Bought this phone on eBay and got it last week. Brilliant phone, but pricey (not CAD$700 like someone said, but closer to 450-500$) and well worth-it.

I dont think I would of bought the phone sim free. It works out much cheaper on a contract, which is the only reason I was able to of got it :)

oh well :p after hours of thinking i came to the solution to ask here :p

i just bought that phone and so far everything is perfect except one thing:

if i upload games and such onto the memory card through USB cable they wont appear in the folder management in the phone so i have to take the card out and put it back in. Is it meant to be like that or is it b0rked :)

(there wasnt any info about it in the user manual :( )

You just drop the jar file into the /MSSEMC/Media Files/other/

then unplug the phone, go into the Games menu, and it should list the game, you click on it and it will install itself.

actually i did that but in order to see the content that was on the memory i had to take the memory card out and put it back in, cause unplugging didnt seem to work :(

Edit: oh it did work :) thanks

hey all :) its me again.

today i managed to see that my battery back cover wasnt really firm and made a gummy noise :)

so i searched the forums and saw im not the only one with this problem so i googled and found a nice topic in esato forums that had a nice fix for it, and knowing that the problem is on lot of SE phones i thought i'd share the topic here:

I stated earlier that I wouldn't post anymore, and I wont, but some people here have been very helpful to me, so I'd like to share this to those who had the same problem as me - a battery cover that fits a little loose for the K700i after having opening it a few times (it also happens after a lot of pushing on the keypad).

The reason that the cover gets loose and feels badly fitted is that when it's being pushed in order to take it off, the side part of it is stretch out and looses capability to hold the phone as hard as it takes to feel solid. This also goes for doing a lot of typing on the keypad since that has the same effect (the backside of the phone is pushed a lot while holding at the back of the phone).

Here's the fix: Take the battery cover off. Using your thumb and long finger, push the two sides of the cover hard together so you actually see that they move closer together. Now comes the important part to make the trick work: Hold this position for one minute. It will make the cover stay in this "tighter" form. Now, put the cover back on the phone. You will now experience that it's very very tight to put it back on and the fit is very very solid.

I did it a week ago and the fit has not changed back even though I use the phone very extensively. To push the sides of the cover hard together for a minute makes the shape shange into a position that it should have had from the beginning.

oh well another stupid question :)

does anyone else experience this weird cheap plastic syndrome :) cause when i press on my w800i's back cover then i hear cracking noise or more of a click click noise, if noone is experiencing that i guess i have to set my way to the service again :(

oh cmon ppl :) step out! :) just say if ur w800i also creaks or not :)

I get a "creak" noise when I press down just above the battery cover. But the phone has always been pretty solid for me and I am not worried by it at all, even though many people say the battery cover itself is pretty loose (and I tend to agree), it has never actually fallen off by mistake.

Oh, and if anyone else is not sure Syxxpacc is referring to the creak when you press down next to the SE badge on the back cover in the middle, but for some reason mine does not creak every single time I try it, just randomly!

    • Remarkably based article from Garter - apparently there IS someone working there that actually understands mainframe systems.
    • Calling it TDS doesn’t answer the question: why did this site skip prior UFC games but review this one, at this exact political moment?
    • Its the timing of its release, mixed with the timing of the review mixed with the timing of the event, when this site never reviewed previous iterations of this game that I could find.
    • Instagram just got "a long-requested feature" by Hamid Ganji Instagram has finally added a new feature that has been "long-requested" and it allows users to write an individual caption for each image or video in a carousel. The feature will start rolling out this week, and it’ll be available to all users. Previously, Instagram only allowed a single caption for all regular posts and carousels. This made it harder for content creators to describe every scene in a carousel and often forced them to write longer captions. However, with this new feature, every slide in a carousel can have its own caption, which can be viewed by swiping left or right. To use the feature, when writing a caption for your post, select “Multiple captions” from the dropdown menu in the caption area. You can then write unique captions for each slide. By swiping through the carousel and selecting individual slides, a dedicated space for writing captions will appear. Instagram says the feature will help audiences get the right context at the right moment. The ability to assign a unique caption to each slide in a carousel could be particularly useful for content creators and brands on the platform. Instagram says the feature will begin rolling out this week. The new feature appears to have been well received by Instagram users, many of whom have been requesting it for a long time. However, users are now asking for additional features, such as the ability to add new slides to a carousel after it has been published. Instagram has been introducing several useful features lately, but users who want access to additional tools and perks can subscribe to the platform’s Instagram Plus offering. Priced at $3.99 per month, Instagram Plus includes exclusive features such as 48-hour Stories, more detailed post analytics, and the ability to tailor posts or Stories to specific audiences. The subscription includes 11 new features in total.
