Intel releases new logo

Recommended Posts

AMD fan boys still do not get it, Intel is still the proverbial mile ahead of AMD when it comes to certain systems and requirements and not least the fact that AMD still only have a very small share of the market! Intel's sales accounted for +/- 90% of the revenue in a $5.8 billion market! When massive companies decide on a logo and slogan this is done with military precision and research, and does not get done on a whim alone!

Oh and by the way my two main PC?s at home are a 64 Bit AMD 3500+ and the other is a 64 Bit AMD 3200+. My server is a Intel Machine!

True, Intel still have the server market and the notebook (the Centrino Chipset is far better than AMD's Turion).

Intel are not behind, just because they did not release there 64-Bit processor in till Windows Xp 64-Bit came out does not mean they are behind, they far ahead of AMD in the notebook market.

If they were that far behind why did Apple choose them?

I think it's actually not bad. Anyone who knows nothing about computers will immediately think "Leap ahead--it must be the best", and will go out and buy a Dell. Anyone who knows anything about processors will get an AMD. I mean, since when was Intel tailoring their logos to us nerds?

Also, to whoever said they hate the AMD fanboys--it's not that we're AMD "fanboys", AMD is just better right now. Look at any of the benchmarks and you'll see that. I mean, in certain instances, AMD's lower-end processors are faster than Intel's highest-end processor.

What you have to remember is that this new logo doesn't just represent the intel processor line, but all of their products. Intel provide quite a varied amount of chipsets etc.. for many different uses (set top boxes, centrino etc..) So this is a rebranding to take into account not only the processors, but everything intel is selling.

Personally the logo is nice and simple, although i don't like the leap ahead stuff, i did like intel inside branding.

The logo is so generic...

Intel: intel_logo.jpg

It looks more suitable for an aeronautics company as someone mentioned before. Oh well, not terribly important. Their chips will do the important talking.

Both of those logos scale well from big poster size down to a web favourites icon. They are also very strong and recognizable.

For those of you calling us "fanboys" well at least I'm not. I go with the better brand and right now it's AMD. by last quarter of 2006 I might be supporting Intel.

whats CDW?

It is a reseller/distributor of computers and office supplies for larger companies/corporations.Our IT Support department got a big tin of cookies this Christmas for being such a good customer.

The original Intel logo featuring a lowered "e" will be replaced with one showing an oval swirl surrounding the company's name.intel_logo.jpg

I wonder which 8 year old school kid designed the new logo?

The very least they could have done is used the same font for the "e" as the rest of the letters. The "e" should have a "rounded" square appearance as does the curved portion of the "n" (and the other letters)!

The totally round "e" looks totally out of place :(

the oval with intel would be fine, cut the 'leap ahead' crap,

its about time they changed that, intel inside was fine years back, they need to get professional,

the new one is pretty neat, they should make the white part silver[brushed] and make the blue slightly darker.

;-)

I don't mind the new Intel? Logo. But I admit that it's not great.

However AMD can't go leap ahead showing false comparision.

AMD compare their AMD Athlon? 64 FX to Pentium? 4 Extreme Edition here:

http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/Produc...%5E9494,00.html

what they don't include as a Feature to compare is "Dual Core". Pentium? 4 Extreme Edition is dual core but that's not mentioned in the tab:devil:evil:

    • Brave Browser 1.91.168 by Razvan Serea Brave Browser is a lightning-fast, secure web browser that stands out from the competition with its focus on privacy, security, and speed. With features like HTTPS Everywhere and built-in tracker blocking, Brave keeps your online activities safe from prying eyes. Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. And it does all this by default. SlimBrave Neo takes all the good things about Brave and makes them even better by keeping everything clean, light, and privacy-focused. It removes the extra clutter, turns off features you might not need, and cuts down on anything that could slow you down or collect unnecessary data. • Thanks Microsoft but no, I find both iterations of Outlook terrible nowadays and switched back to Thunderbird at home.
    • Happens to the best of us, bro. 😛
    • Thanks to some of the other recent Windows improvements, I'm optimistic about this one. My quick wishlist would be: perf like the older menu, merge both menus or at the very least, the older menu should be a flyout, not a simulated click to the old menu, and lastly, a customization window to let users move items from one menu to another, so I could bring Send To back to the main menu, and the OneDrive settings to the older.
