I do like the trapper though.) People get SOOOOOO [edit]mad[/edit] when I put a trap on a dead body :)

This game was a serious dissapointment basically for the following reasons:

Instanced world (defeates the whole point of MMORPG)

I can count the number of game items on one hand.

I can count the number of monsters on my other hand.

Invisibe walls... everywhere.

Level cap of 20, i can get to half that in about 2 days.

Killing monsters for XP is pointless. (Monsters give like 20xp and to lvl you need like 20K)

The zoning is so obvious and segregating.

The patch content is pretty crappy, this is however minor.

Im no newb to MMORPG eigher, i've played more of them extensively then most people even knew existed, and GW isn't up to standards.

your right in a lot of ways, but those reasons also make people like the game over normal MMOs

Your right in your assessment of it being not up to standards as an MMO, but most of the items you have listed exactly the reasons I love it :) I got sick of the daily grind, molestation by higher level (or greater numbers of) players of the opposite faction, and three to six hour instance runs in Warcraft. Now I have multiple characters that are easy to bring to the level cap to enter into PvP battles. The tight paths don't make me happy, but it's the only real gripe I have with the game. I prefer questing for XP to grinding endlessly on mobs.

This game wasn't really designed (as someone mentioned before) to hit higher levels and rape lowbies, as some others are. It was designed so you could become the most skillful PvPer you could be. Nobody else is going to design their character quite like yours, which gives it such a personal feel to each one you create and mold.

By the way: I have a completely unused copy (as in I haven't even registered they key!) of Warcraft I want to trade for a GW account. Let me know if you're interested; I'm serious!

thatd be valid if the game was an MMORPG. It isnt and the developers say it only has simularities to one

mosters increases as you go, although its very diablo ish where each area has set monsters. And I hate phantoms stupid things stopped me getting the bonus mission *mumble grumble*

Ahhh, i'm guessing she's pretty nifty?

Yap shes level 30. When I touched one of the eggs she became all angry and I thought that I would have to redo the mission all over again becuase of touching her eggs. But it said it was a bonus mission. I had 7 hench, and me, and we got her to about half health when we all started to get owned, badly and eventually all died. But than she lets you go, "forgives you", and you complete the mission.

Apparently the bonus is easy with just rangers and a few monks. I don't know tho o_O What makes it so hard is that she uses exhaustion on you. Not only do you lose energy but your overall energy goes down as well. By the end of it I only had like maybe 10 Energy points and I couldn't even cast any spells.

    • If you don't care to read what I said, then you prove my point. Maybe written media is beyond your attention span. Titles are not summaries my friend.
    • Nobody asked... in fact, I said "I don't care about political leanings"
    • TLDR. Here is a far better title (just a basic example): Windows 11 26H2 to allow disabling Web search results
    • Restore will get my vote, only if to see if things are any different, doubt it though but Labour and Conservatives too out of touch and same thing over and over and over…, Lib Dem who?
    • There is nothing wrong with this title. You have completely missed the plot when it comes to "clickbait." The issue was never that a title tries to entice you to click, that is how titles have worked for over 100 years. The issue is when the title subverts expectations, getting you to click expecting something that isn't there. The classic clickbait example is "Boyfriend caught cheating, what happens next will shock you," then what happened next is the girlfriend was upset...which is probably the least shocking outcome imaginable. If sounds like what you want is for the titles to be a collection of 10-word summaries that you can skim, get the just of the story, and only click if you want more details. That is not, never has been, and never will be what titles are. You can go all the way back to print newspapers during the great depression and see the same thing. The newspaper was locked in a vending machine, all you can see is the headline, you choose to put in 5¢ to buy the paper and read the rest if you want. Those headlines were written in a way to sell the paper, not just to provide a summery. Here are two actual headlines from that time, "Wall Street Lays an Egg," or "Stocks Hit Bottom?" Maybe you'd say something like "it was wrong then and it's still wrong now." Okay, fine opinion to have, but it isn't like Neowin is doing something unjurnalistic, they are just following the age-old standards for written media.
