This happens at every nintendo console launch... Sometimes its fun, sometimes its annoying. Either case, it seems nintendo fanboys lose 80% of their IQ during this season.

Seriously, but Aries predictions have come through (most of it). There could be something to it. It's easy to belive it, but many takes it to far. It would be great if Nintendo have tricked us all.

Either way, they have to get a great Mario game on their release debut. Don't let it happen again with Cube where a Mario wasn't seen for a year or so. And a great Mario game have to be something spectacular like a SMW or SM3 in 3D. It has to have a Dark world with Bowser & his 7 kids. Unlike Sunshine where even a few characters looked stupid. I admit I've never played Sunshine, cuz I was turned away from the cheezy theme of it. Let's hope they get the next Mario game right.

lol just found this http://www.iloveflees.com/

EDIT: looks like some fanboy something or other, but it made me laugh.

Aries lost me when he said the controller would get "hot. Very hot." when walking through toxic gas.

Look at the date of this post, this was even before GDC Revolution information and all my predictions came true, with the exception of the unrevealed controller.

Does that make me an insider of the gaming industry? Or just a damn good guesser?

Actually Nexus is a great name for the console. Like a virtual hub for everything. Remember that Iwata said, Flash onboard memory, internet and games =? Make your games? Edit your on games? Downloadable levels?

We already know you can download old nintendo games.

I like it, Nintendo Nexus. Sounds right. I know there was a fake concept art before with the Nexus title.

Ok, here's a good roundup of Aries predictions and more.. Many interesting points here..

Yes, it's a long read, but it's worth your time. check it out.

As the last words were spoken today at the Nintendo Press Conference, only one question was left in our mind…. So where’s the ‘Revolution’? Sure, the actual console was shown in physical form and some minor details were released, but was there anything truly revolutionary about what was shared. In the opinion of many conference attendees, the idea of being able to download 20 years of Nintendo content sounded utterly amazing. However, this new feature in no way creates the paradigm shift in gameplay that Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, had claimed there would be upon the introduction of the Revolution.

So what does this mean and how does it relate to this article? Well, as it now stands, there have been multiple rumors and speculations about what it is that makes the revolution so revolutionary. In this feature article, some of these topics are going to be discussed and dissected. Why you ask?... There has to be a reason why Nintendo hasn’t blown the cover on their Revolution and we at NintendoNow are here to uncover that; Nintendo isn’t going to simply watch as Sony and Microsoft spill the beans - there has to be something more!

While much of what is going to be discussed from here on out is complete speculation (so don’t take it as fact), some of it is just completely unexplainable! So let’s get down to business…

______________________________

About two weeks ago, a blog appeared on brokensaints.com that was meant to be a speculative posting about what Brooke Burgess, an industry insider, felt would be included in the Nintendo Revolution. Our forums began discussing this blog and many were convinced that what he said was true. It wasn’t until a few days later when a person on the blog going by the name of Aries, a man claiming to be a former Nintendo Employee, began posting everything he knew. At this point, the blog exploded with excited Nintendo fans hoping and dreaming that all of what Aires said would become fact. If you’d like to read these postings for yourself, head to our forums

So that’s all good and dandy, right? Some guy claims to be a former Nintendo Employee and everyone believes him...but doesn’t it seem odd that his credibility went undisputed? Well, it actually was. In fact, Matt Casamassina of cube.ign.com had a lot to say about why he felt Aries was completely bogus. He claimed that nobody but people as high up in the Nintendo company rank as Reggie himself could have access to information such as what Aries provided. Nonetheless, GameSpot had a quite different take on what was said. In their conclusion to one of their rumor related assessments, it was said that only E3 could let us know for sure; they weren’t even able to disprove anything that Aries said. The more interesting part about GameSpot’s article, however, is that it linked to our forums here at NintendoNow (link shown above). Many people were going to the actual Broken Saints blog to see Aries’ prophecies, but somehow, NintendoNow truly put it on the map and GameSpot noticed this.

Do I smell a Nintendo/IGN conspiracy? IGN/GameSpy did just become Nintendo’s online provider just days ago. Could this mean Matt was doing a little cover-up, or just playing along in an elaborate scheme of elusive Nintendo advertising?

And here’s where it gets interesting!

The following are excerpts from actual Aries posts:

“Another thing I forgot to mention was on the backward compatibility;

apparently the Nintendo’s new console will be able to play the games

from past consoles such as GC, N64, SNES, and yes NES. I believe this

feature shall intrigue many people out there and could possibly lead to

what I call “New Classics” so look forward to that. For now I have to

seriously catch some shut eye E3 will be here soon enough.” -Aries

Is this not EXACTLY what was talked about today in Nintendo’s Press Conference? How could some random individual know about Nintendo’s 20 year content plan for backwards compatibility 2 weeks prior to the actual Nintendo Conference?

This wasn’t the only piece of information Aries stated would happen and actually did. For one, he got the wireless controllers, Super Smash Revolution Online, and more. He even mentioned Square-Enix and their strong liking of what Nintendo had in store for us in the near future, and a little over a week later, a quote from Youichi Wada, president of Square-Enix said this: (The original article can be found here)

“It gives the image of taking the real world seamlessly into the virtual world," he said. "the means of building a community will be completely different, and support and services will also change." -Wada

"What increased our interest further, is that the next step is already being prepared for Revolution. [Nintendo's networking plan is] not just a portable, not just a console -- it's exactly what we wanted in that it's the birth of a completely new platform." -Wada

"From here on, we'll have to challenge ourselves with content in response to what Nintendo offers. We would like to give strong support." –Wada

Again, an Aries Prediction came true…but here is what is most intriguing:

“I’m not going to give out the secret. It’s going to be very fun; wait

until E3. Nintendo is going to roll out a trojan horse: something that

looks innocent and weak and them bam, it will be unveiled. Just don’t

make up your mind on the first day of E3.

My credibility will be proven on May 19th. I have already given you a

hint about what will happen in the next few weeks. Pay close attention

to some of the Nintendo related stories that will begin to pop up. So

far, many have already been reported. Pay attention. And on the 19th,

don’t automatically try to write me off. There is a big suprise in

store for everyone. I’ve said that 100 times, but I can’t stress it

enough.” -Aries

What does this mean? If you believe that Aries is telling the truth, then it means we’ve got much more to be excited about coming up on the 19th.

Not satisfied yet, NintendoNow did a little more searching and one of our Execs here at E-mpire created a thread about his conspiracy theories. He had this to say:

“I mean, not to get too much hopes up or anything, but just about EVERYTHING the real Aries was claiming, has come true up to this point. Ok, there were some things that didn’t fit in exactly, but hey…don’t forget he only worked for Nintendo till 2004 (IF in fact he did). Even the disappointment right now was predicted by him. He also mentioned the prank Nintendo would pull on us this E3 and that we’d all get punk’d just like in the movie “The Game”.

But that’s not all of it. Right before the press conference, there were four short clips on the Nintendo.com website which would be activated when trying to click on something. It showed some people in discussion on how they would fill in their E3 showing. So they got to talk about the press conference on tuesday and some party on wednesday, and then they still got something planned for thursday and friday which they wouldn’t elaborate about, saying we “have to wait”. One of the clips also showed Reggie saying: “don’t make me do it! I’ll take your name.” and the last one showing a frowning WT F?!-like face.” –Mach (E-mpire Exec)

To view this thread, click here.

So wait. Now Nintendo themselves are doing some crazy stuff? It would seem so, apparently.

Nintendo has said themselves many times now that they would be showcasing something about Mario 128. Have they yet?... NO!

And now, a short clip is posted on the main Nintendo website claiming there to be something more to come on Thursday and Friday (19th anyone), but it’s suddenly taken down? Seems fishy if you ask me.

There’s even more, though! Look on the Nintendo main website and on the front page you will see an image with a sign including, in bold letters, “Nintendo Now”. The image doesn’t link to anything (as they wouldn’t technically be able to link to us) and has no explanation. This makes us here at NintendoNow quite intrigued and puzzled to be honest. Is Nintendo trying to pull an advertisement campaign akin to recent viral campaigns? Are they trying to direct their readers to our forums because of our putting the Aries issue on the map?

______________________________

While the Aries and Nintendo main site rumors are interesting, everyone is talking about the latest Revolution Mock-Up Video. (What's funny is that IGN was the only main site to host it... coincidence?) If you have yet to see this masterpiece, below is a link to the video:

Mock-Up Video From IGN

Initially, many people were astounded by the professionalism that went in to creating such an amazing video; the huge Mario Castle created out of thousands of tiny Mario castles alone was a technical feat only a skilled professional could pull off. Eventually, however, it was brushed off as a fake and merely a cool watch for Nintendo fans to hopelessly ponder. But is there more to the video than most people think?

Just this last week, Nintendo of America's vice president of corporate affairs, Perrin Kaplan released a few details before the actual E3 conference stating that the console would be “very, very sleek.” While this may be a coincidence, does it not seem odd that in this Mock-Up video appears the words “the most sleek”?

Today at the Nintendo Press Conference was something even more astonishing. Reggie Fils-Aime mentioned multiple times that we all need to think with our “Right Brain”. A comment such as this isn’t very common, but for some reason also appears in the video as the name of the headset: “The Brain”.

Does this mean that the video may be a part of a possible elaborate marketing plan? Who knows…we’ll just have to wait!

______________________________

While I must reiterate the fact that all of the previous comments are based on speculation, one can only wonder how all of these tidbits of information seem to come together quite comprehensively. Only time will tell the truth, but be rest assured that NintendoNow will be sticking around the Nintendo booth quite religiously come this Thursday.

Here is some more from the site:

Earlier today we posted our Damage Control rumor article, which took a deep look at the pre-E3 rumblings produced by the enigmatic forum character Aries. Many of his prophecies concerning Nintendo's next-generation system came to fruition, and this sparked the interest of the staff here at Nintendo Now.

Now, the investigative reporters here at NNOW have stumbled onto something else. While earlier we proposed that the Revolution could indeed be playable at E3 this year, we've sniffed out and dug up further evidence that corroborates this assumption. Check out the exerpt below, taken from the end of a Nintendo Power E3 column posted on Nintendo's own website:

"Word has it a secret alcove can be found deeper within the creature which houses the precious Nintendo Revolution. But gaining access to the Shangri-la of tomorrow’s video game generation is to remain an electronic dream." (source)

The above quote refers to a purported secret area deep within the official Nintendo E3 booth. Is this just a joke issued by the Nintendo Power staff, or is it an outright confirmation that Revolution will be playable come...well, perhaps the 19th, which was the date of a special Nintendo event/unveiling originally prophesized by Aries?

Perhaps most intriguing of all: Why is the domain www.nintendoon.com registered, when "Nintendo On" was supposedly just the name of a disingenious mock-up of Nintendo's new system, featured in an "entirely fake" video released days before E3?

Why does the domain redirect visitors to IGN's article on the Nintendo On video?

And why is the domain registered to a Reginald F.??

Keep in mind that all this is in no way confirmed news, and is still but speculation. Is this all someone's idea of a joke? Stay with NNOW for more.

-}x0{- reveals next generation Samus game.

Iwata says:

-attachable Small movie and !OTHER DVD CONTENT! player

-wireless technology on controllers. Controllers VERY unique and will be shared LATER (date

unspecified!)

-The game EXPERIENCE will most seperate Rev from any other system.

-In new Metroid, Samus will TAKE YOU places you NEVER seen before

-THE KEY: not what you'll be playing, but HOW you'll be playing

-Just like the game elektroplankton on DS, the REV will spawn many new ideas and establish

many new genres/ types of games

I say:

If you combine the idea of one of Nintendo's patents (capturing an image from a digital camera and automatically putting it in the game as a model) and combine it with that information and the picture below, I am thinking the new Metroid game will be Samus training YOU as a sidekick. Since the controllers will be SO immersive it will feel like shes actually taking YOU to different worlds.

The ghost head represents the head that will be replaced with your image.

I really think Nintendo is gonna make the games incorporate the USER as a character in the story rather than controlling a random main character.

Also I believe the CD drives in the "Brain" in the Nintendo ON system is only symbolic. Look how the visor rests on the brain. There is a left side, and a right side. This symbolizes the human head. There are even humps for the visor to rest on (ears).

    • Well I really think the repasting helped if your higher clocks have returned, maybe the next thing to look at is if there is a problem with your case airflow? I guess this because your 3080 has returned to optimal state, but is still staying too warm, which might suggest it was thermal throttling before you repasted, of which the only logical conclusion could be outside factors.
    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Z Fold Wide: Everything you need to know by Hamid Ganji Galaxy Z Fold 7 - Image via Samsung The next generation of Samsung foldables is set to be unveiled next month at the second Unpacked event of the year. Samsung’s 2026 foldables are not expected to offer significant upgrades over their predecessors, with the Korean firm instead focusing on design refinements and conventional upgrades such as faster processors and better cameras. However, Samsung is reportedly planning to unveil an all-new passport-style foldable this year to rival Apple’s first foldable iPhone, which is expected to debut this September. Here’s a roundup of everything we know about Samsung’s upcoming foldable devices ahead of their official debut. When can we expect Samsung’s new foldables? The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 series were unveiled in July, and Samsung is expected to maintain this timeframe in 2026. Based on previous reports from Korean sources, Samsung will hold its Unpacked event on July 22 in London, UK, to pull back the curtain on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series. The devices are also expected to hit the shelves a few weeks after launch. However, Samsung has yet to announce an official date. A new naming scheme? One of the most interesting changes we might see this year is a new naming scheme for Samsung’s latest foldables. SamMobile reported that since Samsung is expected to unveil three foldables this year, it has adopted a new naming strategy to simplify product identification for customers. Accordingly, the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 will reportedly be called the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and will serve as the direct successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7. The “Ultra” suffix suggests the phone could feature higher-end specifications, such as additional rear camera modules. Samsung’s new passport-style foldable is expected to carry the Galaxy Z Fold 8 name without any suffix. This model is reportedly equipped with two rear cameras. No major changes are expected for the Flip model. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 anticipated specs Rumors over the past few months suggest Samsung is preparing several upgrades for its upcoming foldables, although the devices may continue to rely on larger batteries and faster charging speeds rather than dramatic design changes. The primary focus this year is expected to be the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and its wide-screen design. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra official CAD renders - Image via AndroidHeadlines Here are the anticipated specifications for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra based on previous leaks: 6.5-inch outer display and 8-inch inner display, 120Hz refresh rate, and 2,600 nits peak brightness Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage 4.1mm thickness when unfolded and a weight of 210g 200MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, 10MP or 12MP telephoto camera, 10MP cover camera, and 10MP selfie camera 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging Android 17 and One UI 9 As for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, the device is not expected to be a major departure from its predecessor, although it could become slightly slimmer. Expected specifications include: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600 processor 12GB of RAM with 256GB and 512GB storage options 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner dispaly and 4.1-inch Super AMOLED outer dispaly 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide camera, and 10MP selfie camera 4,300mAh battery with 25W wired charging Android 17 and One UI 9 Samsung’s foldables are also expected to launch with Gemini Intelligence, Google’s AI suite for automating tasks in Android ecosystem. Moreover, given current memory and component costs, some Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 variants could see a price hike. Galaxy Z Fold 8 adopts a wide-screen design The centerpiece of the upcoming Unpacked event could be the Galaxy Z Fold 8, previously rumored as the Galaxy Z Fold Wide. This model adopts a passport-style form factor and is expected to compete directly with Apple’s iPhone Fold. Galaxy Z Fold 8 official CAD renders - Image via AndroidHeadlines Here’s what to expect: 7.6-inch primary OLED display and 5.4-inch cover display, 120Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits peak brightness, and 4:3 aspect ratio Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage options 4,800mAh battery with 45W wired charging 50MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, and 10MP selfie camera Android 17 and One UI 9 The three new foldable phones are unlikely to be the only devices unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event. The company is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and the Galaxy Watch 9 series.

    • 7 Days: Killing uBlock Origin bypasses, Euro Office faces fire, and will AI replace you? by Aditya Tiwari 7 Days is a weekly roundup of picks of what's been happening in the world of technology - written with a dash of humor, a hint of exasperation, and an endless supply of (black) coffee. This week's highlights include WWDC 2026 announcements, updates on child safety, and Meta's use of data from outside businesses to optimize your feed. Let's get started. You can check out the recent issues of the 7 Days weekly roundup. Killing uBlock Origin bypasses The hottest news of the week was about Google Chrome effectively ending most uBlock Origin workarounds (a free, open-source ad blocker extension) by permanently dropping MV2 extensions and their bypasses. Chrome is transitioning towards newer MV3 extensions. A recent discussion thread highlighted how the latest and upcoming versions of the most popular browser are expected to be its final releases with support for MV2 extensions. Genuinely European? Euro-Office faces fire The recently launched cloud-based office suite, Euro-Office, is facing criticism at home. The LibreOffice developer wrote an open letter criticizing Euro-Office for its marketing claim that it's the "first open-source office suite developed in Europe," since the honor has belonged to OpenOffice since 2001. The Document Foundation has called out Euro-Office, arguing that it can't consider "itself genuinely European" as long as it keeps pushing Microsoft defaults on users, adding that "it has to speak ODF as its mother tongue." Will AI replace you? Image: Tara Winstead via Pexels Microsoft's AI boss, Mustafa Suleyman, said in an interview earlier this year that AI would replace office workers within 12 to 18 months. Joining the ranks of top executives who have softened their stance on AI replacing humans, Suleyman recently walked back his earlier remarks and now says that AI will automate tasks, not replace entire white-collar jobs. He defended his earlier comments by arguing that they referred only to individual actions people perform at their desks. Louis Rossmann wants to sue Samsung Image: Louis Rossmann Tech repair entrepreneur and right-to-repair activist Louis Rossmann contacted Samsung support over a failed 4TB Samsung 990 Pro NVMe SSD. After back-and-forth communication, Samsung offered a $330 refund instead of a replacement, but Rossmann found that the SSD was readily available for new buyers at a higher price. He has issued a formal 60-day notice and intends to file a suit in Texas small claims court, as Samsung's actions reflect a failure to honor its warranty obligations. Samsung reached out to Neowin to clarify its updated stance that customers in such situations will receive a refund equal to the product's current market price. Child safety or mass surveillance? Image: Jonathan Borba via Pexels Signal accused the UK government of using child safety and device-level explicit content ban as a cover for mass surveillance. Calling the plan "dystopian," Signal warned that it violates everyone's fundamental right to privacy. The messaging platform believes that the government should keep children "safe" and "protected," but it should do so through social services and education. Fears of social media regulation Image via DepositPhotos.com More governments across the globe are tightening their grip on social media and bringing stricter regulations in the name of child safety. Bluesky COO, Rose Wang, warned that social media regulations could destroy competition from small startups and that heavy regulatory compliance costs favor deep-pocketed tech giants while locking out new entrants. Our Features Image: Pexels Our coffee-powered team publishes a platter of editorials, opinion posts, and guides. Here's what they got for the week: UK **** blockers are a looming privacy disaster, we must be able to see the source code This week in software news Image: Proton Catch up on some of the latest software news updates that arrived throughout the week: Dark clouds over PC makers: Building on our report from last month, Dell officially acknowledged that its own remediation software was causing BSOD issues and unexpected system restarts. HP is also facing equally frustrating issues involving recent Windows Secure Boot updates on Windows 11. Controversial icon: Spotify finally removed the disco ball icon from its app and replaced it with the familiar flat green logo after weeks of mixed reactions online. While some people don't like the new design, the retro, three-dimensional look has generated a following of its own. Even other brands are coming up with their versions of the disco logo. NVIDIA fixes stuff: A new hotfix driver 610.52 fixes various issues related to monitors and displays, noting that G-SYNC-related frame pacing troubles should now be resolved on Ada Lovelace GPUs. The feedback thread also points out that the hotfix patches a BSOD issue. FIFA World Cup tracker: Opera is redesigning its Android browser with a built-in football tracker for the upcoming World Cup in the US. The new homepage is now "more immersive" with easier access to common browser features. Command line for Proton: The Swiss technology company has launched a command line version of the Proton Drive, which you can use to manage your encrypted files directly from a terminal across all major platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux. This week in hardware news Image: Thermaltake Catch up on some of the latest software news updates that arrived throughout the week: Intel and AMD PCs in one case: Thermaltake's CAPO X dual-system chassis brings you the best of both worlds by supporting two microATX (mATX) motherboards and up to two 360 mm AIO liquid coolers. If you want ideas, maybe you can use one as your main PC and another as an AI agent. Google Tensor production: While TSMC will remain the lead producer, the search giant is reportedly in talks with Samsung to hand over part of the production of its next-generation Tensor AI chips. The upcoming TPUs are reportedly codenamed “Icefish” and will be produced using Samsung's 2-nanometer process technology. Lethal fake phone chargers: UK-based consumer rights organization Which? has warned that "potentially lethal knock-off chargers" are still being sold on online marketplaces, including Amazon and eBay, despite the dangers of such chargers having been exposed. This week in Google News Image: Google Catch up on some of the latest Google news updates that arrived throughout the week: Sliding into DMs: You might remember that YouTube had a direct messaging feature back in the day. It's now rolling out a revamped direct messaging inbox that lets you share Shorts, videos, and live streams and have conversations about them. New in NotebookLM: The AI-powered note-taking app got some new agentic capabilities and more advanced reasoning, thanks to support for Gemini 3.5 and Antigravity. NotebookLM can now generate outputs in more formats, making it easier to start new projects with less information. This week in Apple News Image: Apple Catch up on some of the latest Apple news updates that arrived throughout the week: WWDC 2026: This week was all about Apple's annual developer conference, where the iPhone-maker finally unveiled an upgraded Siri AI and a platter of new Apple Intelligence features. Siri AI now has a cross-platform app, which is supported on select models of iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Vision Pro. What's different about WWDC: I wrote a detailed feature this week discussing how Apple changed the WWDC keynote this year, blurring the lines between its operating systems. Apple didn't have dedicated segments for its operating systems this year and didn't even publish the official press releases. Liquid Glass slider (finally): It's that time of the year when Apple previews fresh updates for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, and other platforms. A new transparency slider for Liquid Glass is coming to iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 Golden Gate. Is your device supported?: If you're wondering whether your Apple device supports the new developer beta builds, you can check the respective compatibility lists for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and watchOS 27. Siri AI not coming to Europe: Yes, that's true due to complications related to the Digital Markets Act (DMA). While Apple penned a blog post to tell its side of the story, a European Commission spokesperson told Neowin that the DMA does not prohibit Apple from launching its services in the EU; the company is simply required to comply with the law. New child safety features: Apple announced a trove of new safety features for kids, including a simpler setup experience for parents, Ask to Browse, Time Allowances, and a redesigned Screen Time UI. Parents can now visit a new website to find answers to common questions around child safety features. More cloud power: Apple's Private Cloud Compute cloud infrastructure will now run beyond its own data centers for the first time. It's working with Google and NVIDIA to run new Apple Intelligence workloads on Google Cloud systems powered by NVIDIA GPUs. This week in Meta news Catch up on the latest Meta news updates that arrived throughout the week: Data from outside: Meta is rolling out a new update globally to personalize your AI responses and primary feeds using data from outside businesses. It already targets ads based on shopping activity, but the latest development enables it to personalize other "parts of your experience." There is a toggle in the Settings to disable activity from other businesses; however, it won't prevent companies from sending your data to Meta. Level playing field: The European Commission has ordered the social media giant to restore access to WhatsApp for third-party AI chatbots, including ChatGPT and Copilot. Meta previously blocked rival AI chatbots from operating on WhatsApp, prompting the Commission to launch an antitrust investigation. Spying on users: On the flip side, WhatsApp accused the Israeli cyber-intelligence firm, NSO Group, of deploying a fresh wave of targeted "spear phishing" attacks against its users, which were thwarted by WhatsApp's security teams. Reorder profile grid: Adding some customization for the profile grid feature, Instagram now lets you rearrange posts in your profile without deleting and reuploading content. Go to your profile and long-press any thumbnail to find the "Reorder grid" option. This week in AI news Catch up on the latest artificial intelligence news updates that arrived throughout the week: Claude RAM hogger: Windows users are getting infuriated by Claude Desktop's hidden 1.8GB Hyper-V VM bug, which spins up if you use Claude Cowork or agent mode even once. It shows a Vmmem process in Task Manager, indicating 0% CPU usage but 1.8GB of RAM usage. Claude Fable 5: The new state-of-the-art AI model from Anthropic beats OpenAI's ChatGPT-5.5 in multiple AI benchmarks. Claude Fable 5 sits above the Opus models and outperforms most other generally available models across knowledge work, vision, scientific research, and more. However, the model was abruptly suspended after receiving an export control directive from the US government. Stack Overflow for AI agents: The popular Q&A platform has launched Stack Overflow for Agents in beta, which AI agents can use to share, find, and reuse coding knowledge. It explained that AI agents operate in isolation, creating an Ephemeral Intelligence Gap, and valuable tokens are wasted on something another agent has already solved.
