well say you took a picture, it would have to be "shrunk to fit the screen" a bit more so when on-screen it wont seem as detailed, but if you set the picture to 100% zoom it will be normal, and if put onto the pc or printed it will be normal.

basically put your pc monitor into 640x480 mode and notice how different it is, thats an extreme.

if you want to use it as an mp3 player more than a phone, get the w800i.

if you want the mp3 player but also want the other features equally then get the k750i.

the main real differences i can see is that its geared more towards music lovers, thus the walkman branding and the 512mb card rather than the 64.

hey Dazzla, I have some questions:

How many megabytes (or kilobytes) does one photo you take with the phone on the very highest settings/quality/resolution take up?

Roughly how many can you fit on a 64mb card?

If I am preparing some images on my computer to be used as wallpaper on my K750i, what are the exact pixel dimensions that I need to make my pics?

thanks a million,

G-

BTW: forgot to say in my previous replies:

your review rocks and swayed me into getting this phone over a far cheaper nokia :)

also i hate you and all your jelousy-inducing-gadgets :) :p

I was out today and had a bit of a mess with my new k750i,

here are some pics resized from thw 1620x1200 or whatever it is.

here is a resized panoramic image i made with the phones built in panorama feature:

i will go out tomorrow and take some proper pics of like the nearby river then post them here in full-size and uncompressed, dazzla's example was a bit blurry compared to some of the pics i have been taking, but then again his was super long range.

dont like to hijack threads but if anyone can help me with a huge O2 contract problem, head over to the phones and mobile devices forum, i think i am being charged 75 quid for no reason.

(its kind of related to this thread, so thats why i am plugging here:P )

    • It is when it's a desktop in my house though for a PC that's lightly used and not really important when it is. If it was a laptop, it would be a different story. The real solution is varied and begins starting at post #22 in that thread.
