The Hanso foundation is a flash based site, as have all the others that are part of the Lost ARG, and they look professional. This looks like a 5 minute job by a 10 year old.

http://www.widmoregroup.com/privacy.htm

View the source for this page, it isn't standards compliant.. the ARG sites are done by a professional company, and finally, why would Widmore link to Oceanic.. the only site it should have been linking to is the Hanso foundation, since theres apparently a link between the two, not a stupid airline that accidentally crashed on 'their' island.

Follow the Lost ARG on the 48121562342.com site, they have a list of all the official sites there.

Computer Guru:

Get out this thread and never come back! Bad mouthing beautiful Kate! Be ashamed young man

Ok, I have two questions from the first episode that I still can't figure out.

When they're arguing over the book, is the guy in the glasses called ben as well? Cos they refer to ben not liking the book and then Juliet says "silly me for picking a book you wouldn't like"

Second question is.. do we understand what Ben meant by being out of the book club? I couldn't quite figure out what he meant by it. :s

I kinda get the impression that Ben is just in the book club to kill time.. but Juliet doesn't want him there.. so she picks a book he wouldn't want to read... and then Ben says hes out of the book club cos hes got something new to do? Anyone care to agree? :)

Well that didn't make much sense. Regardless, widmoregroup.com is not an official Lost site. Nor is it a fan-site that simply discusses the show, like rappy's blog. It is a 'fake' site that tries to pass itself off as one of the official Lost sites. However, it's not, so none of the information on the site is canon, and therefore it's all pointless.

Look at their privacy page:

The episode ana lucia died, was an ana lucia flashback. When Shannon died, it was her flashback too. Whose flashback was it when boone died?

Next episode is Mr Eko's and somebody is supposed to die... so...

for Boone, it was jacks

this week i think eko may be the next to go....

evangelinelilly388np0.th.jpg

hmm, the other day i had a link to some hi-res evangeline lilly shots, and i thought i got it from this thread, but i can't find it again, so i was probably mistaken.

I'm pretty sure it was a photo shoot, she was in a brown bikini i think, and the images were large, good for backgrounds :)

does anyone have a link for the shots i'm talking about?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I can't take it any more!! *breaks down*

Confession: she's hot.

In Denial: Juliet's hotter. Monica Dean > all.

@nellydoom: what do you think that spanish poster is? :p

I think "Media Room" needs to be members only :p

*damn you Rappy!

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
