... So come on, for the better of this community, leave it off the damn forums. I'm sick of it, and I hope there are more people like me that want it gone. Use a torrent forum if you want to talk about torrent-warez.

Without getting into an argument, how is this any different than the discussion we were having the other day?

I need to contact Microsoft about this seriously it makes NO sense, it's ridiculous that Not all Internet Explorer enthusiasts who are GOOD with computers CAN'T even get a FREE product tested.

It's Silly and Greedy they only let MSDN users get it legally.

i knew you would eventually bring this up...i was actually waiting for it...

the only thing i can say is this...IE is free and has always been free...i beta test a few of their products, i buy their products with my own money....i dont see anythign wrong with it...

dvd's have never been free....and i dont use torrents

Also,  Did Microsoft SAY if Non-beta testers finds this, that it's considered Illegal Download?

I wouldn't imagine that it's illegal, perhaps unsafe for Novice users.

I don't even understand how it can be considered Illegal, considering IE is ALWAYS been FREE.

It's like Star Wars Trailer Delimma, Lucasfilm wants to ban everyone who isn't a Hyperspace member to get a hold of their trailer! It's BS!!!

If non-beta testers find a bug and report it and are asked to identify how they got the beta, what do you think will they answer?

It's unsafe for everyone using their most powerful/important computer. If it crashes/screws up the system, then all they can hope is a System Restore and not installing any more betas. When betas are released, every company states that it should be installed cautiously. A beta is exactly that, a mostly finished product but not yet the final version. Once the bugs are removed, everyone can install and enjoy it.

I have seen every post in this thread and all I can say is this. MS has succeeded in doing exactly what it wanted: give people an alternative to move away from Firefox. that has been the main goal for MS and they are achieving it. Secondary features like CSS/PNG support and others are exactly that. Secondary. MS's main goal is to make sure that people use IE. The more the people wean away from FF, the better it is for MS. I have seen screenshots of IE and I know where to get it but I am waiting for all bugs to be removed and will officially wait for MS to say that all people can download this.

Just my $0.02.

i tried it what i really liked about ie previous version its the ability to move  everything from adress bar to customize icon i cant find a way to do that here.. anyways so far this its 1st beta its not impressive looks like a copy of firefox so far... (the interface)

Just curious but didnt netscape begin the browser wars back in 94, and then MS release IE in 95, so i'd have to say firefox is the one whos copying interfaces. for the most part the general interface for all of them has been the same. they all have pretty much the same layout and locations of buttons and address bars and that started over a decade ago, so to say IE7 is copying firefox is a little off isnt it

Can anyone tell me how do i get rid of it???

Go to Add/Remove Programs. Make sure that Show Updates is checked. Scroll under Windows XP - Software Updates. It will be listed as Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1

IE7 just views them as links, they open the feeds in a window that looks the same as a webpage.

but mine seems to be disabled all together :/

maybe im just stupid...

I am pretty damn good with computer softwares. I had tested many apps before! Microsoft ought to make it a fully public beta but with a huge RED Warning that it's not safe for people don't know what they are doing! That's how they should done it!

OK I need to get this off my chest. I love this site but here's my problem.

Why is it that this forum is home to soo many pricks???

Obviously he didn't know the Beta wasn't going to be public like MANY people thought it was going to be. I bet even you jerks thought it was going to be public til yesterday. But anyway.....it seems like the jerks here love making others feel stupid. I bet you jerks that didn't get invited to the beta managed to find a link to it anyway and are already using IE 7, along with Vista most likely. So why don't you jerks keep your little smartass comments to yourself and stop acting like computer gods who know all there is to know about computers. You sound like the Comic Book Guy on The Simpsons when you guys go into your rants

BTW...I know for a fact 1 jerk on this post who got the beta off a warez site already and they want to say they were invited to download it...what a

    • Fun fact: There are more Warhammer 40k games than there are stars in the universe.

    • Agreed. And this is a great discount offer! It's a shame that there's no discount offer option for people who would be fine subscribing for a year-long term, but pay monthly.
    • A Warhammer 40K racing game and a chess roguelike are free to claim on the Epic Games Store by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The Epic Games Store has returned to its standard giveaway procedures after weeks of mystery freebies. The latest drop is replacing last week's Rogue Waters and Songs of Conquest games and has brought in a double giveaway offering Warhammer 40K Speed Freeks and The Ouroboros King. As always, the game is yours to add permanently to your Epic Games Store library within the next seven days. From the duo, Warhammer 40K Speed Freeks lands from developer Caged Element, and it's a racing game that was only released last year. The title has you piloting Ork buggies, tanks, and aircraft modeled after the popular tabletop miniatures. The focus is on multiplayer mayhem, offering multiple game modes that have you fighting other players as everyone tries to survive and get across finish lines or destroy mechs. Crossplay support between PC and consoles has now arrived as part of a free update, too, giving a boost to matchmaking times for this multiplayer-focused title. If racing carnage isn't your thing, then The Ouroboros King offers tactics. The indie title is a mashup of chess and standard roguelike experience, letting players create their own armies to defeat an enemy faction, all on the familiar checkered board. There is a procedurally generated map, pieces with special abilities, relics that bend the game's rules to make overpowered builds, and more. The newly available Warhammer 40K Speed Freeks and The Ouroboros King giveaways on the Epic Games Store are set to run until June 11, giving PC gamers seven days to claim the latest offer. Once this closes out, a new freebie will take its place on the same day. Don't forget that mobile gamers can check out the Epic Game Store's weekly giveaways on Android and iOS to grab a freebie there as well.
