Awesome pictures!

I'm anxiously awaiting a Blu-Ray release. I'm really hoping there will be a ton of special features on it too, specifically "the making of..." special features and interviews. I really like watching that type of stuff.

Yea, Batman Begins had a great load of extra features, though I would have loved a commentary on the film, I am hoping TDK will have one.

Finally got around to watching it. Really good movie. Heath did an amazing job as the Joker. The whole Harvey Dent story I could have lived without. Not sure if its as good as people say it is though. Then again, people said Ironman was one of the best movies ever too...I thought it was pretty average at best. This though..think Im gonna have to wait for dvd or bluray to decide. Definately going in my collection.

But I just saw a DVDScreener release of the film (shh :o ) and he very clearly says ten ;)

Oh my god...Let it go....

On another IMPORTANT note. Does anyone have any idea when it will be released on Blu-Ray? Also I hope the scenes they filmed in IMAX res are cut into the film on the disk.

HOLY unfinished trilogy?I can reveal that the sequel to this summer?s blockbuster Batman movie The Dark Knight may NEVER be made.

Why? Because director CHRISTOPHER NOLAN doesn?t think he can do it without HEATH LEDGER. After Ledger?s death this year, AARON ECKHART looked like being the new villain. But he?s let slip Nolan?s having second thoughts.

Eckhart said: ?Chris hasn?t said he?s going to make a third film. I think he wants to make other movies.?

Who kno:s how true this is :s

I just watched the film and I was amazed. I simply loved it. It was one of the best movies I've ever watched. And didn anyone else notice that card attached to the fake batman with the joker paint on him? It had the writing: Will the Real Batman please stand up =D

Did they extract all that from what Eckhart said? I'd be very surprised if he didn't make a third one eventually.

Wasnt the script released online in a pdf. I looked at it and there was no mention of SIX or TEN.

Well if it's not in the script then it's improvised, and most probably "six". And, though maybe not 100% reliable, IMDb has it down as "six". Personally I think it's blatantly obvious, in the context of the scene, that it's six.

Its definitely not in the script and the only person that TRULY knows...is dead...

OK, you are all going to cuss and flame me... But...

I just watched a screener, PERFECT quality. The "sexten" debate... I would like to offer this:

He says neither. He smacks his teeth. At no point do his lips make any letters. The tongue would come forward sor the S in six, or the T ten. This doesn't happen.

Just a thought!

There will be a 3rd movie for sure. I agree it will be damn hard to top Heath's joker but Depp playing the riddler would be a damn good start. After all they compare Heath's joker to Depps Jack Sparrow, ie. the character made the movie.

Besides Nolan won't be able to stay away from a 3rd movie. I've read countless interviews about how much he loved making the movie, working with the cast and vice versa, he will definitely return, the question is, when. I have a feeling we are looking at a longer gap until the next film. I do wish he'd do more tie-ins like Marvel is doing. Not characters from other comics, but cameos of other Batman characters, even if you just see them sitting in a cell or on the news, its the little things that get me.

Oh noes not a new side to the argument :p

f there is one thing that summer gave to fall in 2008, it was the gift of casting rumors. The late-July release of The Dark Knight and its subsequent historic box office run has paved the way to what can only be described as a avalanche of speculation that has rained down upon the internet, and has been greeted by thunderous outcries from fanboy and fangirl alike.

And while we?ve seen just about everything we thought we?d never see ? from Cher as Catwoman to Milo Ventamiglia as Robin ? the folks at Warner Bros. continue to remind us that Christopher Nolan hasn?t even decided to do another movie, let alone choose cast for one. But as always, that could change on a dime ? especially if loose-lipped executives continue to chat with the equally loose-lipped Michael Caine. Caine told MTV News that he?s had conversations with higher-ups about the next film, and that they?ve already got some p ?I was with [a Warner Bros.] executive and I said, ?Are we going to make another one?? They said yeah. I said, ?How the hell are we going to top Heath? And he says ?I?ll tell you how you top Heath ? Johnny Depp as The Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin.? I said, ?S?t, they?ve done it again!?? [Laughs]??ve done it again!?? [Laughs]

Johnny DeppAs the article over at MTV points out, the rumors around Johnny Depp and Philip Seymour Hoffman have been hot topics around the next Batman film for some time, emerging not too long after The Dark Knight was released. So far, these are the only casting rumors that have endured to the point of having a principal cast member talk about them ? as Caine just did.

That said, it wouldn?t be prudent for fans to get their hopes up too much, as no official word has come down the pipe that the movie is even happening. And no matter how illogical it would be for WB or Chris Nolan to pass on the opportunity to continue the series, we can?t rule that out as a possibility. Having said that, the prospect of adding talent like Depp and Hoffman to a franchise that is already at the top of its game would be a great move, no matter the direction they choose to take with the characters. In a franchise that has been built on putting great talent in places where we may not have expected to see them, these two seem to be very plausible moves ? that is, if they turn out to be true.

    • WTF! Nah, not this one. If you were back then using computers in the 90s or you had a clue, you'd know this was huge and was seen and overused absolutely everywhere and you'd take this article as no more than a retrospective story. That's all it is.
    • these "editors" get paid by the amount of articles and not the quality of content; hence why we get this random stuff from the same "editor" time and time again.
    • 256 times the quality of an audio cd? I think audio cd's sound good so even twice as good as that would be something.
    • It’s not about the NOx. It’s about the electrical field.
