:(:(:(:( mines in the shop now :(:(

went to the apple store to get my latch looked at, it was being a pain, its broken. had them look at a screen thing that was completely minor in my opinion...looks like im getting a new screen. maybe this time there wont be a dead pixel....missing my ibook until next week:ponder:

My Mac:

400 mhz G4 AGP

ATI Rage Pro

512 mb PC-133(not that it natters bus is only 100 mhz : ) )

12x TDK burner

OS X 10.2.1

I have had this G4 since they were first released but ended up giving it to my mother, just recently got it back and installed OS X on it and i have to say that I love it, I now spend more time on it then my PC. I switched to PCs years ago after having a Macintosh Classic, and Performa series (can't remember the number but it was 60 mhz PPC, and i installed a DOS compatiblity card, with a 486, remmeber those).

eeek...hope it gets fixed n ends up running well..

i have my eyes on an 800 mhz emac right now...cant get what "I" want (powermac) lol...so i have to settle with something else, i was thinking for a while of getting a high end 15" imac but then again it would cost too much ($3000 with taxes in CDN $$$), emac would be the best deal...and i was thinking bout getting the low end emac with an ipod...but i'dd rather have a computer with a 60 gig drive for $2200 than a computer with a 40 gig drive (n slower processor) and 20 gig ipod thats about $2500 CDN...hmmm

i changed configurations so im assuming its ok to post the new specs heh

powermac g3 blue and white

g4 450mhz processor

256 - 384mb of ram depending on if i give ram to the pc or not

40 gb WD hard drive

17 inch apple studio display

ahh the joys of upgrading, ill say the g4 definately makes a difference, any blue and white g3 owners should definately upgrade, i went from a 350g3 to a 450 g4 and wow i can feel it, esspecially in stuff like imovie so i say if ya find a good price on a g4 zif for your blue and white go for it!.

I threw him a left, then a right. I proceeded to shove a stick up his.....

oh wait a sec....this isn't "Death-To-Macs" forum? My bad...

calm down guys, i'm just kidding :p

*EDIT: Forgot to mention:

Our "big-dawg" at the school that I helped pass a resolution to purchase is:

733mhz G4 Gray Tower

1GB RAM

120 GB HD

SuperDrive

OS X 10 (but they have to use OS 9.x because of the stupid networking software...long story)

17" Viewsonic Monitor (you really think a school could afford the 22" Apple Studio Display? BAH!)

    • There is a lot of reasons not to use Edge but faster fixes and security updates is not one of them.
    • Can't reproduce. I installed Edge, went to neowin.net > accepted the cookie consent > used menu to go to forums, everything loads and I can browse around the forums. If you can't interact with the dialog on the forums for some reason, go to the main site and accept the cookie consent there? It is true that the site will not function properly until the cookie consent is accepted or rejected,. it's a legal requirement and I also know that certain VPN/ad blockers block it, which is a user related issue and not a neowin.net problem.   This is not our cookie consent dialog. Gotta love browser hijacking... /s Edit: this may be what Californians see, I will confirm with our consent provider.
