Just an update for any of you in Computing Science at SFU here in Vancouver, Canada, our MSDNAA site now has Vista Business listed, and keys are available from that site as well. I got my key so total that up I now have 2 Business Keys and 1 Ultimate Key. Sweet.

Do you know if you can use the same CD from windows beta (The Final RTM Copy)? I'm too lazy to go over to CSIL and burn it.

The DVD AND a CD version (5 disks!) has appeared on my MSDN. I just need a key, like everyone else. I was going to go today but my campus was closed due to extremely high winds o_0

EDIT: Actually nevermind! I just checked and I have a key on my MSDNAA, so I guess everyone else should be getting automatic ones soon!

hey guys. Just install vista from MSDNAA. Its the business edition. The ISO is 2.49GB. Im thinking bout doing Vista upgrade anytime. It says you must have a anytime disc? Does my ISO have every edition of Vista on it? I presume it only has Bussiness 32bit? Also are you able to upgrade MSDNAA editions to ultimate?? - lol maybe that should have been the first question!

Hmmm cool. Now i need to decide whether to upgrade or not. I ll be upgrading to get MCE. I ve tried open source but they arn't vista compatible. Knowing my luck ill pay for an upgrade and then they ll put Ultimate on MSDNAA

My advice would be to install Business and use that for now, dual booting XP so you don't lose functionality (because certain programs and hardware are bound to not work) and give it a try for a few months, then see if ultimate comes on MSDN.

Yep thats exactly the setup i ve got at the moment.

got my key an hour after request. :D

be better once Ultimate Edition turns up mind you ;)

Dont think its going to happen.

I was wondering that, Must be the case. Whats the price for upgrading to Ultimate from Business

I can't seem to install the DVD version for some reason. I always get a checksum error trying to boot off of it. I tried different DVD media. burning at different speeds and burning using different drives, all result in the same error.

Should I download it again? What is the cksum of the .iso file?

the schools wont supply ultimate edition. business is ultimate edition minus bitlocker and media center. The school isnt gonna care that you want media center. Students are supposed to be using windows for school related stuff not watching movies. I already asked lol

I have had vista installed for a while using my MSDNAA version..

My hard drive is failing and I'm going to replace it.

Can I activate my MSDNAA version of windows a second time?

If not, is there any way to copy the activation across? (After all it's the same machine, just differnt hard drive)

Vista showed up yesterday on my school's MSDNAA. Two SKU's, one was a 5CD set and one was a all inclusive DVD. Im not sure if the system will give you another serial though...now that would be tight.

Well even if you did image the drive, it might get upset over it. Worst case scenario, call Microsoft and they'll sort it out for you.

Hmm, i'm not sure thinking about it

I couldn't download the DVD, I had to physically pick up the disk (with a printed key on it) and I was only borrowing it. They wanted it back so I copied the disk and the key.

Hmm, i'll try it and see what happens, worst case scenario I have 30 days to phone microsoft, right?

On my MSDNAA, We have at least 3 versions of XP Pro. There's XP Pro, XP Pro SP1, XP Pro SP2 and another one I think. But they all give you different keys and each key can be used in any of them (obviously I used them all with an SP2 slipstreamed disk) so chances are, you'll get at least one other key.

    • Alien Isolation 2 will bring a new protagonist and setting, watch the reveal trailer here by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Only a few weeks ago, Sega and Creative Assembly dropped a teaser for a new Alien Isolation. Today at Summer Game Fest, Alien: Isolation 2 was officially announced with a new trailer while also confirming a whole lot of information about the setting of this survival horror project. Check out the reveal trailer above. Leaving behind the Sevastopol space station, the sequel will take players to a remote colony world. With a Xenomorph (or more) on the loose, players will be navigating both the surface of the weather-ravaged planet as well as "the claustrophobic confines of the Weyland-Yutani outpost of Kurosaki Station." Interestingly, Creative Assembly is leaving behind Amanda Ripley, the daughter of Alien's Ellen Ripley, as the protagonist too. While it hasn't confirmed a name yet, players will be taking the role of a new character for this new adventure. The setting is also being described as a new hunting ground for the Alien. This will have players improvising and developing new tools to aid in their survival and escape, all to avoid "cinema’s deadliest killer." "It has been over a decade since we created the original Alien: Isolation and I am so excited to show everyone the first glimpse of the sequel," says Al Hope, Creative Director at Creative Assembly. "Our dedicated Survival team at Creative Assembly has been working hard to create a new, evolved Isolation experience continuing the legacy of the Alien franchise, making the eponymous killer smarter, the environment harsher and the chance of survival slimmer." Promising the same deadly tension from the original from over a decade ago, Alien: Isolation 2 is in development for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5. A release date has not been announced yet.

    • Like the article stated, it's written completely from scratch, unlike the umpteen Chromium clones. It got its start as the browser built-in to the also written-from-scratch SerenityOS.
    • Hello, From looking at the screen shots in your motherboard's manual at https://endownload.colorful.cn/EnDownload/MotherBroard/2022/Intel 600/Manual/Intel 600 Series BIOS English/Intel 600 Series BIOS User Guide.pdf, you go to the ADVANCED option at the top of the BIOS (UEFI) menu, then select SECURITY in the list of options on the left.  From there  you can enable and set the Secure Boot mode.
