Ya, this forum, the spooler over at Mess.be, hotmail inbox, gmail inbox... I'm going to use up my monthly bandwidth in 5 hours... :huh:

I give up....I thought that the people on Neowin could be a little more grown up when it comes to requesting invites like this but I guess I was wrong.

I have officially asked for this thread to be closed as this has quite gotten out of hand.

It's going to happen. The only way to truely handle this is to have a mod set up a locked thread, take PM's from people with invites, post that they're available, and then let the users contact those people. Otherwise there will always be people requesting invitations.

I think the method which is (now 'was' is more accurate :D :( ) used in web2messenger invites (generated urls) are more forum-friendly and fair :) But we cannot expect a similar solution from Microsoft unfortunately...

:yes: But then again, what happens when the mod goes to bed or something? Thery need to have certain mods dedicated to it at certain times. Example: PM Mod #1 between 12:00 and 4:00; PM Mod #2 between 4:00 and 8:00; etc... Otherwise the number of invites someone has doesn't get updated and people's inboxes get filled up even if they don't have any more

lol yah for mail beta and onecare live jus go signup on that ideas page, and hopefully they'll contact you in a months time...i waited only 2-3 wks =P and NO I AINT GOT INVITES...

I signed up for OneCare Live only because I was on the page trying to get WLM and Live Mail. I'm glad I did though, it's very nice, although kinda slow for me.

      All good features. But it is not an actual Windows app. I’d rather use the PWA. Meanwhile but versions - Classic and Modern - are full of bugs and inconsistencies. Yuck.

      Had one user who switched to new Outlook, could not send an email he sends weekly due to file size to large error, works fine in classic Outlook. Issue just today, user received a meeting invite, when she went to add the meeting to the calendar it opened up New Outlook (she has classic open) and we could not add the invite to her calendar, We had her switch to New Outlook, it crashed when we tried to add the invite. Still hot garbage.
