Latest Japanese Hardware Sales

Recommended Posts

The PS3 continues its downwards trend quite rapidly, not even selling a third anymore of what the Wii sells

The Psp seems to sharing the same fate now, selling only a third of what the DS Lite sells as well.

MS still needs to come up with a proper slogan and campaign for the X360 in Japan.

Exposing the fact that Xbox360 - 2,910 might nullify your theory. The Playstation 3 is definitely not selling as well as the Wii (hell, the Wii is pure dominance at it's finest against any console)... but let's not forget the 360's numbers over there shall we? Do honestly think just a mere slogan would do the trick? :p

Do the Japanese eat DS's for breakfast?!

+1

I'm surprised to see the 360 go up to nearly 4,000. I expected the PS3 sales to drop some (as well as the 360), but the PS2 seems to be selling very well for an 8-year-old console. I just wish I invested in Nintendo about a year or so ago on the Nikkei exchange.

Well, the DSL did drop under 100,000, I don't remember the last time I saw it under that. The Wii fell a bit also, under 60,000 but still going strong. The PS3 is still in it's stedy decline, though that gundam game did help it a bit, once that faded it right back to the 16,000s. 360 seems to be getting a little boost, maybe from all the news of games like DMC4, AC4 and so on not being PS3 exclusive anymore. I think when you just wanna play these games and don't care about the name of the system you play them on, then price is the only factor. With the 360 being cheaper a small but stedy % of buyers pick it up over the expensive PS3.

Weird, the only 3 gaming devices that got a raise where the PSP, PS3 and more shockingly the Game Boy Micro. The rest went down.

What the hell happened this week?

Umm.. The Xbox 360 went up.
