Lost - Season Three

Recommended Posts

Episode 16 of season 3 just finished airing.

My thoughts... interesting....

I really hope this is the last season to be honest. I love the show, but it doesn't have anywhere to really go anymore. They need to wrap up the "sickness" the "others" and the "smoke thing in the woods" plot lines in the next 4 episodes. I don't think I'd be interested in a season 4 if they make these plot lines draw out anymore. I don't see how they can attract any new audiences. If they can finish the story by the end of season 3 then I will continue to have a high opinion of the show. If they draw it out I dunno what I will think.

show is finally back on track

lol....you gotta be kidding me....

do people not read the thread...

that is a link to the American ABC promo...not the Canadian CTV promo....

I just watched the episode again, and finally i got what juliet and ben was talking about in the last scene, i thought it dated back to an earlier event, but i realized it was recent. best of all, i LOVED how ben said "see you in a week", its like hes telling us. oh how manipulative is that!

Loved that episode, many many answers. Great to go back to the Flame and see everything working, amazing how they could get info like that, shame now...

Sawyer's quote "Well if it ain't 3 men and a baby...i counted Hugo twice"

Upcoming Promo Stills - Questions - Very interesting...oh yes, it is the US ABC Promo.

Rather obvious what happens next:

Juliet is sent to spy on them to do something....

She falls in love with Jack and begins to empathize with the Losties.

She betrays Ben & Others...

yadadada

Good show.. .the trailer looks promising too :)

see you in a week!!!!! what do you think is going to happen in a week? is that the season finale or will it be before that?

No. 5 more episodes, then the Season Finale.

It bothers me that with all that we have seen of her past she is still apparantly a traitor. Seeing all we have seen, I am convinced she is a good person... but it is possible she isn't. If she is in fact going to turn complete traitor they will need a pretty good explanation because it just doesn't make sense. Either way, fantastic episode and Juliet is a great character.

She's a good person who wants to go home and be with her sister. She's doing what she has to-to get off the island, just as Jack did. Is Jack a traitor because he saved Ben's life? No, he's just someone who wants to go home, no different than Juliet.

And if she turns on them (them being the survivors of Flight 815), which she most likely will, she already has a good explanation: she wants to go home. What better explanation is there than that?

All due with respect, if you don't want to watch it, don't!

However, many of us still believe in this show and Season 4 will Rock!

The only way to find out how great it will be is to keep watch it.

A lot of us DON'T watch the show just for answers. We watch it for Character (Developments), and believe me, in this area LOST is AWESOME!!!

Most TV shows on TV are Not better than Lost, I watch "Friday Night Lights", or "CSI" I YAWNED!!!

However, I CAN Understand that many people Enjoy those, though!

But I Never YAWN with Lost... NEVER!!!

So, if any of youbegin to get bored of this show already, maybe you shouldn't watch Season 4.

I am NOT yawning, so I am still wanting MORE Lost and very much look forward to S4!

I DON'T want to hear compliants about the show now, when it's just a couple people that Want ONLY answers from this show, but don't appreciate how GOOD the character developments are with this show!

i only have to say: "that bitch!"

14) Ardil-22 is Portuguese for Catch-22 the title of the next episode. The men in the Artic Monitoring Station that phoned Penny were Portuguese

they were not portuguese!!!!!!! they were brazillian

no one on portugal speaks like that and it's very similar to brazillian...

since season2 finale people have been discussing this and yet it's so obvious

i only have to say: "that bitch!"

But don't they speak portuguese in Brazil?

Another great episode. I'm telling you, this seasons is awesome and only getting better. They realized how much they screwed up with the middle of season two. So far, this season has delivered far more good than bad.

Ahhh it's great to be a Lost fan :D

Looks like it, which is weird a) Why would Sawyer hit Locke? (maybe because Jack said Locke went of with the others?) b) Locke isn't supposed to appear till episode 19, or is it a preview that has mixed episodes in it (episodes 17,18 and 19)

see you in a week!!!!! what do you think is going to happen in a week? is that the season finale or will it be before that?

my guess is that because there are 7 episodes left.. each one will be a new day until the end of the week. So the finale will actually be the next week.

    • I'm still on Windows 10 22H2 because I didn't want to deal with all the issues in Windows 11, so I waited almost a week before installing the latest Patch Tuesday update (KB5094127), I went ahead and did it, and it was a huge mistake—ever since then, my File Explorer has seen a performance drop of about 30% when transferring large files... Once again, Microsoft has outdone itself! This update cannot be uninstalled, either through the Control Panel (via Settings) or by accessing Advanced Startup Options. The only possible alternative would be to use system restore points, but I’d have to reinstall all app and driver updates (and there’s no guarantee it would work). Or there’s the “nuclear option” of a in-place repair without losing files or apps, but even then, all my customizations would be lost! Microsoft just can’t help but mess everything up! Way to go, Microsoft! But I still don’t want your c****y Windows 11!
    • Microsoft: Windows 11 could finally solve a major issue across AMD, Nvidia, and Intel GPUs by Sayan Sen While Microsoft has been trying to improve it, Windows 11 is definitely not flawless, as even today some issues are taking a year to publicly acknowledge. However, one area of trouble that may finally see much better results soon is graphics driver crashes. Work on graphics driver timeouts, also called Timeout and Detection Recovery (TDR), is not new as the latest WDDM 3.2 also has specific improvements regarding it. Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) version 3.2 is supported on Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2. However, with the upcoming version 26H2, TDR crash diagnosis could go to the next level as Microsoft is introducing a new DirectX 12 API feature called "DirectX Dump Files". Similar to how system memory dump files work when a system crashes or freezes or encounters any such major issue, DirectX Dump Files (DDF) will essentially record a snapshot of the GPU execution right at the moment a graphics-related crash or hang or freeze occurs, so that developers can better understand and diagnoze these TDR and timeout detection errors. The dump will be available as a .dxdmp file for analysis and it will be a comprehensive dump file generated with detailed insights about the hardware, drivers, Windows, as well as the affected application. This should be another welcome change in this department. Earlier at GDC 2026, when the technology was first debuted, Microsoft had shared more details regarding it. The company had explained how DDF is designed to gather data from every layer of the graphics stack into a single file, eliminating the need for developers to manually correlate logs from multiple tools. As mentioned above, the dump can contain a lot of useful details like GPU hardware state information such as register values, shader program counters, page fault virtual addresses, shader memory data, and command buffers. Alongside that, it also captures DirectX runtime and kernel information, including D3D objects, pipeline state objects, device error data, adapter details, and CPU call stacks. Microsoft says the feature has been built around two primary use cases: retail device removals and local device removals. The former allows developers to collect crash information from end users' systems in the field, while the latter helps QA teams and developers investigate issues on test machines. Developers will also be able to include up to 2 MB of custom application data through new D3D12 APIs, providing additional context for troubleshooting. In addition, Microsoft is introducing three dump collection modes ranging from zero-overhead capture, which has no runtime performance impact on supported hardware, to higher-detail modes that collect more vendor-specific debugging data. On compatible Tier 2 hardware, zero-overhead dumps will be enabled by default, meaning developers may begin receiving useful crash diagnostics without making any code changes. The table below explains the three tiers: Tier Description NO_OVERHEAD Enables crash capture with no runtime cost and is suitable for broad deployment MEDIUM_OVERHEAD Provides a balance, capturing additional diagnostic data with moderate impact HIGH_OVERHEAD Collects the most detailed GPU and driver state available, enabling deeper investigation at the cost of higher runtime overhead In terms of availability, the company expects broader release to be around the fall of 2026, which should be right around the time when Windows 11 version 26H2 lands. Right now, DirectX Dump Files are available as a preview and currently, only AMD has the compatible AgilitySDK Developer Preview driver version 26.10.07.02. You can find the official announcement post here on Microsoft's website.
