Here are a few pics I've taken this summer. The first four are of a storm rolling in overhead and I thought the clouds looked pretty cool, and the fifth is just a crazy orange sky we had one night! All of 'em were taken with my cheapo Sony DSC-P41. :p

...I should say that none of these have been altered other than being resized, we've just had kind of a strange year for weather here in Alberta. Hope you liked 'em. :)

I tend to use PSP9 instead but you can do the same things in Photoshop. I usually adjust the brightness and contrast first and then maybe a bit of hue and saturation adjustment (the automatic function in PSP actually works quite well). If it needs it I use the digital camera noise removal filter which gets rid of some of the graininess but it tends to lose some of the detail. Finally I just crop it and put a border on if it needs it.

Just fiddle around in photoshop with some of the features like sharpness, colour levels and noise filters.

Here are some of mine :$.

Architecture Above, taken with a soft light filter.

The original picture which is in colour, was taken with a standard lens (18-55mm) at an outdoor concert during the night. So flash was used also, to get that effect I had a very tedious 1 hour or so with the lasso tool to basically trace her, inverse selection, and saturated the background :).
