Lost - Season Three

Desmond's Guilt

"Damon Lindelof tells me, "Desmond will have to deal with the aftereffects and the guilt of [Charlie's death]. He will question whether or not Charlie would have made this sacrifice, had he not told him that was what he was going to do? He will question the role he played in Charlie's death." So, it sounds like big sexy Dezzie is haunted by Charlie's passing, as many of us fans are!"

I've been waiting three years now for some answers and I was really hoping the finale would reveal some of these answers, instead it asked more questions. Can someone please help me with these questions, speculate if you will, i just need something to chew on until next season.

1. Who are the others and what are they doing?

2. Why was Dharma there?

3. Why did the 'other' who recruited Ben as a kid not age after 20 years?

4. How the hell did Walt get back?

5. Why can Locke walk?

6. Where the hell did those polar bears come from in the earlier seasons?

7. Who or what is Jacob?

Thanks for posting :)

Glad I never read the spoilers :p

Yeah, it makes the episodes so much more interesting :D

From Season 4 its spoiler free :D

Sure

1. Most of the others are Natives or people recruited by them to do the Islands duties and a few are ex Dharma members.

2. To explore the Islands unique properties because there was stuff there you could find nowhere else on Earth.

3. That could also be credited to the Islands unique environment because as they were born there they don't age or get hurt...but thats just speculation at the moment.

4. Walt didnt get back that was Smokey or Jacob projecting himself to Locke to spur him on like motivate him.

5. Again credited to the islands healing ability which we have seen in action a few times...

6. Ex Dharma experiments that went bad so they were released on the Island and the reason they can live there is because they were bred on the Island possibly at the Hydra Station or another unknown Station.

7. Jacob is quite possibly a native that has special powers or was the leader of the Natives till he died but so far noone knows and we won't know till Season 4.

4. Walt didnt get back that was Smokey or Jacob projecting himself to Locke to spur him on like motivate him.

Did Michael say something in an early flashback about Walt being 'in two places at once'? I've heard speculation that Michael has the ability to project himself to another place.

who knows, just something i read.

Well its all part of his ability it seems Shannon and Sayid saw him even tho he was somewhere else...but you just never know it could be smokey or Jacob...thats an answer we need...

^ I'm predicting we will find out episode 1 of season 4 :)

I doubt it. I mean it would be nice, but seeing that the writers don't mind putting a subplot like that aside for a long while (e.g. four toed statue), I wouldn't be surprised if it was much longer down the road.

Yeah the statue plot is a thing I want to find out about but I think it will be heavily tied into the Temple that the others were going to...

I thought last week's episode with Desmond was kind of boring. I mean, the 'camping' trip was cute, but quite a shocker with the parachutist!

This episode was great! Mikhail is alive! I think Sun's baby will change the whole dynamic of the island, and I'm happy it's Jin's kid.

The freaky part is that the parachutist said that "She is not alone" although Mikhail pretended that she just said 'Thank-you'. Where are her friends?

The best part of this episode was when Juliet said "I hate you" at the end. Who will she betray? The 'Losties' Or the 'Others'? I can't wait until next week!

Question: Any Lost scoop yet?? Susanb>

Ausiello: How 'bout a Lost tip instead: If you haven't already done so, get thee a ticket to next month's San Diego Comic-Con. And quick. At the Promax convention last week, Team Darlton announced that they will be breaking radio silence about the Season 4 finale at the annual geekfest. "At Comic-Con we will for the first time discuss the events of the finale," Carlton Cuse said. To tide us over until then, Cuse offered this ambiguous tease: "Lost is like a mosaic, and there are 48 tiles left to go in the mosaic. And up until this season, you saw the present island, and you saw the past. And now you?ve seen the future. So when all the tiles are in place, the picture of Lost will be complete." (I warned ya it was ambiguous.) Damon Lindelof chimed in, "The fact that people are saying, 'What is the show going to be next year?' is really exciting for us. People are going, 'Are there going to be flashbacks? Flash forwards? Is it going to be [set] off the island? On the island? Where in time will it be?'" Answers are (hopefully) coming at Comic-Con! Speaking of which, are we all gonna meet up at the Corvette Diner this year or what? Onion rings are on meRumor: Lost producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse will maintain radio silence about last month's mind-blowing finale until sometime next year.

Fiction. They'll be talking about it much, much sooner. (I'll tell you exactly when they'll be spilling the beans in next week's Ask Ausiello.)

I hope they don't give away to much. It would be nice not to get online and be bombarded with spoilers about season four when we're still 7 months out.

Yeah I hope there isn't loads of spoilers but I doubt they will reveal anything concrete yet...

What I just noticed was when Locke was threatening Jack by not making that call, Locke could've shoot the phone.

Locke already shot at it once and by the time he could've shot again, the phone was in Jack's hand. I mentioned before how Locke was unable to kill people before arriving on the island, but something happened between him seeing Walt and him confronting Jack to where he is now capable of killing, but only bad people like Naomi. This means Jack is a good guy that Locke doesn't want to harm.
