Necros sacrifice their health quite a bit for some spells, so you might want to go Monk. Plus, if you are big on death magic, you can raise bone horrors and use the monk's "Heal Area" spell to keep them alive so you have a giant army everywhere you go :) Death magic necros love my monks, because I keep their minions alive as long as i can.

Mesmer IMO is a very good secondary profession, you can steal energy and avoid attacks. Mesmer is mainly for interrupting and punishing others for attacking. I my self have a W/Me and I am a bit of a shutdown tank, I strip enchantments and steal energy (as warriors have little energy) and interrupt with "cry of frasturation". My second character is a Me/E - a fast casting nuker, I can cast a firestorm on you in about 1 second instead of 4 :D

Anyway I would recommend mesmer, and if you want to see all the skill then head here.

Sigh.. not really the place for a rant per se, the economy seems to be whacked out in Guild Wars right now.

I bought the game after they nerfed the farming areas, and it seems gold is pretty hard to come by, and decent weapon upgrades all seem to be costing a fortune or two, something I lack... Even with my character now at the Ring of Fire, I can't seem to afford the multiple dozens of plats needed to assemble my dream weapon :(

Level 11 : Pyromancer? Elementist/Mesmer.? Love it.

Got Black Dye dunno what to with it. bought it from a noobie for 50gold w00:D:D

Vendor that bad Jackson.

As far as money goes, my wife and I just keep doing Nolani Academy over and over with our mesmer/monks when we need quick cash. Healing seed/ward against melee/inferno/phoenix...once you open that gate, you have 30-40 mobs dead in two minutes. Lots of money, Charr Hides (for making those fur squares), minor runes, and weapons for our lowbie toons drop all the time.

I haven't been able to play much in the last month with my job and all.. but I am getting back into it..

And it has really changed...

I am starting with a new character because I can't seem to get a decent group to get by "The Wilds" with my ranger.

I always end up on the group that has the monks who rush in first followed by the mesmers/elementalists.. and the warriors sit in the back with bows...

DON'T SEND YOUR SOFT SKIN IN FIRST! arrrggg..

FINALLY hit 20...

My wife and me dinged at the same moment with our E/Mos, leading a group through the Riverside Province mission and bonus.

We'd like to join a good guild now; we want to go to Droknar's, but do it the right way--with a party that fights through. Paying someone to run us there kind of goes against the way we want to play, yet it's difficult (if not impossible) to do so without support from a guild. Henchmen aren't an option, and the only 20s hanging around Beacon's Perch are W/Mo charging people to run there.

Plus all the other benefits of being in a guild are nice, too...GvG combat and questing with non-morons being the ones I'm most interested in. Does anyone have a good (preferably 15-30 person) guild that's looking for three mature members? Well, my brother in law may or may not be mature, but at least he's polite and can spell.

Very team based, but you can get henchmen if you decide that you don't like running with other players or you're a man short. Keep in mind that henchmen are not as smart or high levelled as players, but do ok in a pinch (especially the healer). Easy to understand, simple MMO, too. Monsters drop plenty of gear and money, so you never really have to grind endlessly to get decent stuff.

The best monks i've seen actually had 40-50 hp with the right build and they were friggin tanks (Going solo in the underworld)

yes, they mostly have a hp of 105, with 5 superior runes and the right skills..look around at other guild wars forum for videos and the right attributes/skills.

Yeah guess its pretty popular now, the monk solo Underworld farming build relying on Protective Bond. Checked the monk superior rune prices lately? They're getting nearly as expensive as a Sigil

Just started PvPing though, best run I had so far was 10 straight wins in Random Arena with a team of 3 monks (me included) and one warrior. Long drawn out fights, each of them... they couldn't kill us but we lacked firepower as well :) Guess some of them left due to fustration, but oh well, a win's a win

    • Microsoft admits one of the most crucial Outlook features is currently broken by Sayan Sen Microsoft is making some decent progress when it comes to Windows 11. Recently we have confirmed reports of some rather useful improvements landing in the next version of the OS, 26H2, wherein GPU driver TDR crashes may finally be fixed, plus the company is also allowing users to disable web content on the Search. On the Outlook front though things have not been so rosy. Last month in May we reported several problems affecting basic functionalities on the app. These included a problem where documents would open blank or corrupt themselves. Following that, Quick Steps, a very useful feature, would no longer work correctly, and finally, Microsoft acknowledged a problem wherein images would fail to load up properly inside the email. Microsoft had resolved those bugs later and almost exactly a month after we reported on them, the company has now admitted a new similarly basic issue, this time on Macs. Users recently started noticing that Outlook would no longer display email threads properly as the original message itself was not displayed. An affected user Tsoumpas, C (ngmb) nicely described the problem in a forum post they made on Microsoft's site. They wrote: "Description of the issue: After updating Outlook for Mac [Version 16.110 (26061317)] on 18/6/2026, replying to any email no longer includes the original message in the reply window. Prior to the update, replies correctly contained the original email text below my response. Expected behavior: The original message should be included in the reply, as in previous Outlook versions and according to the configured reply settings. Actual behavior: The reply window contains only a blank composition area (or only my response), with none of the original email text included." Obviously this must be a highly frustrating for users as noted by several in that thread. The post, at the time of writing, has also been upvoted by more than 40 users indicating that is a fairly widespread bug. Thankfully Microsoft seems to have acknowledged the problem right around that time as it opened a new issue on its official website. In the support article, the company recommends switching to Outlook for Mac from the legacy app, where the problem appears to be happening.
