If you havn't unplugged it already, Just be sure to charge it for 24hrs the first time and don't charge it until the battery is COMPLETELY dead for the first 2-4 charges(Longer battery time) - so I've read.

PS: http://jelly.joshbarber.co.uk/k750i.php

Although I havn't asked Dazzla via pm or anything(i forgot) this will be my asking now.

Dazzla: If you want me to remove the pictures tell me so and I'll take some of my own

EDIT:

funkystars, You're receiving slow transfer speeds beacuse you're trasfering it to the MOBILE PHONE not the actual card. I've got USB 1.1 so yours will probably be even faster if its to the card. Heres how to transfer it to the card:

1) connect the phone and usb

2) make sure the card is connected to the phone

3) once its connected goto My Computer and select removeable disk(mine shows as F:)

4) find the folder 'MSSEMC' open it up, then 'Media files' then go into 'audio' now, when I got my phone there was 2 folders 'ringtones' and 'videodj'. I made a folder for my MP3 called 'MP3'.

5) find your MP3/ALBUM you want to transfer, and copy it to your clipboard. Then in the 'MP3' folder you made paste it.

6) It should take like 10seconds max(per song).

IMPORTANT: DISCONNECT THE USB LEAD - Otherwise when u goto Media Album the MP3 folder wont show up. NO media transfered will show up on the phone while the USB lead is still connected.

Playing the MP3:

Goto Media album>Sounds>MP3>Play.

:) Enjoy.

Wow, I don't know how I missed this thread... the phone looks great and is definitely top of my wishlist, though I doubt I will ever get as I barely use my mobile. Great pictures and great writeup, as usual.

from the link you gave:

Don't Drain The Battery

With Lithium batteries there is no advantage to draining the battery. The battery will infact last longer with partial rather than full discharges. There is no battery memory effect with a lithium battery - you can charge the battery whenever you like without fear of reducing its charge capacity, and you do not need to drain a lithium battery completely before recharging it. Find out more about Lithium batteries here: http://www.batteryuniversity.com

Heh, just got my w800i the other day, fantastic phone! to me the K750i comes no were near the W800i, its in a completely different league to the W800i, W800i all the way!!

Aren't the K750i and the W800i nearly identical? The main difference I can see is that the W800i ships with a 512MB DUO card... and there's probably a few software differences.

Yup, thats right... they use pretty much identical hardware considering you can flash a k750i with the w800i firwmare.

The only thing the w800i can do is act as a walkman without any of the phone capabilities. I *think* is called something like flight mode... cant remember...

It's identical hardware, different firmware

I'm actually looking to flash mine with the W800 firmware, simply  because the media application is so superior. God knows how to do it though, I'll have to look into it.

I just wish they hurry up in releasing the w800i worldwide so prices for the k750i go down and buy one :)

true say. i like the look of the w800i, but the price draws me towards the k750i.

plus, as mentioned, the k750i can be "made into" a w800i.

Dazzla you can go into a local phone accessory shop and they will do it for you!

my nearest one offers to do it at ?25 a pop!

would love someone to layout the benefits of it so that i can decide whether it is worth doing ta!

586430763

I'll be damned if I know anyone in Swindon who can do it:ss but yeah, I'd wanna see some of the benefits. As far as I can gather it's the media app and flight mode, dunno about anything else.

I installed opera mini on my k750i. Surfing the internet using this program over t-mobile gprs is pretty amazing.

586431792

yea i got opera mini installed on my 6230, its absolutely amazing i didnt think my 6230 would be able to do what it can with opera mini. Upgrading to the w80i next week as the end of my 12 month contract, will def be getting opera mini on it aswell!

You can get it by doing a search for opera mini download on google, as its not meant for people on uk, usa etc yet :ninja:

haha. that's the cool part about importing these phones. Here, the w800 was just released yesterday, so, the k750 would be pretty much 'new' here too. whilst being 'rare'.

meh. it'll just be a nice upgrade from my motorola E398. i upgraded the firmware to the "i398", so i could use iTunes...but it turns out, that it's still not that much fun. plus there's a bunch of other gripes i have with it.

PS: Nice job getting that Apple reference to a non-existent and unrevealed product as "competition" in there. Cheque is in the mail.
