I thought it would be nice if we had a thread where everyone could post his/her Vista Performance Index so we can compare

I've also added a poll so we can see how the performance is distributed.

I'll start right away and post my Windows Performance Index:

i dont know what this performance thing is about. are you not allowed to use vista if your performance code is too low?

No, but Aero capabilities are based off it I believe.

Here's the exact same thread without a poll: https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=480220 (and better instructions so that you can SEE the person's computer specs!)

edit: Ah, beaten to it by Jeston :pinch:

Anyone want to buy me a new CPU ?

My hard drive is showing less than 40GB b/c I only gave it that much, I'm using XP as my main OS and Vista as a secondary. Eventually i'll shift to Vista only and remove the partition :) Oh and my processor has only 1mb cache. Vista runs great on my pc.

Mine's stuck at 4.5 it was at 3.9 but i swapped the install to a Sata II HDD and it jumped the disk score right up.

Let down by my memory now, anyone suggest some good fast memory?

I'd say you're fine.

I have 2GB and it still only gives me 4.5 for RAM.

The scores are also based upon speed for the graphics and ram sections, so if you see two people with 1gb of ram but different scores its due to the fact of differences of speed (400mhz vs 800mhz) as well as the transfer rate of the ram (3200 vs 4200)

Hope that clears up confusion.
