MSBlog Exclusive: Vista Beta 2 is public!

As im aware most people are having Doubts about installing Vista Beta 2 over there XP...Well from all what iv seen it looks Very stable and Wont Corrupt your HD, if there was a sign they wouldnt lets us download it..plus there is no sign of Really bad problems like that Over the net.

Soon as it finishes downloading im installing it over my XP :)

Just to let you guys know...its 10 activations per key, and 2 keys per .NET Passport/Windows Live ID. [Trust me, I just spent some time playing around with it :p]

goodie. i was thinking of just using my two hotmail accounts to get two keys lol. But don't have to now. Well done MS! Just hope vista is stable on my PC now.

Make a back up before installing Vista over Xp, or you will regret it. Vista beta2 still does very odd things at times, don't be a fool just because it's new and shiney!!

will 20 GB be ok?!??

Iam not planning on doing anything big with it.. just see whats it about.

That's exactly what I'm hoping to do. I only have 30gb left on my main machine and would really prefer to keep at least 20gb of it free.

FYI I have Vista Beta 2 Home Premium installed with etrust antivirus and it is 14.8gb

Is that 14.8gb for your windows folder or for your entire partition.. Because All I was talking about was my windows folder for 5384..And right now mine is at 6.7gb for Home Premium.

Sorry, my F*** up, Just got rid of the Windows.old folder Vista makes when installing over the top of an old OS instead of an upgrade and it's just 9.4gb

Try checking your e-mails at Windows Live Mail (hotmail). If you registered for Windows Vista Beta 2 at The Beta Experience Web-site (same page where you had to register for Office 2007 Beta 2 Release) You should have (or should be getting soon) something from "service@microsoft.com", with the followin content:

Mhmm, I just got that email too!

Great :)

Now just wait for the links to go live and you're set. A few steps now from playing with your own Vista Beta 2. Sounds cool doesn't it :)

I had it installed already I could use my new key to install it in a few more PCs I'm working on for Test purposes :|
