Grope for Luna Share Posted November 1, 2006 How do you change the service pack identifier? Some programs read the OS as XP but require SP2 and won't install because 2003 has SP1.
null_ Share Posted November 1, 2006 How do you change the service pack identifier? Some programs read the OS as XP but require SP2 and won't install because 2003 has SP1. Try changing the "CSDVersion" key in the registry, located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion.
Grope for Luna Share Posted November 1, 2006 I tried that before but it didn't help. There's a CSDBuildNumber (currently 1830) there as well. Anyone have the value for XP SP2?
