[OFFICIAL] Xbox Live Latest Demos

Nah i didn't make that comment on MN so i guess i'm not alone. Downloading it again now, if it doesn't work i'll try clearing the cache.

Downloaded it again with same problem. Nevermind i'll live as long as other demos don't have this problem.

 Sorry to hear that. That really is beat that you along with others are having this issue.

In all seriousness though, why not call MS Support if you have not already? 1-800-4MYXBOX

They are generally very quick overall, and who knows they might maybe know why it's happening and have a fix.

Not to get you worried, but I would also call just to be safe and make sure that this relatively small problem might eventually lead to a bigger one, you know? Honestly, you paid good money for the 360, so everything should work for you, even Demos, at least this is how I see it.

And although I nitpicked the hell out of Dead Rising the other day in regards to some of the technical issues I saw, I have to admit this game really truly is FUN as all hell. Especially since thanks to this thread I read\ how to get some of the cooler weapons, and things like playing around with the blender, I will without any doubt at all definitely be renting the game when it comes out.

I might as well post an intial impression of Dead Rising based on the demo.

So I downloaded the demo, played through it a few times, most of the time just running around killing everything in my path, with anything in my path. What can I say about this game...?

Is it fun?

Ohhh yes... it's a lot of fun (more on this later). There are sooo many weapons you can find and kill zombies with, though I was having tons of fun just using the intial sledgehammer.

Is it graphically impressive?

Ummm... this is a hard question to answer. The short answer is yes and no. The long answer follows: The game looks beautiful when you're playing, the blood and gore look amazing, and even splatter on your clothes and body when you kill something in a particularly gruesome way. The reflections in the water, and on the shiny mall floor look great. The cutscenes however, do disappoint. With Dead Rising, I expected the in-game movies, and the cutscenes to blow me away. Note, this is because of the gameplay movies I had seen. As DL already mentioned, the lip-synching is totally off, but that isn't the worst part; the absolute worst thing about the cutscenes look like an impressive Xbox title.

Would I buy it?

No. Definetly not. Like I said before, Dead Rising is a lot of fun to play, but for only so long. The endless, and mindless killing gets repetitive, and with one of the achievements in the complete game being killing 50000+ zombies, you will get VERY bored. I would rent this game, definetly, play it for a few days, enjoy the gruesome and overdone blood and gore, and then get rid of it. With games costing $60, it just doesn't seem worth it to purchase Dead Rising, and then trading it in again a month or two later.

^ I pretty much agree. I think I'll keep the game for at least a week or two, though.

Same here. (Y)

I just put BFME II in my mailbox, which off topic for a secondI commented on BFME II here.

So the mailman takes BFME II tomorrow, and I took every game off of my GameFly queue except Dead Rising (a little trick I do to "force" them to send me the game I want, just leave one game on the queue  ). So GF should send Dead Rising out the first or second day it gets released, and since nothing else is coming out for a couple of weeks, I plan on keeping it at least 2 weeks. Really play the hell out of it. Hopefully I have it by Saturday. (Y)

I rather enjoyed the Dead Rising demo, I know people have said it doesn't look that great but with the amount of zombies that's on screen at once you can't expect the graphics to blow you away. I like games that I can lose myself in and Dead Rising looks like it is going to be one of them.

I have noticed slowdown/delay when you knock over three or more zombies at once, hopefully it will be fixed :)

Well i finally pre-ordered Dead Rising Collectors Edition. The only thing i'm worried about with this game is the fact you have to get to certain point in a certain time to continue the story... i can see that becoming really tedious... unless they give you ages to do it.

I'm considering preordering it too, but I'm going to wait and see if the slow down is fixed in the retail version :)

Neat trick. I may have to try that one.

(Y) I just copy and paste the entire list right from the HTML page into a new document using a text program that keeps the rich formating of the text (which I use a Mac but I am 99% positive word will do this) so when I go to add them back on, I just click the name of the game that is lowest on the list, add to queue, and repeat until I get to number 1, and it keeps my order I had. It takes maybe 3-5 minutes to complete, and it is worth the time to get the game I want.

I've just had the 360 replaced with a refurbished 1 last week so i hope it's not buggered! I don't think its faulty as everything else works flawlessly and it's amazingly quiet.

Yes already done that and downloaded twice again today, same disc error after pressing start. After googling alot of people have the same problem. Some have solved it by downloading several times and some haven't.

[edit]

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully all it means is they send out a replacement HDD and you do not have to go through returning the whole unit itself. Good Luck.

Some demos download fine and some don't! Now i'm confused. lol

Call MS man. I know it sucks, and I know you got a replacement already, but even a small thing like demos not working is just unacceptable.

May I also suggest complaining like all hell.

    • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
