Microsoft is working to take down those Screenshots

no thier not...

I thought Chris from LiveSide is working for Microsoft?

lol nope :p LiveSide.net is not affiliated with Microsoft

this would make the product better: tabbed convos, no ads, 3 way video convos (+fullscreen) and all the other ideas suggested by users on connect.microsoft.com

i agree they would, but you never know, some of them might be on the way :D

I belive that those SS are fakes... Actually in mess.be was published that it was a fake maded for april's fools...

no mess.be posted that build .614 that was floating around on the internet was a skin made by someone. The skin was based on the screenshots posted on liveside :)

MSN Today is an important feature :pinch: why don't they add some important feature like high-res/multi-party video conference ?

because their servers are overloaded

its not like ur video stream picks a p2p way...oh thatd be cool...

why do u think were i able to run my webcam at 20 fps in full resolution back when that feature got beta tested, but nowadays get like... 3 fps? :D

-fm

Thats the dumbest excuse I have ever heard. Why can they send 1000's of people a beta of Vista weighing at >2GB at over ~1MB/sec each, how much bandwidth could a 3 way convo really use 30-40KB/sec up/down? Also, why can't they just bypass the microsoft servers and do direct connection to each user?

You know what I realised the other day? Build 614 that was released (The program...NOT the official screenshots) can be looked at as: 2006, the first of the fourth month (April). 06/01/04 OR 614.

I found it kinda cool.

But anonymousjon is right. The screenshots are NOT fake. The released build is. That goes for you :No-Frost:. You posted that it was fake in my thread when it was confirmed real on many occasions.

Again. Released Program that you see people using: FAKE but based on FACT. Pictures on LiveSide.net about the future of WLM: FACT.

EDIT: Build 683 Preview!!!!

It looks nice :D

how do you think file transfer works ? ...video stream works beautifully via p2p...I use both skype(win) and ichat ...server load is not the reason for sure. I am not sure if I can call WLM people as unaware of market, but its their focus on trivial features, that bugs me the most. (think, skins for WLMail before making sure it works across all browsers for new UI).

Wasn't this posted on Mess.be earlier this week? :/

Since when is changing one window to another because of a name change a feature? o.O

Also if you save your chats all your contacts e-mails are in your received files folder under history, the only thing missing is the @domain part and i'm sure most of them are hotmail ;)

thats another thing that could do with updating. WLM/MSN chat logs are rubbish. Messenger Plus Live ftw

    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
    • Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with adblockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Opera Air'. It still has some bloat, but nowhere near as much as Brave browser, for example. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. I have a system wide Adblocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the the web browser, but over the whole thing. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt adblocker because of that.
