Lost - Season Three

Recommended Posts

Thanks :D

You can see a women lying on the floor, its gotta be Libby? From Lostpedia: It was Day 49 when Paulo overheard Ben say that he would use Michael to lure Jack, Kate and Sawyer to him. When Michael first made contact with Walt on the hatch computer it was also Day 49

No kidding. The first season was way better than what we have now!

In my opinion Season 3 is shaping up really nicely. I am one of those very rare people who liked S2 more than S1.

In s1 we had no idea about the island, thats why it seemed to be more fast paced and better.

S3 is extremely gripping.

Expose was one hell of an episode.

Btw, is there any chance that Nikki would survive. I would hate to see someone buried alive.

With this two we dont know (and seem they were well intergrated to the group. Bah, thats at least that the retard who wrote this try to make us to believe) and hate.

Well, all along we have been told that there are more people in the group than those 10 or 15 that we are shown. Nikki and Paulo were two of them - they werent shown before as they were never a part of the main group.

In another hand, instead of an airport, the others have a Submarine!!. But they want the Desmond boat. I can see the logic. Yeah, they want that boat to cross from island to island.

Its more like, they didnt want the Losties to have the boat. it would have allowed them to take a look around the island. They would have then discovered the camps and more.

What the hell? they found the plane and the swan and the lake before everyone else?

They didnt find the lake, they were told about it by Kate.

Also, other than Locke, I dont think other Losties really tried to explore the island in the beginning. They tried to be around beaches as much as possible. On othe other hand they were actively moving around the island trying to find the diamonds.

Paulo doesn’t say anything??? to anyone??? he knew about the plane, the monitoring station, others on the island, their plan to get jack by way of michael. come on. he just keeps this to himself?

Again very plausible. He was trying to hide something. He had hid it in the station. So, the last thing he would do is tell other Losties about the station. He was nervous, and its natural that he wouldnt want more attention at that time. We have seen that he isnt a guy with high morals earlier.

Yes, it was a filler, in the sense it didnt do a lot to carry the story forward. But, it was entertaining at the very least. People should be able to enjoy entertaining and gripping episodes, even if they dont have answers. Actually, this did answer one question - the others are indeed aware of the hatches.

Special thanks to Ryan for pointing this out! Ryan alerted me to a play called Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead, which chronicles the lives of two characters played out against the backdrop of events from Shakespeare's Hamlet.

In Hamlet, the two characters are charged with determining Hamlet's motives, and plans. Instead they, themselves are killed. The characters are thrust into the universe of Hamlet in much the same way that Paulo and Nikki were thrust into ours, by the will of the writer. Inasmuch, they seem to serve no valid purpose and are generally mocked throughout for being the extraneous folk they are.

In "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead", however, much like Expose is Nikki and Paulo, the playing field is reversed and they are the major characters with Hamlet seeming to be the character with misappropriated importance.

Interesting....

That the producers decided to kill off much-maligned castaways Nikki and Paolo on this week's episode may not have been a shock to fans. But how the greedy, murderous pair died provided one of the biggest twists — and thrills — of the season. (After being paralyzed by spider bites, the not-so-dynamic duo were buried alive — albeit unwittingly — by Sawyer and Hurley.) "People hated them before they even opened their mouths to say anything significant because it felt like they were crashing the party," exec producer Damon Lindelof acknowledges of the characters who were abruptly introduced last fall. "The easiest thing would have been to just write them out and forget they ever happened, like the cougar on [season 2] of 24. But that's not Lost. We should at least own up to it."

Kiele Sanchez wasn't bothered by the criticism directed at Nikki and reveled in going out with a bang, yet wasn't too crazy about filming the burial scene: "I am horribly claustrophobic — I can't even have a blanket over my face — so I didn't have to do a lot of acting. I was genuinely terrified."

That episode was awesome I think it's one of the best ones so far in terms of keeping my attention and not thinking "When's it gonna finish", the ending was brilliant imo I thought they were going to leap out any second in the end but them little writers chose not to. Also, I just hope they get out and don't die. Please.... Trailer for next episode?

another episode has been added to the finale. There is now 5(+) episodes left as of March 29, 2007

Hurmoth, you may want to adjust your list..

Episode 18 is D.O.C

April 25th

Episode 21 The Truth About Lying says TV.com

May 16

(missing 2 weeks in between...)

No Problem Peewee :D

I thought it was just after Michael let him escape...but it seems theres not much commotion in the hatch...weird

How can you say that? Thats just, dumb. They say they are going to SEND Michael in that scene. It is dated "32 days ago" which is day 48 on the island.

Oh, and Charlie coming clean to Sun is big character progression for him, so its not a TOTAL throwaway episode.

Huh? What do you mean another was added to the finale?

There were always going to be 23 total episodes with 22 and 23 airing as the finale...

OMFG!!!!!! Buried Alive

Nikki was hehehehehehehe

Seriously man. The first few times I saw her before this episode I didnt think she was especially beautiful, but they played up her sexyness. I guess beauty is what you they it.

- There is a short Elizabeth Mitchell interview. Nothing definitive. EM says she believes the aloe scene made Juliet ashamed of being one of them.

- CC met the two writers on the WB show Black Sash.

- They call the background characters "socks".

- RE: Pikki death. The writers felt there was "no other way for them to learn their lesson".

- Originally, they wanted to do an entire episode of the Expose` show, then have the reveal at the end that it was a show within a show.

- Adam Horowitz has a mancrush on Billy Dee Williams. Cute story about how they got him to do the part.

- Biggest thing, IMO ... the monster makes its return in Left Behind.

- The guy falling from a window in Numbers was NOT Locke.

- Christmas may be celebrated in Season 4.

- Rose and Bernard have an "awesome" storyline coming up. (me- tptb now scare me to death when they describe things with superlatives )

- The idea that Locke was suggesting to Ben that he was not healing because he was doing things like eating refrigerated chicken, is sort of correct.

Thanks! Can't wait for that, hearing smokey at the end of Expose maybe was a little hint that he is out and about...

I thought natural medicine was Suns' territory?

...but she was no where near them... Did you see the episode?

Also, Jack's a doctor. His primary skill is in spinal surgery, but that doesn't mean he can't do other stuff.

    • Microsoft fixes one of Excel Copilot's most frustrating limitations by Usama Jawad Microsoft began integrating Copilot into Excel a couple of years ago and has been upgrading it with new functionalities since then. While some changes have been controversial, Microsoft is hoping to win over users by allowing them to be more productive via Copilot. To that end, it has now announced a Copilot improvement that may actually be appreciated by people who use it regularly. Excel customers often use the Copilot prompt box to issue instructions to format and customize their data, but it can become quite tiring to keep repeating the same instructions again and again. Microsoft now allows you to define Copilot personalization rules for formatting, naming conventions, formulas, and report styles. These can be accessed via Settings > Personalization, where you can explain your rules in natural language like "Always format currency in USD with no decimals", and just let Copilot take care of the rest. Microsoft is going a step further in this direction by allowing you to set workbook rules too. These rules are stored as a .Rules sheet, and are preserved while the workbook is shared. This fosters collaboration while making sure that standard rules govern the Copilot editing experience across the organization. Other advantages of this capability include pointing it to specific examples, defining dynamic formulas, and referencing an entire sheet and asking Copilot to infer rules based on that. You can leverage this feature by opening Copilot in Excel, clicking on "+", and selecting Create workbook rules. If you have an existing .Rules sheet, you can simply start listing the rules in column A as well. Personalization features are available to all Copilot in Excel users across the web, Mac, and Windows. Meanwhile, workbook rules are currently being previewed for Windows and Mac customers on the Insiders channel. General availability is scheduled after a few weeks, but a concrete date is currently unknown. Overall, the Excel capability is quite similar to ChatGPT's memory features, which allow you to permanently store items in the AI model's context window.
    • Imagine you still haven't discovered Total Commander that is doing all those things for three decades already...
    • This sounds like underneath the nice marketing spin, either someone at Adobe got tired of their lazy devs and asked Microsoft to help them sort at least some of Adobe's ancestral spaghetti code to make it go faster, or Microsoft wanted Adobe's crap to run better on Windows to make it look better when compared to Apple, so they offered to intervene. Either way, GOOD.
    • My favorite file manager for Windows 11 finally gets a long-requested feature by Taras Buria Files is among the best File Explorer alternatives for Windows 10 and 11. This free app is packed with all sorts of features and conveniences, but there is one crucial feature that is still missing—Tree View. Fortunately, the latest update in the Preview channel finally delivers it. With version 4.1.4, which is now available for download in the Preview channel, developers implemented Tree View, a new mode that displays folders in an expandable hierarchy. Windows 11's stock File Explorer always had this feature, but it was nowhere to be found in Files until now. Starting with the latest preview update, you can expand each drive and its nested folders without leaving the current location and then open the folder you need in the main view. To try Tree View in Files, update the app to the latest preview version, then click the small arrow next to a drive to expand its content. The developers say they are rolling out Tree View in Preview first to gather feedback from users and improve the feature before bringing it to all in the stable channel. In addition to Tree View, Files 4.1.14 improves the Windows Fonts folder. You can now preview each font directly in Files with no need to open the built-in font viewer. For now, these two features are only available in the Preview channel. For those using the stable release, developers recently released version 4.1.3, with improvements for the built-in tag system, on-demand folder size calculation, and plenty of various fixes. You can check out the full release notes here. You can download Files from the Microsoft Store (paid version) or its official website (free).
    • Who is paying for this 30x scale-up? Its sounds expensive.
