Lost - Season Three

Wow - nice episode!

I really think that was on-par with Season 1... No real answers, but BEAUTIFL script, and awesome hints.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that Juliet is on the level with them - she seemed sincere with the handcuffs.. It would be awesome if she would join them.

So I guess the Others aren't involved with the monsters on the Island - if Juliet is to be trusted.

But then - what ARE they doing on the island if they don't have anything to do with the weird stuff!?!

I just watched the promo - looks good.

I've beating myself on the head why they have to be so thick and never ask for answers - it seems Saeed is once more coming to the rescue.

Completely agree with you. In fact I was thinking last night how nice it was to have one of episodes. It really felt like Season 1 when they were showing how happy everyone was because of Sawyer. Very nice touch, very feel good episode.

Clearly Sawyer is the one who conned that girl, and she is pregnant with his kid.

Pretty good ep, but I guess we didn't really learn anything new... Something is weird with Juliet. I think it's a setup.

What the hell was with the flashes of light from smokey? That was....different.

Nothing new?

Sawyer has a kid out there somewhere.

If Juliet is to be believed, the Others really don't know what the monster is either. They probably didn't build the fence either, they simply use it for protection.

If that's true, than either Ben knows what the monster is and is hiding something or that really is Locke's dad.

Locke went with the Others when they left the town, and will likely take up a role of some importance among them, considering his 'connection' with the island. I wouldn't be surprised if he become's Lost's "Tetsuo" (Akira reference there)

Juliet really did get left behind. Think about it, there's no reason to do all this just to infiltrate the survivor's camp. They already know everything about everyone and could easily work surveillance from without.

We knew about Sawyer's kid already from the earlier episode (mentioned above).

I wonder if Locke is being groomed to take over for Ben, since Ben can't walk any longer. Maybe, just a guess. This season has been great though, very exciting and fun to watch.

I maintain that something is weird with Juliet. She's never been honest, ever, so I won't start being it just yet. I'd rather see Jack and Kate, ...call me a hopeless romantic or something

The flashes smokey did to Juliet, I don't recall it being the same as what happened to Eko. There were flashes within the smoke, but Eko saw images while Juliet was experiencing a paparazzi bonanza.

Of course, I could be wrong about Eko's experience with smokey.

What happened to John Locke? He was acting really weird and we haven't seen much of him since Ben showed us his father... I wonder what's up...

John is so odd that he actually irritates me

My issue with Jack and Juliet is that Juliet is far too good at lying, so we really have no idea what actually is the truth about her or what she does. Kate is much more transparent, she f'ed up, she is sorry for it, and she apologized. Perhaps I am over analyzing Kate, but she seems less "perfect" than Juliet and I think that is what draws me to her...she seems more human.

Yeah they were within the smoke for Eko but as it was Dark it seemed more poignant dont forget when it happened to Eko it was during the day...

Ok now for some stuff you may of not noticed...

Smokey Takes 3 Forms

post-15395-1175805993_thumb.jpg

Smokey returns in Episode 3x15, "Left Behind". This time, Smokey is chasing after Kate and Juliet. In an encounter with the two, Smokey does something we really haven't seen to date. He flashes bright lights in Juliet's face. This seems different than the scanning we saw with Eko.

Also, when Smokey appears at the fence, we see Smokey emerge from several pieces that join together to form one big smokey. When Smokey runs away, he appears to break into two pieces.

Interestingly, as Smokey approaches the fence, there are three large "heads" that are very noticeable. Could this be confirmation that Smokey is indeed the "Cerberus" mentioned on the Blast Door Map? Is it possible that Smokey is comprised of three separate entities that are capable of joining together, or working independently. Could this explain why sometimes we hear the clackety-clak noises of a roller coaster when Smokey appears, and sometimes we don't?

What do you think?

Gas Canister

Interestingly enough the gas canister used had a website and it seems the company is genuine so the question remains where did the others get military equipment...

Visit the makers site :)

Senator Forms Subcommittee For The Watching Of Lost

April 3, 2007 | Issue 43•14

WASHINGTON, DC—Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) announced the formation of a new Senate subcommittee for the Watching of Lost and appointed himself its chair Monday.

"This subcommittee's mission is to promote viewing and discussion of this riveting ABC series every Wednesday night at my house," said Nelson, who lives alone, adding that membership on the subcommittee is open to both parties, requires no seniority, and is "fun." "In addition, I have been able to secure funding for two large pizzas and one two-liter bottle of Pepsi, and have every confidence that I can acquire more."

Sen. Nelson has asked all attendees to arrive on time, do their best to remain quiet during the show's airing, and stick around to discuss the plot and backstory for "as long as you want afterward."

I thought this was pretty funny. Also nice to see lost getting some Onion publicity!

This is such bull****.

Juliette: I know his birthday, who his parents are, who his wife was bla bla bla bla bla

Kate: You win this round.

What about asking how she knows all about Jack? Noooooo, that doesn't cross a normal person's mind. **** that. If I were in her position, I wouldn't put her shoulder back in until I got some damn answers.

She should said: "B*tch you should know all of that, you're psycho stalker"

The tension between the two of them would so intentionally obvious.

I was hoping they were gonna mud wrestle but smokey spoilt the party

    • Microsoft fixes one of Excel Copilot's most frustrating limitations by Usama Jawad Microsoft began integrating Copilot into Excel a couple of years ago and has been upgrading it with new functionalities since then. While some changes have been controversial, Microsoft is hoping to win over users by allowing them to be more productive via Copilot. To that end, it has now announced a Copilot improvement that may actually be appreciated by people who use it regularly. Excel customers often use the Copilot prompt box to issue instructions to format and customize their data, but it can become quite tiring to keep repeating the same instructions again and again. Microsoft now allows you to define Copilot personalization rules for formatting, naming conventions, formulas, and report styles. These can be accessed via Settings > Personalization, where you can explain your rules in natural language like "Always format currency in USD with no decimals", and just let Copilot take care of the rest. Microsoft is going a step further in this direction by allowing you to set workbook rules too. These rules are stored as a .Rules sheet, and are preserved while the workbook is shared. This fosters collaboration while making sure that standard rules govern the Copilot editing experience across the organization. Other advantages of this capability include pointing it to specific examples, defining dynamic formulas, and referencing an entire sheet and asking Copilot to infer rules based on that. You can leverage this feature by opening Copilot in Excel, clicking on "+", and selecting Create workbook rules. If you have an existing .Rules sheet, you can simply start listing the rules in column A as well. Personalization features are available to all Copilot in Excel users across the web, Mac, and Windows. Meanwhile, workbook rules are currently being previewed for Windows and Mac customers on the Insiders channel. General availability is scheduled after a few weeks, but a concrete date is currently unknown. Overall, the Excel capability is quite similar to ChatGPT's memory features, which allow you to permanently store items in the AI model's context window.
    • Imagine you still haven't discovered Total Commander that is doing all those things for three decades already...
    • This sounds like underneath the nice marketing spin, either someone at Adobe got tired of their lazy devs and asked Microsoft to help them sort at least some of Adobe's ancestral spaghetti code to make it go faster, or Microsoft wanted Adobe's crap to run better on Windows to make it look better when compared to Apple, so they offered to intervene. Either way, GOOD.
    • My favorite file manager for Windows 11 finally gets a long-requested feature by Taras Buria Files is among the best File Explorer alternatives for Windows 10 and 11. This free app is packed with all sorts of features and conveniences, but there is one crucial feature that is still missing—Tree View. Fortunately, the latest update in the Preview channel finally delivers it. With version 4.1.4, which is now available for download in the Preview channel, developers implemented Tree View, a new mode that displays folders in an expandable hierarchy. Windows 11's stock File Explorer always had this feature, but it was nowhere to be found in Files until now. Starting with the latest preview update, you can expand each drive and its nested folders without leaving the current location and then open the folder you need in the main view. To try Tree View in Files, update the app to the latest preview version, then click the small arrow next to a drive to expand its content. The developers say they are rolling out Tree View in Preview first to gather feedback from users and improve the feature before bringing it to all in the stable channel. In addition to Tree View, Files 4.1.14 improves the Windows Fonts folder. You can now preview each font directly in Files with no need to open the built-in font viewer. For now, these two features are only available in the Preview channel. For those using the stable release, developers recently released version 4.1.3, with improvements for the built-in tag system, on-demand folder size calculation, and plenty of various fixes. You can check out the full release notes here. You can download Files from the Microsoft Store (paid version) or its official website (free).
    • Who is paying for this 30x scale-up? Its sounds expensive.
