HERE"S WHAT I THINK!

You know when you e-mail her and she says "Not what I expected. pay attention...LISTEN CLOSELY"...

i GUARANTEE you she's talking about that Music thats in the background of her video!!!

actually she was talking about calling her voice mail at microsoft and getting her message which we decoded to get the /awakened dir.

Blah...that's already done. Lots of people are trying to decode that song.....there are many relevancies that Band has w. Loki. I think its a new band...and i forgot their name...but i think the name is relevant...I read that on one of the blogs.

THEY ARE A BAND FROM SEATLE!

BAND NAME NOT IMPORTANT!

THE SONG NAME IS: MONA LISA

(THE VIDEO CUTS OFF THE CHORUS)

yep, maybe removing the stripes that make up Loki will show what's obscured ...

I worked on this a bit... here's what I got:

post-196643-1169068394_thumb.jpg

One of these is the light stripes brought together and one is the dark... Nothing I can see except the round object shows up a little better.

And one more:

post-196643-1169068539_thumb.jpg

This is what I got doing a photoshop de-interlace (even fields, interpolation) on the original image.

Anyone see something I don't?

Hmmm...we are in a bit of a holding pattern, which seems unusual for a game like this that is designed to keep interest high and the mental gears going. Do we have more to find before box #3? I don't know. If there is, we haven't found it yet.

Instead of the usual "Here are all the answers to date" email, how about one that details the current topics on our plate?

We still have plenty of stuff to mull over including:

1. Interlaced/striped images (from the box 1 main screen, loki.jpg, and the small bar from the swf). Is there a hidden message or are we looking too hard?

2. Her last video...was there something to it. Are we missing the next step? For that matter, is there anything from the earlier videos that we overlooked, or was the link to the subsequent website enough?

3. Her identity & what that means (reference to folklore, the AMD voicemail, murmuring rock project being on hold, phone number out of her name)?

4. Is there a way of thinking from the pre-game, videos solutions, and Boxes 1 & 2 that we haven't applied?

5. Is there anything more from older puzzles/clues, such as the FAX, that we need to look at? (I know, I know, usually once a puzzle is done, it is done, but he or she who makes the rules can break them).

6. Is there anything to the puzzle identifiers in Box #2 (Australia, Florida, and the gold circle boxes), and why did the Posters puzzle not have one?

7. Is there anything to the one pseudo/out of game site we found, lokivanishes.com, or is that just a wannabe trying to get web traffic?

8. Is the there something to the last two boxes & the way "Memories Fade" and "People Vanish" scramble?

9. Were the suits of the cards used to identify each puzzle in Box #2 significant, and if so, why was there only one Spade suited card? (#10 was Spades, otherwise 3 Hearts, 4 Clubs and 4 Diamonds).

10. Her tipping her sun/eyeglasses. Does it mean anything?

And there are probably more things too, but that it my Top Ten, if you will. Still, it kind of gets me that if there is something, that we as a community (a rather nright comunity), haven't picked it up.

So, just parting thought. Keep asking questions...don't get angry at other peoples questions...and remember, this is a game (albeit a game with fabulous prizes!).

So, just parting thought. Keep asking questions...don't get angry at other peoples questions...and remember, this is a game (albeit a game with fabulous prizes!).

Speaking of fabulous prizes, does anyone think its strange that the grand prize lists:

"$50,000 cash, to be used to defray the cost of taxes"

Taxes on what? The "vista" space trip? The boatload of electronics? Or is it just a silly way to say "You get a bunch of cash too"? And "defray" as if your taxes are going to be more than that?

I'm confused.

THIS JUST PUZZLED ME BIG TIME!!!

I typed in Google ?Loki Microsoft Fish? (all relevant words, those who are aware)?and one of the results was www.forgo.net/daily/2006/07/12/4788/ (2nd result from the top?) Click on it?then Click on the ?This is the most hilariousest thing? link.

Watch the video?.now..TELL ME THAT DOESN?T LOOK RELEVANT!!!!!

Ok... the first one I have was the regualr one everybody got...

Probably has nothing to do with anything... but I thought I'd show you guys.

That exact same thing happened to me too. :wacko:

As I said before, it's for me very hard to believe that the game is just to solve few puzzles every week,

that actually got solved in few hours and wait for the next batch. There are many clues that I still don't

know what they mean or what they are intended for, it could be missdirection, keep us crunching and

writing about this to create more buzz (after all remember that this is a marketing campaign).

In some cases (and I declare myself guilty) we may be looking too deep, is there something we missed ?

It's my gut feeling the one that says yes, but things like, if the flight list on the fax is a real itinerary what the

heck is going to happen in Austin tomorrow ? does somebody want to go and page Loki in the

airport :-) (you can also try with Susan Bonds who is exec producer from e42) ... ?

Imho, the pregame stunt looked more challenging than the actual puzzles in the game, don't you think ?

Again, what we are supposed to do until the next box opens ?

Still it's an interesting collective excercise from which I learned already a couple of new things/tricks.

Nice teamwork !!!

Cheers

fyi, the reference to v-loki has special meaning at microsoft.

if someone is an employee they don't have the v- on the front of the email.

anyone who is a 3rd party (ie contractor) but associated with microsoft will have a v- on the front of their email address.

So what it basically is saying is she doesn't work for microsoft.

Can someone please explain, how did you get cities from the itinerary on the fax?

I'm asking because some of the airline codes don't make sense to me. According to http://www.airlinecodes.co.uk/: SW= Air Namibia, AK = Air Asia...

I went to each of the airline websites in question and found the flights based on their schedules. They're pretty common US airlines:

AW = America West

SW = Southwest

AA = American Airlines

UA = United

AK = Alaska

Ok, so I am also a vendor for MS and the v-loki simply means that she is a vendor and not an employee at MS. On a fluke, I looked up Loki in the global address list and recived a phone number. Once called Loki says " Awesome work! All knowledge eventually needs effective diagnosis."

First letters spell awakened. This is not new territory. Just wanted to clear up what exactly the v- means in her email address.

I'm just checking out some other Vista marketing campaigns, maybe some clues in one of them.

1. You got the Bus that's going around. http://windowsvistablog.com/blogs/ (the "block" Vanishingpointgame thing is on this page.)

2. The Share Your WOW www.showusyourwow.com (Looked throught tons of pages, nothing caught my attention.)

3. http://www.clearification.com/ (I recommend checking this one out just for fun)

Anymore?

Perhaps the image behind Loki is a supernova shockwave. Did some basic google image searches and noticed some similarity. When a star "dies" the supernova and resulting shockwave is what is left. Perhaps I just need more medication....

    • Studio MDHR reveals Cuphead sequel and an 8-bit platformer spin-off by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Studio MDHR has been rather silent about its next major gaming project since the release of Cuphead back in 2017. However, that ended today during the Summer Game Fest presentation, with the studio revealing not one but two project announcements. First, the studio confirmed that it is currently in the middle of developing a brand-new Cuphead game, bringing back the iconic characters for another adventure. Just like the last game, this is slated to be a fully hand-animated endeavor. This also means there isn't a release date attached to it yet. “Craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do here at Studio MDHR,” says co-founder Chad Moldenhauer. “When it came time to peel back the curtain and share a little bit about what we’ve been up to, we couldn’t imagine a more fun way to do so than with today’s Special Bulletin. The studio is working on this new Cuphead with help from Toronto’s Stop Motion Department and Continue Agency. At the same time, Studio MDHR also revealed that another part of the team has been working on a different Cuphead installment. Dubbed the Mighty Cuphead Adventure, this is taking a different art direction to the original. "In true Studio MDHR fashion, this game goes beyond just taking inspiration from the classics of the 1980s… it is actually built with technology of the era," the studio explained. "That's right: Mighty Cuphead Adventure is programmed in assembly language and designed with the exacting specifications of the Sega Master System home gaming console in mind." Aside from releasing on PC and modern consoles, Mighty Cuphead Adventure will even be playable on the 1985-released Sega Master System. A release date has not been announced just yet.
    • Any decent ITSM will A) have a web form that allows a user to raise a ticket, if you're writing an email you can write a ticket. B) Monitor a mailbox and auto-generate tickets based on inbound mails for those users that really can't get their heads around the concept that if you have an issue you go to support.mycompany.com and fill in the box. From your description you're having users email the desk, and then having a human read each one and manually raise a ticket on behalf of the user.
