  1. 1. Do you maximize your windows?

    • I always maximize and I rarely multitask. One program full screen.

    • When I multitask, I switch from one maximized screen to another.

    • I use a combination of maximized and non-maximized windows.

    • I only use the smallest possible windows so I can see my desktop.

i have 1024*768 on my laptop so i dont maximize anything. The only app i use in a big window, almost the whole desktop is my browser, opera, as i usually have many tabs open, but thats about it, everything else i try to keep to its smallest size...

I went for "I maximize only "important" applications."

Firefox is always maximised when its open, so are things like word, excel etc. Stuff like explorer windows I keep little and I have a few of them open usually. Winamp is open most of the time and that obviously isnt maximised.

I maximise most of the time. The only time I don't is if I am comparing files/folders or need more than 1 file open at once while working

Yea, I don't maximize my explorer windows. That's not really an application (at least in my mind).

I maximize only the important onces, such as the office applications, visual studio, nero and a few others but don't maximize to allow easier file copying and web browsing.

I have 4 virtual desktops, on one of them I put my small stuff like gaim and xmms and any terminals. On the other three I maximize whatever i'm working on, including browser windows. Then I just mouse wheel between the desktops. Its the best desktop management idea I've ever seen.

maximising on 1280x1024 is too big for me.

i like to have this reasonable large but not maximised so i can move between multiple windows with ease, and so that i can see multiple windows without having to click on them.
