Lost - Season Three

-Are we sure it's Henry with the tumor? Didn't Jack say it was a 40-year old man?-I would have thought Henry to be around 50. In the trailer, it shows Henry when Jack says that about dying if the tumor isn't removed, but you don't really know for sure if he is talking to him. Also, it's kind of weird to me that the island would heal Rose's tumor but not another persons.

-I am also curious to know who the new girl is in the upcoming trailer? Is she just one of the extras that is getting some screen time now?

-I also wondered if the guy with the patch might be from a recorded video of the guy who was originally in the hatch with Kelvin...the one that supposedly killed himself.

-Lastly, I wonder if they really even need Kate for anything. The only use I can see her for is to basically control Sawyer and Jack. Because they will do pretty much anything they can to protect her.

Anyone know how long the show is going to last? While I still think it's one of the better shows on TV, I'm starting to lose interest slowly as the season progresses. Hoping we're not heading into Alias terrority. I would much rather see the show end on a sorta high note.

yes i agree... producers have to be careful which direction they take the show now incase it becomes a bit tedious. Another season after this one would probably be on the cards, then i dunno :shifty:

Ratings are still relatively high 9.0 or 10 :)

Good episode, the Desmond foreseeing the future bit is interesting, could the island have given him the ability to do this just like it gave Locke the ability to walk again?

Something else I noticed that may be trivial was when Jack tried to announce the time of death he couldn't find a clock and the second (prison) island doesn't have any substantial medical equipment (no defib machine) but does have an x-ray machine somewhere.

Also Ben quotes Of Mice and Men and says something along the lines of 'when a man doesn't have anyone he gets sick'. And it seems like Ben is the one with the large tumor near his spine.

I'm pretty sure I read in EW that two new characters would become regulars. One of them being the girl you're referring to - the other is that guy that was hitting the golf balls into the ocean

a question about next week,

seems a series regular is going to bite the dust, any news if its going to be one of the others or the losties? i hope its not sayid

Yep

In the promo you see Eko get something in the head and also he hasnt been called back for episodes 6,7,8 so its more likely to be him

whos the new chick in the promo shes hott. and looks like

mr. ecko.....

dies in the next episode from looking at that promo. which characters flashbacks is the next one?

She not that Hot, and it's Eko's Flashback

hasnt been called back for episodes 6,7,8

Where/How do you find out about which actors are called back?

I read that on another blog that he wasnt mentioned on the cast list for those episodes while all the other regulars were.

But Locke wasn't in last week's cast, doesn't mean he's not coming back.

I just dont' think they'd forecast Eko's death so blatantly in the promo. Besides, it looks like the knife misses anyway.

Well of course its not confirmed :D

Heres the Site I got it from Tailsection

Next week, a major character (as in a series regular) whose name is not Sawyer will join Boone, Shannon, Ana Lucia and Libby in the big island in the sky. And you're not going to believe who it is. I won't believe it until I see it with my own eyes.

Here is the evidence:

1 - A source close to Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje says he has not been in Hawaii for several weeks. LOST crews are currently filming episodes for after the break.

2 - Adewale is scheduled to appear on Regis after the episode airs. The tried and true resting place for LOST deceased.

3 - Adewale got a ticket for driving without a license and being rude to a cop. Everybody knows if you have a run in with the law your off LOST.

4 - Access Hollywood learned from an indirect incounter with Adewale (see here) that a major twist was coming in Eko's story.

5 - Anybody who head-butts Locke deserves to die. (Okay that is just my personal opinion... the rest is true.)

So let me be the first to say I'm absolutely convinced this is a fact and goodbye mr. Eko.

Something else I noticed that may be trivial was when Jack tried to announce the time of death he couldn't find a clock and the second (prison) island doesn't have any substantial medical equipment (no defib machine) but does have an x-ray machine somewhere.

they had a defib machine, she said it was broke if i remember right.

After watch the last night ep I was wondering what happend with this show... Maybe they had a plan that this might last 2 seasons max and seems like they see the success and try to make the show last until the rating goes to the hell.

What happend with this group of people that survive an aircrash (noone knows how but they did) and then they were trying to survive on the island that seems to be not like another deserted island in the middle of the ocean. Yea, with some mysteries, a guy living in a hole for 2 years, etc. All the stuff we already know.

Now this show become in nothing but death and (psychological) torture. What are those people? Nothing but an excuse to make the show last a lil more. And seems the only way to 'survive' is make the others some kind of... <insert your prefered word here>

When ends this ep I laught, becuase seems like everyones was in jail!. And now they are. Again.

I seriously hope after watch the Locke ep that this would back to the beginning, where, at least has some sence. Now seems like 'the others' needs more attention (and this is because the french woman (that was living in that island for 15 years!) name them as an excuse to make yet dilemma)

bah

I loved the last episode. It was nice for Sawyer to give the money to his daughter in the end, so he does had a softer side :). I would so want him and Kate to get together (anyone got some sexeh half naked pics of Kate from the last episode?).

Next week's looks quite good, although I hope Eko does not die. Although he probably will because he is to similar to Locke.

don't think they'll kill him off, after Anna it might look like a racial thing.

So what do people think who that person is on the Pearl monitor? Radzinsky? Kelvin? Marvin?

I reckon its Radzinsky in the arrow station.

Edited by Peewee210

I mentioned on my blog that I think its Radzinsky...to much adds up...Glass eye was found in Arrow with Bible that had a bit of the Swan film in it and I just think Kelvin said he was dead because he was embarassed that he left him to press the button...also look closely there are recording devices and we were told we would see the Flame station...this could be it.

Also Kelvin told Desmond that Radzinsky made "edits" on the Swan film and those edits were found by Mr Eko in the arrow station. So what you said as well Rappy, it must be him.

    • EA launches in-game advertising platform for brands to "connect with audiences" by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The gaming giant Electronic Arts is exploring more ways to inject real-life brands into its games. Announced today as EA Advertising, the new platform is attempting to make it easier for brands to reach out for deals with the company and put their products inside titles like EA Sports FC, Madden, NHL, Skate, or The Sims. EA revealed that its EA Sports side of the company brings in "hundreds of millions of players across console, PC, and mobile" every year. Fan engagement of these titles was also touted as being "extraordinary," with 23,000 NFL seasons worth of games being played in Madden NFL daily, while EA Sports FC sees over a billion matches a day. “Players come to EA’s games and live experiences every day to play, watch, create and connect,” said David Tinson, Chief Experiences Officer at Electronic Arts. “That gives brands a meaningful opportunity to show up in ways that add value and respect the player experience, while maintaining authenticity in the worlds our teams are building. With EA Advertising, we’re helping brands become part of those moments in ways that are relevant and built for players.” Using the new program EA Advertising, brands will be able to inject their products into games in real-time via dynamic placement. EA says partners will have access to everything from stadium signage in sports games and targeted adverts to in-game content custom-made for the brands. These are described as additions designed to "enhance, not disrupt" experiences. "In these interactive gameplay environments, brands become part of the game itself, reflecting how players engage with advertising in real-world contexts," adds the company "Brands can activate across live environments, tailoring placements to meet campaign objectives, and update campaigns with ongoing optimization informed by aggregated engagement insights." Current real-world brand partnerships EA has built into its games include Visa (EA Sports FC and College Football), Lowe's (EA Sports FC, Madden NFL, and College Football), Red Bull (EA SPORTS FC), Xfinity and Peacock (EA SPORTS FC), and Mountain Dew’s (College Football).

    • UK to ban under-16s from social media following a six-week trial with teenagers by Paul Hill Credit: Pexels A few months ago, Neowin reported that the UK was trialing a social media ban with 300 teenagers for six weeks, that testing has come to an end, and Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced that the country will ban under-16s from social media. Starmer said that this technology is making children unhappy and making it easier for bullies to harass and abuse them. He continued to talk about the addictive nature of social media, saying that it uses an infinite scroll designed to lock users in for hours. He said this interferes with children doing their homework, reading, playing with friends outside, and going to bed on time. Tackling the idea that nothing can be done about social media, Starmer said: The government’s action won’t stop at social media either, the PM said. It plans to take action on gaming services and livestreaming platforms. Right now, he said, strangers can contact any child unchecked. He said this wouldn’t happen in real life, and the government is going to stop it from happening online, too. The Labour government has overseen the introduction of the Online Safety Act, a big change to the internet which includes age verification on adult websites. This has led to a fair bit of backlash, but overall, the government is pushing ahead with these changes.
