I can tell you Mr. Raa that Edguy, Grave Digger, Evergrey, Moonsorrow, Twilightning, Within Temptation, Sentenced, Pagan's Mind (!!!), Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, Stormwarrior (!!!), and Norther are all great bands.

More are either power, speed, or prog metal. Norther is very much like Bodom, but some of ther stuff I find to be much better.

Pagan's Mind :punk:

I just found those guys recently. A nice happy accident. Osiris' Eyes is awesome.

My sisters boyfriend sings in a metal band and everytime they come from the studio I have to ask how is the new album, he plays it and it sounds like nonsence to me ;). Apparently they have become kinda known in the underground scene. Do you hear anything in that music? To me every song is the same and I can't ever hear what they are singing about. Link to their website with tracks.

mmn, you don't know finntroll... i suppose i can't upload a song of theirs, try and find some. anyone know how long till gates of metal decides what bands are going to be playing this year? i want to go, would like to know who i'll see, all line ups so far been excellent

Edit: I only know the bands in bold... should go on a cd buying spree, wait... student overdraft to pay off first :(

:o Thats like a bloody dream festival right there!

^ Yes. Yes it is. And I will go, even if I have to increase the size of my overdraft and kill little Mary.

About Mortyrfear - the songs on "let the fist do the talking" all sound very ah, samey.

Ah, these next two albums down the list, demo 4 and 3, are better - though I haven't listened to whole songs.

Still, I like them - would see them if they played in Brighton (though thats unlikely if they're in Finland), how well known are they? They likely to get into any festivals?

anybody heard a nightrage the new boys from gotenburg(sp?) if you like melodic death give them a look up "Phantasma" very very good song by them :D

New? They already have two studio albums under their belt. :D

With the departure of Lindberg I don't see them going anywhere. He was the one guy that really brought them attention and notoriety. Sweet Vengeance is easily one of my favorite melo-death albums of all time, but Descent Into Chaos was disappointing by comparison. Tom Englund's clean vocals really gave SV a bit of style as well.

Get the review of Kataklysm's latest up, it's pretty good. :D

It's not a bad album by all means, but compared to Serenity in Fire, I thought it was a bit of a step backwards for Kataklysm. Tell you who really impressed me though, Scars of Tomorrow - their new album really kicked my ass. Expect a review of both albums in the coming few days!

Have you guys heard of Apocalyptica? check out their album Apocalyptica - Apocalyptica for amazing instrumental stuff I especially love the song Betrayal Forgiveness on that album which I think is an amazing blend of classical and metal.

Of course, but I have to be in the mood for them.

Not their best by any means, but it's better than I had hoped.

    • Less powerful than a PS5 at twice the price! I wonder if they use that for marketing? Totally DoA.

    • How does it compare to the "SeeStar S30 Pro" and the "Vespera PRO 2"?
    • Indeed. And note that those units are MUCH cheaper than this new Steam Machine...ahem.
