fmxer Share Posted February 21, 2007 why doesn't a country just build massive thrusters on one side of the earth. and if it comes for us, we just hit the ' GO MOFUGGER!' button and get pushed out of the way. who needs a reliable orbit anyway. nothing more exciting than never knowing when the sun will rise and set.
Zoom7000 Share Posted February 21, 2007 Wasn't the world gonna end in 1999 and 2000? And a few other times before that too? :p

yodat Share Posted February 21, 2007 I say we send our ultimate weapon at it, Chuck Norris. That meteor won't know what hit it. I think we can also consider Vin Diesel as well for that mission... "The eternal conundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when Vin Diesel punched himself in the face."

Coldgunner Share Posted February 21, 2007 Already posted there is a 99.9978% chance it won't hit us, it's being blown out of proportion won't hurt to be prepared with a primary plan and several backups, would it?
The_Decryptor Veteran Share Posted February 22, 2007 There's not a lot we can do, and if we want to do anything we want to do it now. We don't want to make it closer to the moon and get trapped in a orbit around it, that could cause it to hit us, and there are bigger objects to be worried about anyway.
