Photoshop Windows Rome!

Still messing with this, but so far:

Pretty similar to the standard windows interface, except slicker, and the Sidebar is now the Startbutton, and will slide up from under the taskbar, the same works in the explorer with all the controls.

Interesting, but it needs icons on the desktop, and a quick launch. But good so far.

Is this thread dying? Anyway, this is my second try at creating a new interface, but i prefer to call it windows 7 rather than rome. The image shows a mini email application in action and dialogs popping out from the start dock. I actually wanted to change the wallpaper but accidentally merged the layers, so i cant really do anything about it but to add the gadgets onto the image. The main navigation is actually through the search bar (as by that time,search in windows would have been improved and will support complex queries) and results would come down like Mac's spotlight. The search as well as the interface can be controlled by voice. If u have any suggestions to improve it, pls give COMMENTS!!

The only problem with changing the Windows logo to a different shape, it wouldn't be Windows.

Here's my idea. (click for larger view on dA)

The menu you see pops out from the side, similar to the Tablet Input Panel in Vista.

You can add/remove menu items in preferences, so you only see what you want on there.

all these look great, but some just too os x like, something that will never happen. didnt microsoft say that there may be a 3d desktop in the near future. Any concepts of that?
