Definitive Crackdown thread

Looks like Crackdown will be getting more playtime because of all this beta business.

I'm at 499 agility orbs and 269 hidden. I come across probably 5-6 hidden orbs every time I play the game (without looking, just jumping around and whatever). I've had 499 agility orbs for days, and it's driving me crazy. I checked that globe place in the Shai Gen area. No luck :(

Double check the round buildings in Shai Gen. Not just the Fang-Yin globe but also the Oakley building with a long walkway in front in the top right of Shai Gen, when looking at the map. Also check the large Rzeznik parking structure in Shai Gen with a hole in the middle, it looks like a donut on the map.

If you are at a complete loss for the agility orbs, you can try http://www.candiedskull.com/crackdown/images/agilitymap.jpg

If you are stuck on hidden orbs, head on over to http://picasaweb.google.com/frodekn/HiddenOrbs

You can also check out http://www.candiedskull.com/crackdown/ for lots of info. If you see me on, I'd probably be willing to help with some achievements if I'm not busy.

I only suck at the races that take you off the streets and onto the off road areas. I'm stuck on the 4th one right now. It's frustrating, to say the least.

Actually same here, out of the four I have concentrated on, I have been able to get 1st place if they are on the streets.

Off the streets, and I have yet to even finish a race I do so bad.

And is Lu Mugre the one where it is on the streets but super short turns and curves? If it is, I will never complete that one without doing one of the other suggested methods.

Bah, I now have 497 of the 500 agility orbs. This is going to drive me nuts lol.

I cannot even imagine how nuts they would make me, I have 470 now after playing for about 30 minutes before, and I am already so damn frustrated and completely lost. Of that 30 minutes, 27 were spent just jumping from roof to roof through all three towns listening for the sound. I absolutely refuse to use a guide on the Agility Orbs since I got this far on my own (Hidden Orbs is another story), so to be honest, I will never get all 500. It would be a miracle if I do.

Kudos to anyone who even has 490 if you did it on your own. I consider that the biggest achievement of them all.

I did the Agility Orbs without a map....but the thing I did was to stick to an Area until I had all the Orbs from that area....like there are 212 in Los Muertos, 155 in the Volk area, 128 in Shei Gen and 5 in The Keep....although I did have to start a new game to be able to do that (I had 499 the 1st attempt and after a few days of looking I gave in)...I just finished getting the Hidden Orbs, but I went through a map and screenshots to get them :p

All I need to do now is the Stunt Markers :/

Damn smart approach. I wish I did it myself.

After reading this information, it would be great if there was some kind of indication of exactly how many of the orbs you had in each area.

I guess that would take out most of what makes it so hard to do it without any kind of guide though wouldn't it?

Indeed! As me and friend were hunting around for Hidden Orbs we were saying it would of been better to have some sub achievements (not with gamerscore but in the achievements menu in the game itself) which indicated how many orbs in which area u had found....then at least ud know which area to look in :p

Nevertheless, keep looking guys, they're out there somewhere.....don't forget though, they aren't always up high ;)

i managed to get my agility orbs done last night :D

was actually looking for hidden orbs... and i could hear one but not see it then all of a sudden i saw my second from last agility orb.... was so excited then as i got it (in shi gen) i noticed the big crystal maze dome looking thing had one on top! i spent a good 20 mins trying to get up their but oh to see that 50GS roll in was sooo good!

think i have about 45 hidden left to go!

When I tried to reset the gangs it displayed a message along the lines of "mission progress will be lost if you continue" does this mean I will lose my ratings, orbs etc and have to start again?, as Im trying to do Confiscator achievement and need to find some gang cars

I'm pretty sure you can find all the gang vehicles lying around the city without having to reset the gangs.

Thanks for the reply, Ive had a look at some of the crackdown forums and its says you cant get the slammed pickup or lowrider from Los Muertos with resetting the gangs :(

anyone got any tips for getting the stunt ring thats over the ship in volk? some reason i just cant seem to build up enough speed to get the right height!

i think i did it once but veered off to the left of it!

this is my last stunt ring and is driving me nuts!

also any idea where i can find the little baggage car? i swear it was on the heli pad on the oil rig but i've been back so many times and its not their!!!

ok so i only got this game for halo3 last friday, after playing halo 3 pritty much non stop while iv been in untill last nite i havent even tried crackdown. i picked it up last night and thought id try it and it realy is a good game. you dont need superman or spider man Crackdown is everything in one. first thing i did was level up my agility to level 3 with the orbs and then leveled up my strenth. theres no better feeling than jumping from rooftop to rooftop then going to the ground level and kicking some gangs in :D :D :D.

i dont think iv had this much fun in a game in a while!!

defenitly i got hooked i started playing it about 10 last night and couldent come of it untill about 3am haha i wa sup for work at half 6. when i get home im going to go after more gangs i think. then im going to go for more orbs. i mite try co op later on aswell if any one on here wants a game?

Also having the same problem with the stunt ring, I can get so close but seem to miss it

The baggage car is on I believe the 4th level of Vitaliy Rzeznik's parking garage.

been their also... will try again tonight!

It is on the oil rig, you should try save & quit then spawn at the nearest Volk supply point and try again. :)

Will try that next time, got a friend online who is telling me im lying and your lying and that it isnt their... better be tonight so i can prove him wrong lol!

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
