Transmission

It's still in early beta stage...

At the bottom of the screen you can see the total amount uploaded.

Anyway I can't stand Tomato Torrent (even the name is bad) so I rather use this.

Thats the speed total, not the amount of data transferred. Also, that wasn't so much bashing Transmission, as it was saying that Tomato actually has things in it the Transmission doesn't, so how could it be more polished.

Yeah, that's probably because they just started with this project... Tomato Torrent has been around longer, so naturally it has more features atm.

features != polish

Looks even better with UNO applied

I'd like it to remember the window size I set it to from last time I used the app, & a 'Reveal in Finder' button so that when you've completed a d/l you can jusmp straight to it :)

Dj Clue - Operation Desert Storm

Lil' Kim

Can't read the last one :ninja:

It's crashed a few times with big files. :(

That's so weird, I used it to download files of 700 MB ~ 2,2 GB it didn't crash once. One thing that does bother me is the time it takes to quit the application when a torrent is downloading.

I've found that around 10 torrents causes it to crash, regardless of filesize.

I had a problem where it reported the download of a file was complete, i.e. the progress bar was complete and the status was "seeding" but it showed that the file was still downloading i.e. I was getting a "D/L speed" still. It was really strange and or course the file would not work (it was a TV show). Other than that, it has worked okay without any crashes. It really could use a better app icon though.

Yea, I saw him appealing for a new icon. (Maybe on his site or in the Readme file, somewhere like that).

Looks like Busta Rhymes? ?:cool:l:

Is nicer to the trackers

Asks for the rarest pieces first

OS X: Universal binary for PPC and x86

OS X: Fixed "Progress increases every time I pause then resume"

OS X: Fixed "Sometimes crashes at exit"

OS X: Cleaner icon

OS X: Show all sizes in human readable form

OS X: Keep downloading in the background when the window is closed

    • Windows 95 offered the ability to add and edit the right click menus, on a per file type basis. This feature seems to be missing in the new file explorer. Are they bringing it back as a "new" feature?
    • It's nearly time to replace my aging Founders Edition 3080, it doesn't OC as nicely as it used to and it's running around 10c warmer than it did when I first bought it.  I don't have budget for much more than what I spent on the 3080 and locally, that means the best GPU I can manage is a 9070XT. On this basis I have a few questions: 1. At present I don't use ray tracing, if this was to change, would this GPU be an issue? 2. How does it compare on a performance basis? 3. Are the drivers worse or better than those for nVidia? 4. Linux support, is it there? 5. Anything else I should be aware of if I were to make this change? 6. Is it a good idea or shall I try and keep the 3080 a little longer.
    • What OS is that? It looks a bit like Mac OS but the command line suggests it isn't, either way I like it!
    • Outlook classic is inherently better than new outlook, for a number of reasons. That said, if the only reason people need office is to read email, they should just use thunderbird.
