Help needed with WMP11

Uninstalled the leaked 4826 build and installed the official 4827 build. All went well. :)

i've tried uninstalling WMP10, but it still doesn't work. Sometimes the installation will just stop at 16% where it says Currently Installing... Windows Media Format Runtime. The installation bar will just keep moving and moving till no end. :no:

managed to fix the problem, appears that the runtime cannot install due to wmdrmsdk.dll not being able to start, a re-install of itunes solved the problem although i'm not sure why. :pinch:

When using Urge and switching songs, WMP 11 tells me there it is an unrecognized file but WMP can probably still play it, so I select yes for the song to play. Weird bug.

Microsoft recommends not using IE7 and WMP11 together. Has anyone tried this and what problems if any did you have?

I guess I don't get Microsofts position on x64...they advertise all this stuff about how x64 is the next wave and all that, but everything they release we have to wait another month for an x64 version. If they want it to catch on then why do they do that? The x64 stuff should be developed side by side with the 32bit. Besides when it's all said and done it will probably just run with 32 bit emulation anyways.

media library is way better than in 10, but i dont think ive been converted from Winamp just yet

Have you checked the labelling of the .exe file ? Somewhere on the line I can read x86 but I see no x64 ... :whistle:

Well just be patient . You got WMP 10 on x64 ? So you'll probably get WMP 11 ! :laugh:

there is no wmp 10 for x64. just some parts of it installing via windows update.

Just installed WMP 11 Beta

How do I get the right side pane to show in the Now Playing view? It some how disappeared.

Also how do I get option to search media info to organize my albums? In WMP 10 you could choose Find Album Info and it would go to a page and you could select the album your trying update info for.

Where is this option in WMP 11?

Also where can I get an AAC codec?

Right click on a track and there is an option to find album info.

It won't allow you to install it..even in compatability mode.

Right click on your taskbar and go to Toolbars > Windows Media Player.

anyone having problem when trying to access urge? each time i click urge it will bring up the installation window for urge service. once its done dloading, i click run when prompted by the security warning and nothing happen after that. anyone?

@ skoogs: You're required to be an admin in order to install, but that's all. If it's failing, you can directly run the Urge install from the MTV web site...

Having a bunch of trouble switching from iTunes to WMP11..

It won't add all of my music because of the way that iTunes seperates each artist/album into seperate subfolders. At this rate, I have to go and add every single album folder to the Monitoring Folders list! With 1600+ songs right now... I'm not really up to that.

Anyone else having these problems or know how to fix them? Thanks!
