Damn, GTA4 is looking Fiiiiiiiiiiine. Sounds like the story could be a little darker too? I Guess there's going to be alot more press on this in the next days and months, so I think we can expect more footage/pictures soon. :punk:

Anyone else beside me, who feels that trailer seems a bit "last minute" - Like they just throw something together randomly and added music.

O come on!! There hard at work on one of the most anticipated games of the year, and you want them to make a masterpiece of a trailer?? People always find something to nit pick.

who wants small screencaps?

anyone want some screens? I'd be happy to attach them, but we are limited to 250k...wish I had somewhere to upload them to, although im sure there will be some place doing it soon enough

There's people asking where it takes place when you clearly see things like The Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building and the Brooklyn Bridge?

I also like how some people are shouting "crap!" and "overhyped!". You all created the hype. Rockstar has barely said anything about this game except for the recent TV ad that featured the countdown to the trailer. That's the biggest thing they've done. All this hype was created by impatient fans.

Here is a Google link, it's the 720p version so enjoy :) I think they need to work some more on textures but other than that it looks great.

Yea because that would make the game soooo much better.

There's a reason GTA never technically looked as good as anything else.... because it did more than any other game, and pushed the hardware. And i didn't find it ugly at all, because it had a very good art style.

Coming up to 6 hours now  .

Pushed the hardware? You're kidding right? We've seen the ps2 was capable of far more than gta3 and it's following visual clones ever attempted.

And yes, making the game look decent would help it immensely. As it does with any series.

I agree, "overhype shouters" are worse than "overhypers".

Yes they pushed the hardware as much as they could at the time, there is a limit to the size of a huge free streaming world that hardware can take. As well as all the technical stuff they have to do to know to push the game. It's not like they give it bad looks because there lazy..

Anyway, GTA4 looks fantastic.

Google video crippled the vid...

Just go to rockstar and get the HD version. It downloaded at 1.01mb/s for me a few mins ago.

    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
    • Windows 95 offered the ability to add and edit the right click menus, on a per file type basis. This feature seems to be missing in the new file explorer. Are they bringing it back as a "new" feature?
    • It's nearly time to replace my aging Founders Edition 3080, it doesn't OC as nicely as it used to and it's running around 10c warmer than it did when I first bought it.  I don't have budget for much more than what I spent on the 3080 and locally, that means the best GPU I can manage is a 9070XT. On this basis I have a few questions: 1. At present I don't use ray tracing, if this was to change, would this GPU be an issue? 2. How does it compare on a performance basis? 3. Are the drivers worse or better than those for nVidia? 4. Linux support, is it there? 5. Anything else I should be aware of if I were to make this change? 6. Is it a good idea or shall I try and keep the 3080 a little longer.
    • What OS is that? It looks a bit like Mac OS but the command line suggests it isn't, either way I like it!
