One of my friends did the LA one and it was an E on a building that looks just like the E you click on for the clue. Why would they have us search for something that's already there? Unless I'm missing the point... Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/502753-the-dark-knight/page/11/#findComment-588960446 Share on other sites

gigapixels Veteran Posted October 31, 2007 Veteran Share Posted October 31, 2007 Don't know if anybody found this: http://www.rorysdeathkiss.com/ If you uncover the photo underneath all the letters by clicking on it (the picture that shows up is what Rappy posted) and then click on the exacto knife it brings you to that link. The letters we see are the ones that have been sent in already by those that played the game. That game's finished. Now there's another game. Alright, that makes more sense then. aubaine
I think everyone at the UK Neowin meetup should do this. That way Neowin can get some great publicity since it will be (so far) only the second pic in the 21+ category. acies
Jack Nicolson had some things to say about Heath Ledger in the Joker role: MTV: What do you think of another actor, Heath Ledger, playing the Joker in next summer's "The Dark Knight"? Nicholson: Let me be the way I'm not in interviews. I'm furious. I'm furious. [He laughs.] They never asked me about a sequel with the Joker. I know how to do that! Nobody ever asked me. MTV: It was never brought up? Nicholson: No. It's like, in any area, you can't believe the reasons things do or don't happen. Not asking me how to do the sequel is that kind of thing. Maybe it's not a mistake. Maybe it was the right thing, but to be candid, I'm furious. MTV: I'm surprised to hear you sounding competitive about a role like that. Nicholson: Well, the Joker comes from my childhood. That's how I got involved with it in the first place. It's a part I always thought I should play. MTV: Will you see the new film? Nicholson: I'm not inclined to watch it because of what I said. But if it's a good movie, I'll catch up with it somewhere. I don't think they ever really captured Tim Burton's spirit [since he stopped being involved]. They kind of drove the franchise into the ground. Tim Burton's a genius. He had the right take on it. That's why I did the movie. I did the movie based on a single conversation with him. We both come from the cartoon world originally. We had similar ideas. Tim said [the Joker] should have a humorous dark side to him. [burton is] one of the great moviemakers. I think the world of him. He's the most unassuming man. And he doesn't feel pressure. That's what I love about him. Once he's in there, he's smiling making the movie. That's it! He has to have been sarcastic or something... Why was he expecting to get the part in a sequal??? His Joker died... Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/502753-the-dark-knight/page/11/#findComment-588978462 Share on other sites
Mathachew Veteran Posted November 8, 2007 Veteran Share Posted November 8, 2007 Batman Begins > Batman Sorry Jack, today's Batman is by far the best imagining. Honestly, I don't see Jack's role as Joker to be so ground breaking, astounding, etc. etc. He was great for the part, but... that's just me. Rappy Veteran Posted November 8, 2007 Veteran Share Posted November 8, 2007 I thought Jack as the Joker was pretty awesome back in the day when I was quite young I found it really scary especially when he fell off the building at the end and all you can hear is the ha ha ha :| Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/502753-the-dark-knight/page/11/#findComment-588978557 Share on other sites
aubaine
I agree that Tim Burton had a pretty good concept of Batman and that Jack did a great job. However, I do like Nolan's take better, and I'm interested to see how Heath performs. LunarFalcon
I liked Tim Burton's Batman when it came out (I was 13 or 14), but always felt that everybody in it was so old. It felt like Batman for my parents. While I love Time Burton, I've greatly preferred Chris Nolan's take on Batman Begins, and think that with a few exceptions that casting has been impeccable. Xero
Batman Begins is hands down the best of the series, Burtons were good, don't get me wrong, better than the crap they made before Batman Begins, but they are dated now and when compared to modern films just seem to be low budget and poorly made, no offense you die hard fans. The new Batman brings realism to it, makes it much more believable and something more people can relate to. Also the "darkness" of the Batman is one thing I've loved. I hated the kiddy, PG13 Batman crap they've done over the last decade or so. I think the new Dark Knight will bring new life to the Joker and give us a character thats far more believable then the others who've played him. The writing, the casting, filming, effects, everything in the new ones is top notch, Batman Begins is one my favorite movies of all time. I really wish they didn't cast Katie Holmes in the original though, hopefully he replacement will be better fit, but I hate it when sequels swap actors. Ah well. Lqv2015
I love BB. Hands down the best so far in the franchise. But I do think it has lost it's comic book feel. A little too real perhaps? Burton's first Batman was also great. While it was "kiddy", it also had a style to it. BB didn't have that. That said, I can't wait for TDK. I disagree I don't think Burton's Batman and Batman Returns were "kiddy" at all, especially in there own times. Also I think both movies did have there own, quite different, style. I also don't think Burton or Nolan were going for a comic book "feel", I really don't think that would transfer well to film, without being overly stylized. Burton's had a darker feel to them as well. When that Joel guy took over, however... well, we all know how craptastic those were. Neither of them came across as comic book movies, nothing like Spider-Man or Fantastic Four.
