I like that, when you send a message, and then send one right after, it DOSN'T have " xxxx said: " twice, but puts it in w/ the old message (kinda like the flood control at NW)

However, the sounds don't always work, and I'm hardly ever looking at my taskbar.

it's nice! i'm using it right now and it's pretty stable and nice UI and nice new features.. it's cool that an intern build leaked :)

screen:

wlm2ew.th.jpg

(i already patched it :p )

How did your remove the advert at the bottom?

could someone post the new sound scheme?

I already did https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?show...ost&p=587425705

I've asked since day one for an option to turn off that damn bumper spacing/auto snap to window "feature" or whatever you want to call it where you end up with that ackward spacing at the top of both the contact list and the messenging window. I hate that! If I drag the messenging window up flush with the top of the screen I probably mean that I want it to be there, but no!! the damn thing snaps back down about 30 pixels.

If you can't tell that bugs the crap out of me...and do you think they could just give me an option in there to enable/disable this "feature" of coarse not.

That is one thing I have requested over and over only to be ignored. To be honest I am getting really annoyed with the so called beta testing process where they supposedly listen to your feedback. I would bet money that I am not the only one that finds this to be annoying.

I HATE that too ! Everytime I move a window to the top of the screen, nope, jus bounces back down leaving that space. Why ! Ahh ! lol I can't standddd that either.

just got it working 100% but along side the player thing that comes with it, this also installs summut else that is doest tell you about

its in your add& remove proggies

and its names Windows Driver - MSN (usbccgp) USB (02/15/2002 1.2.0.103)

what the hell is this!!

Any more clarification on this ? I don't even wanna install it till I know what this is.

As LiveSide.net posted last week, its the driver for the new Windows Live Messenger Phone

I like that, when you send a message, and then send one right after, it DOSN'T have " xxxx said: " twice, but puts it in w/ the old message (kinda like the flood control at NW)

However, the sounds don't always work, and I'm hardly ever looking at my taskbar.

That bugged me because I was not used to it, however I found an option to turn it back to the way it used to be.

why would official WLM beta testers need a link, he is referring to people who are not testers asking for the link... funny tho, even if they got the link, they cant test it.

ideas.live.com has not been updated with the latest BETA, for me anyway.

The driver is for the upcoming Messenger Phones that are coming out for VoIP.

WLM Plus! Does not work on this build properly. Patchou will not be impressed.

are you sure? is there a source to prove this?

*nevermind*

I'm a tester was from almost day one but when i goto ideas.live.com and goto the beta theres invites and leave this beta etc.. but no download link!

Can someone PM me the link :) Also anyone want an invite i have 40 :)

Unfortunatly this is a leaked beta and therefore we arein't really allowed to share :(

Sorry dude. You'll have to wait till the official comes out later this month.

Converted the .wma's in the soundpack to .wav's for you guys so you can just copy/paste it into you X:\Program Files\MSN Messenger dir if you're using older versions- beware, back up your old sounds because you might not like these!

    • KillerPDF 1.4.2 by Razvan Serea KillerPDF is a lightweight, portable PDF editor for Windows built for users who want full control without subscriptions, installers, or telemetry. It runs as a single executable, making it ideal for USB use and field work. You can view PDFs with smooth PDFium rendering, navigate quickly with thumbnails, zoom, and shortcuts, and reorganize pages using drag-and-drop. It supports merging multiple PDFs, splitting documents, and extracting selected pages. KillerPDF also allows inline text editing with font matching to preserve the original layout, plus annotations like text boxes, freehand drawing, highlights, and reusable signatures. You can search full text, copy content easily, and print documents with flattened annotations. Designed as a free and open alternative to bloated PDF tools, it works fully offline on Windows 10/11 x64. No runtimes install. Everything needed is inside the EXE (targets .NET Framework 4.8, which ships with every supported Windows release). KillerPDF key features: High-quality PDF rendering via PDFium Edit PDF text inline (double-click to modify text) Page thumbnails and fast navigation with zoom and shortcuts Merge multiple PDFs into one Split PDFs and extract selected pages Drag-and-drop page reordering Font matching to preserve original document appearance Text boxes for notes Freehand drawing tools Highlight overlays with adjustable color, size, opacity Undo actions and clear per-page annotations Create, draw, and save reusable signatures Click-to-place signatures anywhere Full-text search with highlighted results Drag-select or Ctrl+A to copy text Print with annotations flattened Portable single-file app (~10 MB) No installer, no admin rights required No account, no telemetry KillerPDF 1.4.2 changelog: What's new PDF form filling. Interactive PDF forms now render their fields (text inputs, checkboxes, radio buttons) as live controls. Fill them in directly and save — field values are written back into the PDF. PDF outline (bookmark) navigation. A new OUTLINES tab in the sidebar displays the document's bookmark tree. Click any entry to jump to that page. The sidebar auto-fits its width to the longest entry on open and can be dragged wider; switching back to PAGES snaps to the pages-mode width. Fixed Page rotation no longer reverts after saving. Rotations applied via the sidebar context menu now persist correctly through the save pipeline. Copied text words were out of order on PDFs where glyphs are stored in non-reading order (Issue #66). Text extraction now sorts words by position and uses a dynamic line-grouping threshold so both drag-select and Select All produce correctly ordered output. PDFs with malformed or non-standard XRef tables now open in read-only mode instead of showing "Invalid entry in XRef table" and failing entirely. • The very fact that a TPM (v2.0 specifically which is part of the issue I suspect) is now a baseline for any supported Windows installation will naturally mean other vendors will start to leverage it as they know it'll be there. It's called progress, and it's always been the way. A TPM isn't a windows thing, it's just a module designed to securely store keys. Secure boot isn't a Windows thing (although MS are the TCA as I recall hence the upheaval this year as the 2011 certs expire), it's just a way to verify a bootloader is signed. Windows simply leverages them.
    • It's a local account with the ability to reset a password at a very base level. I really don't get the issue that gets whipped up around it But you do you
