Rappy Veteran Posted May 26, 2007 Veteran Share Posted May 26, 2007 What I got from it. - Kate and Jack get off the island - Kate isn't with Jack - The islanders aren't famous upon return - They have free flights, which leads us to assume Dharma gave them things to keep quiet, not that they'd be believed anyway - Jack goes to an islanders funeral, so we assume others get off the island to (I assume its an islander, why else would he be so bothered) - The others are significantly reduced in numbers Honestly without some sort of cliff hangar it was really pointless and not as great as I was expecting. Lame in all honesty. I really think next season the number of others will increase because the Losties led by Locke will attack the people from the Freighter...it has to happen...they can't just arrive and thats it... azz0r_wugg
What are you talking about. That was one of the greatest cliff hangers in the history of television. Care to explain what the cliff hangar is? Will or will not the freighter arrive or will the island be purged? Major meh. Rob2687
I don't think there's much doubt whether the freighter will arrive. It's the consequences of it's arrival that will set the stage for how the remaining 3 seasons play out. +Peewee210 Subscriber¹ Posted May 26, 2007 Subscriber¹ Share Posted May 26, 2007 No , i believe next season losties + others join. No i don't think so. Ben gave Jack a last chance not to answer the phone and he did which will cause hell to the island. Chances are Jack asks for Ben's help and he will look the other way. I reckon Locke will be a big part of the others next season. Like this from the link above. You're a ****** for killing Charlie. Lame in all honesty. Uh. You missed a lot. Kate and Jack get off the island Correct Kate isn't with Jack Correct - The islanders aren't famous upon return False. Jack is clearly a famous person, as evidenced by people calling him a hero twice over. Once is saving the people on the island, the other is pulling the mother and son from the car crash. They have free flights, which leads us to assume Dharma gave them things to keep quiet, not that they'd be believed anyway Not Dharma, Oceanic. Oceanic gave them the golden passes. Jack goes to an islanders funeral, so we assume others get off the island to (I assume its an islander, why else would he be so bothered) We know it is someone both Kate and Jack knew, so it could be someone from 815, an Other, someone from the freighter, or someone else. We don't know. The others are significantly reduced in numbers They lost all 12? people they sent to the beach, plus the women in TLG. We don't know how many of them there are to make a guess as to how significant losing 14 people is. Honestly without some sort of cliff hangar it was really pointless and not as great as I was expecting. Lame in all honesty. No cliffhangers? -Who is on the boat? -Can Desmond stop the 815ers from going to the boat? -Why does Jack think they need to go back to the island in the flash forward? And those are simply the major plot points. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/489159-lost-season-three/page/168/#findComment-588583065 Share on other sites

I say Mikhail comes back, he isn't dead IMO. Walt isn't Walt, he is a vision created by the smoke monster like what Walt and Christian has been to Shannon, Sayid, and Jack. My personal belief is that The smoke monster is either Jacob himself or at least controlled by Jacob. Locke will find a way to free Ben and they team up together, but this time Locke is in charge of the Others. Pallab
The problem with gimmick show's like lost is that once the gimmick is revealed most people will be really disappointed in the ending. Things I hate about the show: To many questions and lame premises that go nowhere, the numbers, the hatch, the black smoke, the others, the big foot statue with 4 toes, etc. I'm pretty sure most viewers will be really disappointed with the ending. The hatch has been dealt with. The story did go somewhere with the hatch. We found out why the plane crashed, we found desmond, we learned that the island posses' strange magnetic properties. The significance of the numbers was explained (at least partially) during LOST Experience. They are the core values of the Valenzetti Equation. It has already been stated that Statue with 4 Toes would be dealt with in future - I believe in S4. The Smoke Monster is one of the central mysteries of the island. Obviously it cant be explained so early. Then there would be nothing to watch the show for. Lqv2015
Right, there are a great many things that the Others know about the Losties that is not on record, as you've noted. I think, for the most part, things will be explained logically, but I highly doubt everything can be. Connections can be fate, but knowing things that no one should know, that's something else. And the plan crashing with around 50 survivors? Yeah...Still, I look past that because there's more than the natural going on in the show, which is why I'm so intrigued by and into it. Thanks for sharing. Kind of funny no one on the cast knew how the episode was going to turn out. You can also put the numbers in there. Why is it link to Hurley? And Hurley's connection with Libby. episode
You can also put the numbers in there. Why is it link to Hurley? And Hurley's connection with Libby. All of those were explained. The numbers are from the Valenzetti equation, which a patient named Leonard in Hurley's mental hospital kept repeating over and over and over. Leonard was in the Navy, and one night heard a transmission of the numbers repeating over and over. Libby was also a patient at the hospital at the same time as Hurley, thats how they know each other. Leonard article: http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Leonard On another note, I haven't seen this posted here: Jack's flash forwards take place on April 5th 2007, as the paper he reads is that days edition of the LA Times. http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Newspaper_clipping Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/489159-lost-season-three/page/168/#findComment-588583397 Share on other sites

Can we trust that the LA Times is telling the truth? Meh, I won't fret over it. Some will question the authenticity of the LA Times' claim. If this is true, then it is two and a half years after flight 815 crashed, and closer to two years after they were rescued. So yeah, it's been quite a while since they left and Jack desperately wants to go back, and can't, adding to his unstable mentality.
