[Definitive] Nintendo Wii Thread

Recommended Posts

?ve been ragged by more than a few of you for not posting more Rev news the past week, and I completely understand your fanboy positions. That said, when I got a burble out of NOA HQ before the weekend that they would announce its modest power in USA Today (2-3 times more powerful than Gamecube???), did you really want me to tell you? When I got wind that they would NOT announce a price point or specific release window, did you really want to know? And when I got an adamant whisper that they would NOT showcase the controllers or special tech, did you really want to be disappointed with the news BEFORE their press conference this morning? As I?ve said before?Nintendo will wait until NEXT year to make its last big splash in the console market. Until then? Play Zelda. If it comes out on time. Or buy a 360. If you can afford it. In the end, does it really matter in the scope of all things great and small?

A few years ago, I might?ve felt incredibly disappointed - disillusioned - maybe even ?shaken? by the lack of news, and the prospects of having Sony or Microsoft shepherd the future of gaming, and watching Nintendo limp slowly into that good console night - Yamauchi pulling Scrooge McDuck dives in his big vault in Kyoto. But in the end? Nintendo will keep making games, folks. Whether the discussions go back on the table between N and M regarding co-development - or whether they pull a Sega and go 3rd party by 2010 - the nature of gaming will remain what it is at its core. Simulation. Exploration. Goal-setting. Distraction. Entertainment. Tribe-building. Virtual destruction.

thats only one peice to the puzzle gone missing, he has only told us things that have been proven in the publicity stunt (conference on the 17th) nintendo pulled and in the ON video. Which to me, I believe, is a video showing what they had planned for the top heads of nintendo before it actually went into production.

I think it has to do with the games being unique to the user in that they can somehow control the game through the senses,

The controller I think will pick up impulses somehow in the body, like those exercise machines measure heart rate... and the game reacts depending on your response, giving a different experience each time... that?s my go at i:laugh:h:

this "right brain" thing is key...

All these outrageous rumors actually do not make nintendo look better, rather make nintendo fans dissapointed cause they have been constantly fed these over the expectation fantasies that are far from the truth.

STOP IT.

Yea, you're right. I think I'll just stop posting specilations and wait until tomorrow :)

Stop bringing up Nintendo On, please. It wasn't real. It's made by a Spaniard that's done Nintendo videos before.

He has never been connected with Nintendo other than being a fan, and will probably never be connected with them in any other way.

Don't stop this is fun.

Even if all of this turns out to be a very huge hoax we still had fun doing it.

But I have checked some things out and some of this is getting really interesting, I mean how can ALL of that be a just a hoax? You have photos of the DS at their conference with the date set as 05/19/05, you have a man named Aries right ON EVERY single one of his prediction and you can spell the name Aries using the name Reggie Fils-Aime by just switching some letters around.

You have him saying at the press conference "Puzzle" and "Rightbrain", and you have the whole of Nintendo being very low key on the Revolution. You have a website that is Registered to a man named Reginald F. his name IS REGINALD F. for gods sake.

KEep it up guys, and damn this thread is getting red hot just TWO days and were closing in on the Sony thread.

And as I said we're having fun, at least the speculators are, and Nintendo intends people to have fun right?

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
