I'd love to try it for the environment/exploration but the AC formula doesn't really work for me anymore.  What I've played of Mirage was fun it was just...bleh.

Mirage was a half assed copy game

shadows . I don’t give a flying fox about the narrative

the combat is solid and fun and I love the landscape

what more do I need? ###### woke shot

all I wanted was a fun game and I finally got it

Indiana Jones and great circle

combat sucks. Stealth is also bad.

but DAMN I am having so much fun with it. Love it.

Clair Obscur 33 is downloading - I have a feeling I will stop playing Indiana and Oblivion Remake due to this. And will likely stop me finishing Alan Wake 2 for a while again! Too many good games at the moment on my ps5 - I can keep busy for months - but I could not resist the “33” due to the reviews!

What did I expect - I was so happy with Japanese settings and starting combat that I misjudged how good this one is- totally got bored and dropped it almost the same as other AC games - lasted longer then Valhalla that for sure but still - not my style anymore

You seem to buy a lot of games Day one it must cost a fortune and then never finish them! Luckily for me I can always wait until there are super cheap sales, so games cost me peanuts and I tend to play one game at a time.

What is your gaming echo system of choice currently?

Yeah it’s a bit of an issue to get the latest and the greatest!

And I play at least 3 games simultaneously, switching when I get bored or stuck - to relax and come back later

I am on ps5 and I am having less fun with some new games then the ones I did not finish

but the Expedition 33 is not one of them - DAMN… I stopped very other game I play including Tetris connected just so I can play this

Expedition 33 has been a great game so far. Depending on your country, see if there's a video game rental service or library nearby that has the latest and greatest games. This also assumes that you have the disc version of the PS5.

Unfortunately I got my disc free version at a time when it was all that was available and been then I was on the waiting list - and since then I am totally digital and honestly I don’t see a reason to switch to disk anymore now

got it almost for free with all my ps4 games and console

looking back maybe I should have waited for disk version a bit but I needed it fast back then due to things and stuff

Expedition 33

This is absolutely the best experience I had with this kind of games and in gaming in general recently - this is at top quality experience while been super friendly too.  The only one similar game that got me into turn based was Yakuza like a dragon where I was forced into it as a huge fan of the series

this makes me have another try at souls games or other soulslike - I gave up on them but this seems to babysit me into some tough stuff while having fun 🤩 in amazing world, that does not go all dark from start - it’s  whimsical instead where you don’t know what to expect  !

Expedition 33 is a game that is in my top 20 experiences ever and certainly game of the year (if not decade!)

I can’t stop being impressed with how much fun I am having… they really outshine any other major jrpg for me and actually made me want to play more jrpg - but I am afraid I will be disappointed without their style

and the music - DAMN! No wonder the soundtrack stand on its own as a chart topper.

i am in love with this game for sure

Playing Doom: The Dark Ages ... just finished Level 5 .. it's alright I guess.

Not a fan of the Dragon or Atlan.  So far it is my least favorite of the latest three (2016/Eternal)...but many more levels to go to change my mind.

Just finished Doom the Dark ages, it was good although I also didn't enjoy the Dragon or Atlan levels especially the one near the end, the sheer number of foes it sends at you whilst maintaining frame pacing/Frame rate is seriously impressive and I very much enjoyed the level design.

I'm now replaying Doom 2016 which I think is probably my favourite of the three "recent" Doom games.

Currently playing Prince of Persia the Lost Crown on PS5 Pro with PS+ Extra subscription.

Is it good? I tried it and just gave up. Did like to memorize attacks and all that difficulty

but with expedition 33 making me learn attack combos from enemies -  the gaming mechanic I never liked to use before… maybe I need to go back to the lost crown!

I'm really enjoying it so will likely play it all the way through as I'm not someone who drops games and starts another otherwise I end up not finishing anything. Anyway it's part of my sub so should finish it before they remove it to get my sub values worth.

Went on a bit of a Bethesda binge recently after the Oblivion remaster release, although not in a positive way.

I liked the OG Oblivion and completed it nearly 20 years ago, but the remaster didn't resonate with me in the same way - just feels like it hasn't aged well, gameplay-wise - so I moved onto finally giving Skyrim a go after owning it for so many years, and I had what I've been informed was a classic introduction to the game...

It got stuck shortly after that at the point where an NPC's supposed to be thrown on the chopping block and beheaded; everyone just stood in place twiddling their thumbs and not saying their lines (this was the Xbox version too of the 'Special Edition' with no mods enabled).

Did the same every time I reloaded, so took it as a sign that even the game was telling me to just bin it, so I did and moved onto Fallout 4, which is alright so far (touch wood).

Finished Doom...and my opinion remains the same.  Least favorite of the three ... Dragon and Atlan levels, still not a fan of, ... but overall it was worth it

Now diving back into Fallout 76.  Playing solo and ignoring all that community crap.  Basically just exploring and going through the quests (which are weak).  Will consider it done, I guess, when I've explored the whole map...or get bored of it again.

I feel the same way. It's okay, but something's missing compared to the previous two. Maybe Atlan is a bit too much?

    • Apple finally brings the slider for Liquid Glass and many other changes by Aditya Tiwari Apple kicked off the official live stream of the WWDC 2026 annual developer event. The company began its latest wave of announcements with changes to the controversial Liquid Glass design language, which debuted last year across Apple's entire software ecosystem. A lot of people didn't like Liquid Glass when it first arrived on iPhone and other devices last year. The devices were plagued with transparency issues and whatnot. While Apple improved things over the year, it has now added a new Liquid Glass slider that lets you switch the transparency from clear to opaque. The sidebars now expand to the edge of the window. When you scroll the UI sideways, the refraction continues beneath the sidebar rather than being cut off at the boundary. Moreover, Apple has changed the way Liquid Glass is rendered across the system. There is a separation between different layers, which makes buttons in the toolbar stand out from the background. Apple said it "deeply appreciates" the feedback it received from users and has made adjustments to Liquid Glass.
    • FWIW, I've been using Helium on Linux and Windows since the first time it was mentioned here. Actually, maybe a day or 3 before, as I searched for it when I saw it mentioned on the MX Linux forums. Haven't had a single issue on either OS. Not bad for a beta.
    • See up until a few years ago y'all could get away with simply denying your war crimes, pretending it never happened. Unfortunately for you, it's the 2020s and Israel's genocide has been livestreamed in real time. You have to be dumber than a rock to think anyone still believes your propaganda. See the cat is already out of the bag. The world already knows who you are so do yourself a favor and just drop the facade. Bet it gets real tiring keep track of all the lies. Take some inspiration from Israeli ministers who boast on live TV they like massacring civilians. Every zionist accusation is after all a confession.
    • He's just reporting what Microsoft posted. https://msmessagecenter.com/MC1381119 It just means that Windows Defender updates will no longer be bundled into the monthly Cumulative Windows security update and will now be a separate download. They'll still be on Microsoft update of course but now they can be released faster.
    • Apple announces iOS 27 with no changes to the list of supported iPhones by Taras Buria At WWDC 2026 in Cupertino, Apple announced iOS 27, the next mobile operating system for compatible iPhones. The update focuses on tweaking and improving last year's iOS 26, particularly in areas like app launch time, Liquid Glass design, and more. Additionally, Apple has reworked Apple Maps with a significantly enhanced Flyover view for a much more realistic view. Apple also promises better performance, smarter search, new Health features, new parental controls, and more. The most important part is that iOS 27 is compatible with all iPhones that can run iOS 26. That means that even the seven-year-old iPhone 11 can run iOS 27 (supposedly better than iOS 26). iOS 27 will be available this Fall, with the first developer betas expected later today. You can follow the live stream here.
