You might just need to refresh your icon cache (or however it's called)

You need the xp powertoys tweak ui, is an option in there

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloa...ppowertoys.mspx

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/michaelgadge/...ons-working.rar

Maybe this is ok.

But how to install these? Do i have to change each icon manually?

I have fixed the icons link, the patcher link worked fine, sry for that.

The patcher should work with any version of XP.

I have made the patcher work with every icon in the files so its very easy for me to update if I find anymore icons and everyone can update fine :)

no one is forcing you to use them, if you dont like them dont use them and dont post.

EZRecovery - You either havent replaced the correct icons or your icon cache isnt fully refreshed. I just replace the file then I boot into safe mode which refreshs the cache and then I boot into normal windows. Works brilliant and saves using programs to do it.

Yes after its considered finished, then an updated patcher would be nice. I was using Icontweaker, but its so limited as far as what it will allow you to change. Don't forget of course that if MS updates one of these files with a security update or when we go SP3, all these files will be useless. I wish they would just allow Icon/theme changing to be a native feature and not something you have to hack to get done :(

@Mike_Wilson - Haha, at work since we use Novell Client, it gave me an error with the lgnw32.dll file was corrupted. Thats easy to fix, I just have to download the latest Novell Client and fix it.

Besides that, the icons worked fine. Will keep an eye for more updates.

Thanks for your work and help (Y)

edit: Do not want to make Mike_Wilson upset cause I'm posting all these icons and themes from other places, not my intention, but since this is a Vista thread, I thought I could add more gifts to it. :D

LibreWolf is designed to increase protection against tracking and fingerprinting techniques, while also including a few security improvements. This is achieved through our privacy and security oriented settings and patches. LibreWolf also aims to remove all the telemetry, data collection and annoyances, as well as disabling anti-freedom features like DRM. LibreWolf features: Latest Firefox — LibreWolf is compiled directly from the latest build of Firefox Stable. You will have the the latest features, and security updates. RFP is considered the best in class anti-fingerprinting solution, and its goal is to make users look the same and cover as many metrics as possible, in an effort to block fingerprinting techniques. Always display user language as en-US to websites, in order to protect the language used in the browser and in the OS. Disable WebGL, as it is a strong fingerprinting vector. Prevent access to the location services of the OS, and use Mozilla's location API instead of Google's API.
