2 quick tips:

For it not to appear always on top go to the tools menu.

If install fails go to documents and setting/local data/temp/uk456.exe and run it *** Delete your messenger folder from program files before doing this. And it will install perfectly.

Just tested the new live contact info.

Click on your Display Picture.

Flip your personal contact card.

Et voila ! push the Live Contact card to enter your info and select with who you want to share personal or business info

NB : Better to select Custom ... to have the choice to enable your infos visible for selected contacts

The thrid time is the charm...:p (that's how many times I have done it...)

And oh yeah, anyone noticed this?, it looks like a new way to organize your contacts...

How did you get the big display icons for the contacts - i just have the little MSN7.5 Style icons.....

When the download finishes close WLM unistall previous versions..make sure you delete all the contents on MSN Messenger folder. go to your windows temp folder and locate the installer. its about 14 mb and its name is in random letters.

Thanks alot dude!

Finally got it working. Uninstalled 562. Deleted MSN Messenger folder. Installed 365 again. Went to Local Settings\Temp and found the 13.5MB file

Installed it. And now 566 :D

IMO ... it looks better now. Hope the icons will be replaced. The look is now simplified but still stylish

i much more prefer this one to the earlier one 562 one

the whole colouring thing clooks much better, it doesnt ahve that annoying seperation across the top in 562 for the title bar that made some colours horrible

it looks much more refined, though i would prefer new icons

it sill has that annoying red pixel in the taskbar -_-

all in all, much better than the previous two builds in my opinion :D

Well 5x times trying to update, now updated and not that great. Too "white" for me. And even with others colours still white too much. In 562 I complain about those old MSN icon and now it?s even worse LOL. Well I loved that hover effect on first WLM build and with the time going on I think that WLM is going more and more like 7.6 ou 7.7 version but not 8.0 at all.

Let?s hope this change.

See ya.

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
