Yeah, I rate Kubica..

He came up through the ranks at the same time as Hamilton - I was watching the F1 coverage on ITV the other week and they ran a piece about how Hamilton came to where he is. One bit was about him carting and showed Kubica with him.

McLaren Excluded from World Championships (2007+2008)

The Woking team, who faced the World Motor Sport Council for the second time in Paris today after new evidence came to light, were found guilty of using Ferrari's information in this year's Championship.

And the punishment is their exclusion from this year and next year's World Championships.

Really disappointed about this, although I sort of expected it.

Clarification: WMSC yet to decide on verdict

By Steve Cooper Thursday, September 13th 2007, 15:09 GMT

The World Motor Sport Council has yet to agree on a final verdict, despite our earlier newsflash suggesting otherwise.

Sources have told autosport.com one of the options currently reviewed is to exclude McLaren from both the 2007 and 2008 championship - in line with the World Motor Sport Council's decision in July.

However the FIA said no decision has yet been made, although a verdict is expected imminently.

Considering that the FIA offered Alonso and De la Rosa amnesty for evidence, it would be pretty daft if they did completely ban McLaren, as both lose their job (unless the FIA plans to find them new jobs). So the very fact that they were given amnesty indicates to me that the most the FIA will do is ban McLaren from the constructors.
