What is the CRC ?

Only 5 days old. That is what I call a new build.

Only 3 recompiles.

great! ;)

Just VNC'd into my home computer to start the download.

Good ol' downloading from Europe...so much faster

I gotta ask, I understand how you got 5 days old, but where is the 3 recompiles part of the string?

I thought it was usually, 5728.3 if it was the 3rd recompile?

I actually download at work because it's a lot faster  . I guess most people probably don't have a DVD burner in their work computer though.

Is it on connect?

The numbers don't mean anything except for the ones on that branch.

That's correct, after RC1 was released they jumped to the 57xx "RTM" branch.

Depends on your spec.. I found RC1 just too slow to use every day.. though to be fair I think better drivers would help there.

On my system(P4 3.6 Ghz,1Gb ram DDR2,Nvidia 6800 ultra pci express, sata hard disk(580 Gb total with three hard disks)it was very fast every day!!no problems at all!! :D :D

Starts off at 16384 and goes up. 16387 is 3 up from 16384.

Well i'd say that Microsoft had a serious problem if they couldn't make Vista run quickly on that ;)

What specs do you have? I've been running it as my work OS since RC1 on a P4 2.8HT with 1.5gb ram, and it runs fine for my daily office tasks. I did have to buy a 6600 because I needed dual monitors and my old PCI card that worked in XP wouldn't work in Vista....but a 6600LE certainly isn't cutting edge for speed :)
