hmm this threads a lil old... but anyways... ever wonder why male and female exist? and are different? and the only way to naturally reproduce is with a male/female couple? also, where did a lot of the stds come from? the way im seeing this is that straight=the way it's supposed to be. Im not looking down/shunning/abusing anyone here. just wondering if someone can convince me that its possible to any other way naturally

anyway

Oh sheesh. Why must you, Fred the Supervisor, start a nosy thread like this?

Just my humble opinion, but everyone should mind their own businesses.

Even I think my own sexual orientation is none of anyone's beeswax. By the way, I just love to leave the others thinking like, "Is he ...?" Makes it more fun though. *snickers*

Remember, there *are* guys that look and act straight, but are bi/gay themselves.

ARE you gay? j/k... It's fine that you don't want to share, but why bother posting? It's obvious that others are comfortable sharing...

Well, there are plenty of animals in nature that exhibit homosexual tendencies...

Maybe he shared in the actual poll. :)

My favourite 'natural' report of homosexuality in nature...a pack of lions I believe it was and how when the pack reached a certain population; the next generation of males had a higher tendancy to be homosexual...

I don't care really. There were threads created by members in previous years and I was only interesting in making this an inclusive poll.

If everyone were to reproduce, the world would be so overpopulated it wouldn't be able to sustain itself, but for the current population to sustain itself you still need to have people to work and take part in society, so in effect populations shouldn't exceed what they can handle because if they try to, less people would be reproducing. Similar to what Paulstorm said. Only so many lions/lioness' can be fed, but you still need lions to hunt for food...

Just my thoughts..

Male who likes both here. Girls look very hot, but guys are better to be with (if ya know what i mean!)

ROFL! Thats why I like dating bi guys right there ^^. ;-) and w00t for Mikey...if every gay/bi guy was straight...imagine the additional population influx. WOW.

I'd be very curious to know how things are *today* in China with regards to the total homosexual population. They currently have a problem where by there are like three men for every woman in the country.

    • Bluesky COO warns social media regulations could destroy competition from small startups by Paul Hill Fears that increasing government control of social media risks regulatory capture by the biggest social media firms were raised again recently. Bluesky’s chief operating officer said in an interview that social media bans for children and tighter regulations for social media firms risk creating a world where there are only a few social media platforms run by companies with the deepest pockets. Regulations on social media firms have been very lax since they appeared for mainstream users in the 2000’s. This gave Meta, Snapchat, and Google time to build up their user bases and get entrenched, with Meta being the most successful. Now that Meta has succeeded, it has been attempting regulatory capture. By pushing for more regulations of social media, Meta hopes to make it more difficult for rivals to challenge it. For its part, it doesn’t need to worry about the cost of regulation because it has a lot of money to spend, whereas startups do not. Speaking to CNBC, Rose Wang, Bluesky’s chief operating officer, said: “I support the protection and the safety of youth, the question that we have then is at what cost, because essentially what I’m scared of is in the long term, we’re headed to a world where there’s about three to five platforms, and extreme heavy regulation of those platforms, and basically the whole compliance teams of these platforms are 10 times the size of our entire team. So, basically, we’re living in a world where it’s almost impossible for smaller entrants to come in and build healthier spaces. These platforms have led to a place where the bottom line is the thing that drives what they do... so I understand why governments have to step in and regulate, because the platforms have done nothing right.” She said that while she is not against regulation, there needs to be more channels between the small to mid-sized players and regulators to help protect them. She says that big tech players, on the other hand, “who we know are circumventing regulation,” need to be regulated. Essentially, the Bluesky position is one of nuance, rather than absolutes. While Bluesky’s proposal may preserve competition in the social media space, it still doesn’t address the massive privacy implications these age verification measures introduce, such as handing over sensitive identity documents to access age-gated content.
