Here's a quick preview of a skin I have in development at the moment for Astra

bleaches.png

It's currently about 85-90% complete.. The main colours are the black and white, the other bright ones were for testing the theme options - I'll probably keep them in there as options though.

Glad to see the legendary Juz finally over here! :p

I'm a huge fan of your skins, keep up the good work! (Y)

I use to use Trillian all the time, for all my instant messaging but then I switched to Trillian because it use to randomly crash and had a memory problem when I opened up several programs. I then switched to GAIM2.0, however after seeing the previous of the Trillian Astra I might go back.

Now only if Trillian Astra will be able to read the GAIM2.0 logs like how GAIM2.0 is able to read Trillian3.1 logs.

I really like how in Gaim you can merge contacts (as in, put them under one name). Is Astra going to be able to do that?

I swear this is turning into another Duke Nukem. Is this ever going to be released for the public to try? They can show us screenshot after screenshot and tell us what the features do, but until they actually allow more than a few people to try it its just vaperware.

I wouldn't say it is comparable to vaporware. If it was, there would be no people getting it.

Though, of course they are going at a slow 50 invites per week, with more than 10,000 sign-ups.

Argh, I signed up for this way way way back when they were asking for 50 people at first, and I also signed up right away when the signup page went up, I was also a Pro member, and I still haven't gotten an invite. Really wish someone would leak this already, 3.0 got leaked almost right away.

I've heard build 028.0.714 is out there ;)

There's also rumors that this leaked build is packed with an FTD pick-me-up trojan, so use it at your own risk. Anyway, those that have paid for the Pro version should be given access to the Alpha/Betas. Its the least they could do for dragging their butts between versions.

I agree but the developers don't. I was in the alpha/beta for 3.0 also and I still can't get into this one to save my life.

On first glance, that tiled graphic display would be a slightly awful idea for my current chat applications.

Imagine how far you'd have to scroll for 300+ contacts :p

The rest looks great though. I've always been a fan of Trillian, and it's nice to see their trying to get in with the Mac users (though will be very tough with Adium).

I look forward to this release. :)

I think it's an option to do that, as my Astra does not do that. :p. You can turn them on via options. And surprisingly, it displays my contacts alot better, I can see much more of them at one time, instead of the list one that made me scroll. :p

I just got in early today. It's a great application, lots of great features. :D

I got build .28, but I obviously can't login because I'm not a tester (yet), but the login looks sorta nice ;)

I bet someone will create a get round patch...but I think I will wait for a public beta :)

    • The level of stupidity at Google and Microsoft is beyond belief. All they are doing by killing this is forcing people to jump over to Firefox and ditch them all together, therefore giving Firefox the market boost it needs to finally crush them all in the end.
