loki rune here

Rune 03:

3 - Signals

Messenger Rune

Loki

Self Transformation begins with the messages from the Inner. Listen.

Spirit communicates in gentle essence through all of Life. See.

--If Reversed:

Futility and Confusion are merely the mind's offer to clear.

When the well runs muddy it's not because the water isn't clear.

Just an observation:

but the picture of Rune three looks like one of the puzzle pieces, two if reversed.

Arcade

so here is the picture of the "fox" that i found yesterday,

Hi, this is Loki. Or rather her electronic footprint left behind on this machine.

Funny how the inanimate world retains traces of things long after they've disappeared, isn't it?.

If you're calling about the murmuring rock project, it's on hold indefinitely, unfortunately?

Here ia what i think Hi, this is Loki. Or rather her electronic footprint left behind on this machine.

Funny how the inanimate world retains traces of things long after they've disappeared i think that she is telling us that

we can find this murmuring rock project somewhere online like cahed somwhere or somthing like that

murmuring rock appears to be some microsoft thing that they won't show...

go into live search or microsoft search and type in loreley, lorelei or murmuring rock... all of them go to pages not showing any results... and google hasn't got the pages either, so either they've never been linked to or the google spider hasn't been to work yet...

if you wanna search live search you need to put in site:microsoft.com or you get thousands of results.

Ok, I go to lunch and BAM, a new website is found. So.....how was the Awakened site located?

Calling AMD and Microsoft was understandable and ballsy. Good call there all!

Oh, and a word of caution to any who might try, I called Microsoft before I read on about the AMD business, and asked for the 55654 extension. This is a real extension for a woman (I think her name is Linda) who knew nothing about this contest. She tried to be very helpful, and I felt bad for my mistake, so I am repeating that it is a wrong number so that no one will make the same error and pester her.

Ok, on with the game...but please, again, how was Awakened found?

I think the fox/Loki is just a coincidence. Cool, but just random in my opinion.

I searched the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine for Murmuring Rock thinking the cached page was a good idea. Nothing came up except a promotional film for Westinghouse refrigerator line. lol.

so here is the picture of the "fox" that i found yesterday,

OK, so here's the thing. As games like this progress, you'll swear that you're seeing things that aren't there.

In that picture, there is no fox. There's no hidden data at all. You've managed to stop in-between frames, so what you're seeing is a mix of the previous and next frames. The "Zebra" on the right is Loki's shirt. On the left, what you see as the ears of the "fox" are her arms (partially cut off by her pants, which make it look like an ear).

So far, everything has been obvious, right? What makes you think they'd deviate from that at this point? The puzzles will be pretty deliberate, and you might have to be paying attention, but you won't have to dig that hard. And if you do (like the .wav file from the pre-game), the startling lack of "content" in the clue itself will be the clue that you have to go to more extraordinary means.

Ok, on with the game...but please, again, how was Awakened found?

Simple, really. As I theorized late last night, when I called Microsoft and couldn't get the IVR to recognize her name, I wondered ... what would happen if I called Microsoft, talked to an operator, and asked to be transferred to Loki.

That's all it took.

No, that's not what I meant. How did you get to the Awakened site from her message "Awesome work. All knowledge eventually needs effective diagnosis."

Ah, crap. I see it now. First letter of each word. DOH!

LOL. I've been breaking codes and making them since I was VERY young. One of the first things I do when I see an oddly worded message like this is write each word on a new line.

Awesome

It's an AMD building now. (408) 749-4000.

She mentions how things can retain memory long after they're gone. Sounds like the memory metal. Then she mentions that the Mumuring Rock project is on hold indefinitely. Unfortunately.

That led me to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorelei

Bah, beat to it while I was typing. :)

I called the number and it asked me for their name what didyou say because loki didn't work

[EDIT]

Srry i figured it out. But when i called and read the name i got an answering machine and no message from loki.

Edited by Hawx's
Get a human and ask for Loki. Or read the last 30 pages of this thread and you'll be caught up. ;)

I have read the last "30" pages. I did try and talk to an operator and asked for loki and she asked me for their last name. I also called microsoft and when they asked for the fax i put in fax that was on here with and without the x and it was wrong so if someone could help me out it would be nice.

And on a different note i'm thinkin that maybe someone helping us out might be working on the other side. Just a thought. I've had a couple suspicions and i heard that in the i love bees game there was a traitor and both of these are made by the same companies so...

Hi Hawx's,

I think you might be combining steps, which is what is confusing you. Hope this helps clarify:

When you call Microsoft and talk to an operator, they can look up a voicemail extension by e-mail alias. If you give them the e-mail alias for v-loki, you'll get her voicemail (with a message to us).

If you take the first letters of all the words in her message, they'll spell "AWAKENED". This led us to www.vanishingpointgame.com/awakened.

On that page, a number is listed. If you call it, you'll find it is an automated fax line. You will need to enter your own fax number to receive a fax.

The fax you receive contains Loki's flight itinerary, with the last one circled and "Old AT&T building, x55654" written in. By looking up the flight numbers, we found that the circled destination went to San Jose, and further found that the old AT&T building in San Jose is now an AMD building. If you call the AMD office in San Jose, and then enter extension 55654, you'll get the message about murmuring rock.

...and that's where we are now!

Best,

fatherthespis

Hey guys i just thought of a few wierd things.

First being i can't find the vanishing point game on unfiction anymore.

Second is not really anything, but what if we emailed loki at 42Entertainment because if you think about it they are the actual people making this thing so they would be her employer? I tried emailing there with loki(at)42Entertainment, but didn't work. Maybe there is some other way to write 42Entertainment. I don't know if that's the company's full name.

And MatthewLefflercomputer even if you guys did write all the info down i just want to double check for myself and also someone on here brought up a good point. If she is going to contact us later on way would be through our emails we sent her. So i applaud whoever thought about that.

Thanks fatherthespis that helped. I got confused because i haven't seen a fax number before and i think i read two pages in the wrong order.

. . .

And MatthewLefflercomputer even if you guys did write all the info down i just want to double check for myself . . .

That's great! Any more light anybody can shed on this shady creature is quite fine!

I?ve been trying out some stuff....messing with things... going back...

This is one of the things I was trying to do?

Time passes = /on_the_run

Magic happens=?

Memories fade=?

People disappear=?

Or in variations ? However after trying to scramble up these phrases I managed to pull one thing related to the vanishing point? NOT the game? just a guide to “disappearing in North America” done in 98 or something (http://www.skeptictank.org/hs/vanish.htm) .

Therefore no luck but maybe as things develop this method might take on a new light. *I also tried to find quotes/phrases/theories etc on this.. but no avail.. possible the method is too broad anyways...

Sneak Away...

Jordan Miesbauer

In the midst of the words he was trying to say

In the midst of his laughter and glee

He silently and quietly vanished away

For the snark was a boson, you see

I saw the loki rune and I?am on the border line in relation to if it is connected to the images from the white boxes.

As for the “infiltrator” idea ? yeah I?m pretty sure someone else is leaving breadcrumbs ,beyond 42- possibly a neowin, for us to pick up.

For the image of the fox with loki?I agree with the transitional frame theory & as a result I am skeptical about Mozilla/Fire fox ideas.

Incredible with the L. Kitsune & www.vanishingpointgame.com/awakened. discovery. Mind Boggling really.

Other than that great job working on the game.

PS My apologies about the previous posts with the “shouting” i.e. caps

Lol i wasn't talking about him but it's still cool. If they were going to put someone on here it would be more towards the beginning like in the pregame stuff or maybe at the beginning of the vegas thing. But now that i brought this up they could just as easily start a new account.

[Edit]

Wait sorry i thought you were talking about matthewlefflercomputer and i just checked and saw that your actually him.

    • "Revelation?" I was hoping for this episode to be called "Reunion". Oh, well... In a related note, the Final Fantasy VII compilation has received an EC entry, short for Ever Crisis. For those who don't know, it already had AC, BC, CC, and DC entries, short for Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus. I hope it doesn't get an FC entry becaude that would be a freakin' crisis.
    • Uh, after intense testing now, 'Samsung Browser' is not the best one outside of 'Microsoft Edge' after all. Opera Air is that. It has "some" bloat, but it's far less than what both Microsoft Edge and Brave browser have.
    • Weekend PC Game Deals: Resident Evil, Mafia, Like a Dragon, and more by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place every week for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets. The Epic concluded its mystery giveaways this week with another double freebie promotion. As a part of this, you can now grab Rogue Waters and Songs of Conquest to keep. Songs of Conquest is a turn-based 4X strategy game where you'll be managing a kingdom, making tough decisions, and taking down enemy forces in tactical combat. Meanwhile, Rogue Waters is a roguelike where, as a pirate captain, you command a ship and crew through procedurally generated encounters. The double giveaway is coming to an end on June 11. On the same day, Warhammer 40K Speed Freeks will join in as the next freebie. Another Humble Choice offer was revealed earlier this week, bringing a refreshed eight-game selection to jump into. The June selection is Octopath Traveler 2, The Riftbreaker, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, INDIKA, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, Construction Simulator, Hell Clock, and Overlooting to keep as Steam keys. The $15 bundle gives you all eight games from this month's Choice selection. The month-long promotion will come to an end on July 6, giving you ample time to decide on whether you want the titles. The Humble Store also brought in standard gaming collections this week. The IGN Live Bundle kicked things off with games like Control, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, Blair Witch, Rollerdrome, and The Last Campfire for $10.
